CCS - S54 - Hall of Ages - " Pact is the most important "

The pursuit for power never ceases and it is what drives people to go all in, sometimes no matter what the cost is. The price they pay for that has proven to be very steep in the past and it can cost a man more than he is willing to give up. Some have lost it all, some almost did, and some gave up the pursuit, knowing full well what they are giving up and what they gain by doing so. 

Castle City Siege was the perfect opportunity for those power seekers to go for what they desired. This battle for power occurs once a month, it is a one-hour event. During this battle, rival kingdoms fight for control of the designated location( it changes each time), it holds the key to several lucrative titles and it also gives its owner great bonuses (stats-wise, as you will see in the picture below), after the rules had changed, where a fighter can't be attacked in your city or attack others, More players are willing to take part in this event, for the chance to be the champion or help your strong ally win and in doing so you can enjoy the titles that come from being allies of the Champion. You need to know who to fight alongside....don’t you think?

Our story takes us to the 54rd season of the event. Our kingdom, K347, was getting ready for the exciting event. Now if you never visited our kingdom, it is usually a peaceful one, and sometimes we get unwelcome visitors, some just look for a new home to live in, and some come here looking to gain some merit. Since this event is kingdom-based, and some alliances are not so eager for a fight, we had a few members from other alliances(and other kingdoms as well) join forces with us and thus they gain rewards and the chance to take part in battle. Our plans are never the same, it all depends on who we will face and who our allies will be, is will also depend on how many of them will join us in the fight. When our rivals are equal to us in power or even weaker than us( or we have the numbers) then we go all in and (YOLO) we fight for the win and we don’t hold back. But, when we know our rivals are much stronger than us and have more fighters on the battlefield, then the plan changes and we fight for our fighter’s chance to get the points they need to earn rewards and some fights for solo rankings. Or sometimes we make a pact with our enemies to share the top 3 spots, so it’s a win-win for everyone. 

The goal of the event is to hold the castle(it is a different one each time) as long as possible while defending it from enemy attacks, your team must work together, they need to send reinforcements constantly, heal, and send again… on repeat, eventually, the lord who has occupied the castle for the longest time in total will become the Champion Conqueror. Once the current round of Champion City Siege ends, the Peace Phase begins. The Champion Conqueror can confer titles and rewards chests for lords within the same team, who he deems fit and who are worthy of such rewards for their efforts. 

Tension was high all around Westeros, everyone was waiting for the battle to begin. Hall of Ages was a marvelous Structure, with many hidden passages and mysterious magical objects hidden inside. Every kingdom wanted to control it, and CCS was their chance to fulfill their hunger for power. Finally, the day of CCS has arrived, and the surrounding area near the hall is about to be turned into a warzone, blood will be spilled and lives will be lost, that is a known fact, sad but true. Armies from different kingdoms were taking their place on their base, waiting at the starting point, raising their colorful banners high as a symbol of unity, the wind was blowing and it was waving. 

Our leaders were gathering us all around, just like before every battle, Hall of Ages wanted to give some final orders, to make sure everyone knew what to do and where they needed to be, he also wanted to give us all a morale boost, that is always welcome. We were facing I4I, TMD and NBe. We knew that this time achieving top ranks for our people would not be as easy as we hoped it would be. So our leaders, STRAW BERRY and Gwe made a pact to give STRAW BERRY and Sylica a spots at the top 3. Pacts like this are always made in GoTWiC, that fact is well-known and done by many alliances. A smart leader knows when to cut his losses and he knows how to get the best outcome for his alliance. 

“ Listen up guys, we are about to engage in another CCS battle. Our enemies are ready for us and they are as eager as us for a good fight. I hope all of you have your presets ready( to make sure we can send troops fast) and you have enough rss and speedups. We made a pact with them and we will take a spots in the top 3. We will do rallies on our enemies so we can all get our points, it’s a win win for all of us. I know we all love to fight, but we also need to fight smart and save our resources for AC” 

Gwe finished and STRAW BERRY wanted to add a few words as well.

“ Gwe pretty much said it all, I only want to add that I have faith in us and I know we can do it once more. Pay attention and follow the orders as we give them to you … And above all, let’s have fun” 

After they were done, they stepped aside and stood a bit far from everyone. They looked at us and then at the Hall and they were ready to lead us into battle. They are very well experienced and they had a plan for this battle, they never failed us. It’s true we don’t always win, but it’s not due to their leadership. We have complete faith in them and we will follow them anywhere. 

Finally, it was time to fight!!!

The battle started and from all the bases, troops were racing to the Hall to capture it.

STRAW BERRY, our brave and fierce leader raced as well, and he was successful, and now we have 30 seconds to reinforce him before the bubble drops and enemies can attack us. So that is what we did, using the presets we had, our troops were racing fast and filling the Hall, the sounds of racing horses were so loud, it was all we heard while we were rushing to the hall. Now we stand guard and we fend off any attack that will come our way. And those attacks came as expected, Arrows flew our way, and then came the troops with their swords, fire was lit after their dragons rained it on us. STRAW BERRY stood strong and both she and Gwe were in the front leading us bravely. We sustained injuries and our wounded troops were being treated while others were still engaging in combat. Our enemies were relentless, they kept pounding us, but we were not going down without a fight. 

Ten long minutes had passed, it seemed like more time had passed. So much has happened during those 15 minutes, So many lives were put at risk. But that is the way of a warrior and we were ready for it. “ It is time to pull our troops back from defense and go on the offense. According to our agreement, we will now go on the offense, it is time for John Weak to take the Hall ( from PLQ) “ Gwe told us and we did as she asked. STRAW BERRY disbanded the troops in the hall and sent them all back to base. We all needed a little breather. We will take a few minutes to catch our breath and regroup, but not too much time, though. We can’t let Jon just chill in the hall. Now, can we? 😀 and also I'm not sure the other alliances are part of the pact, so they will attack for sure, Jon better be ready for them. 

John Weak, A brave warrior from PLQ, was now controlling the Hall. He was a fierce warrior who had seen his fair share of battles. He was a former SPL member( another alliance from our GoT world ), After many of SPL’s strong warriors left, John Weak was looking for a new home and found one in PLQ. After some time had passed, it seemed as tho He found a new home and was fitting in perfectly. His allies were sending troops to the Hall to reinforce( not as fast as she would have preferred), their enemies would come for the Hall and he wanted to be ready for them. 

And as expected, attacks came from all bases, including ours, rallies were ready and once the order came, they launched. Loud sounds of horses mixed with commanders shouting their orders to their troops. Then came the swords clashing as they arrived to the base, arrows flew in the air looking for a target to hit. STRAW BERRY led us in the first round of rallies, our aim was to get as many enemy troops as we could and gain points, the more we got the more elimination points we earn, that was one of our goals for this match( remember?). Our attacks as well as the attacks of the other alliances were doing some significant damage, as was seen on the number of deployments left inside the Hall after the rallies hit. But even tho Jon was taking hit after hit, He and his allies remained strong and they kept their hold of the Hall. 

More than next minutes had passed and John Weak needed a break and some time to regroup himself and his team as well. The agreement has him taking place in TOP 3 and he still needs more time in, which he will gain after the next holder of the Hall gets his or her time and it was time to switch mode from defense to offense. He and his troops will take a minute( or maybe a few) and then they will rally the next holder of the Hall which will be ... .can u guess who?? Well, chill peeps, I will not keep you in suspense and I will tell you, per the agreement made it will be Sylica from DUM. He will go for the 2nd place, and no one is going to go easy on his, so he better prepare herself and his allies better be ready to reinforce her as the attacks will hit his.

Sylica, the member of DUM is one of the strongest warriors in the realm of Westeros. He is a fierce warrior and has a lot of battle experience, he has seen many battlefields and he vanquished many enemies during his battles all around the 7 kingdoms. Our trusted generals have been by his side for many years and they were loyal to his, they would lay down their lives for her if he asked them, in fact, they would do it even if he didn’t ask them. 

As he was taking his spot in the Hall, our troops followed him and took their position inside, armed and ready to defend our warrior and the Hall they were now occupying....

Some minutes later first marches to race to the hall were from AfV, followed by troops from OBV and also from I4I. He saw the looks on her troops and she calmed them down.

“ We got this guys, fear not, we are warriors and we are here to fight as we do in every battle. I have faith in you and in our team… now get ready they will be here soon”. said John Weak

The attacks arrived one by one, they hit and some of them hit pretty hard, PLQ suffered losses and had troops wounded, but they rebounded quickly and rushed back to aid in the defense. Our attack did good damage to Jon’s troops, and we also suffered some as well. But they weren’t that bad and we kept on sending more attacks, and like us, so did the other alliances on the battlefield. These were some very intense moments of battle.

All of a sudden a scream was heard in the Hall… John Weak and his troops were hit hard and they lost the Hall. What just happened? How did they lose it? Jon was so confused and angry, he took her troops and they headed back for the Hall, he wasn’t about to give up, he was determined to claim his victory of this CCS and his man was on a quest to grant her that. When they arrived at the Hall they fought bravely and claimed it back, quickly reinforcing their leader and making sure they had enough troops in to make sure it wouldn’t be easy for any enemy to take it from them. And that is what they did for the next few minutes( that seemed more than just a few minutes) until they had secured enough time to make Jon the champion of this CCS, he was exhausted and he was ready to pull back from the Hall and go back to base as the great victor of this day. 

The dust had barely settled down as all teams were heading back to base, some more bruised than the others. It has been quite an ordeal for all participants, but we survived it and we gained the rewards we were hoping for and the agreement was kept to the fullest, so all came out of this with what was promised. Sometimes deals are made, but in the heat of battle, they are not kept to the fullest or not even kept at all. But this time it was, and that made STRAW BERRY and Gwe very happy, their team got all the possible bonuses and STRAW BERRY and Sylica got a spots in the top 3, which will gain them some rewards they can later use to strengthen himself and thus them team will benefit from that as well. 

The next season will commence in exactly one month, when all teams will be back on the battlefield, raising their swords and shields, either to attack an enemy or defend against one. What location will my kingdom get? What pacts will be made and will they be kept?

So many questions went through my mind as we came back to base… I don’t have the answers at the moment, you and i will have to wait for the next exciting CCS season to start to find out. I can’t wait… Can you?
