The Warlord,The White Walkers, and The General
(Night King Invasion)
Today was not an ordinary Autumn day. While on normal days during this newly arrived season I would often gaze upon the rich vibrantly blue sky and come across the usual fall foliage, watching as the brightly colored leaves began to drop onto the ground. Then followed by a more modernly colder climate with strong winds now brought by the season of harvest. However, today was not the case. Instead of fall’s splendorous sight in its place was land that was all withered, trees completely barren of leaves. Frost now covered and surrounded the lands and the once beautifully colored blue sky was dim, dead, and devoid of the light that came from the sun.
The once flourishing kingdom now fell into ruin as it became corrupted and defiled by an evil force causing the hearts of all the residents in the realm to be filled with hopelessness. That evil force was none other than The Night King and his undead army as they made their way towards Winterfell with plans on bringing destruction and death to Westeros and all of its inhabitants.
However there were still many who were determined to stop and defeat him and bring an end to his tyranny.
I shivered as I stood on guard along with my allies just outside of Winterfell waiting to defend this Great City from the White Walker’s onslaught. They were currently being led by the vicious, power hungry, and ambitious General who served as The Night King’s right hand with unwavering loyalty. Just as these undead creatures were being commanded by the General, this small army of heroes were being led by the great and valiant Warlord Omaewa who gathered his armies along with us to try and end this threat.
I now gripped tightly onto my weapon ready to strike the hoard of these undead beings that were rapidly heading towards me. When they had finally reached me I did not hesitate and flung my sword at the nearest White Walker before it even had a chance to fight me, sending it to quick death as its blood began gushing out staining the once pure white snow. The air was soon filled with a foul stench that resulted after the White Walker was slain, almost causing me to gag but I had to pull myself together and continue to fight for the sake of our kingdom. I soon heard an inhuman screeching followed by more White Walkers that were heading our way.
They came swinging their tainted weapons at me hoping to rid me from the battlefield in their attempt to average their fallen comrade, but I intercepted them on time and managed to quickly disarm my undead opponents. They soon met the same demise as that White Walker before them did when I took my sword and plunged it deep into their lifeless hearts finishing them off.
I had no time to recover and catch my breath or relish in this small victory because more of the General’s undead armies began coming at us in waves. I stood along with my allies vigilantly waiting for our foes to arrive as we held our positions with our weapons ready.
They soon came charging right at us screaming their cries of death. Once again their weapons clashed against our own as we continued to fight them. The blood from our lifeless opponents splattered everywhere as we slashed our enemies into sending their bodies crumbing down into the snow.
Each time they came at us we were able to overpower them and they were easily defeated by us but I was beginning to suddenly feel unease. Something is not right I thought or was it? This is too easy…. I soon began to come to the conclusion that this regiment of White Walkers that were sent to demolish us were much weaker than the ones that we had fought against in the past. Or maybe the army of the undead seemed to be no match for the forces of TQL even though our armies only consisted of a small group of our soldiers led by our allies. Despite my worries we continued to press forward to fight them and defend Winterfell.
Eventually after countless hours of trying to fend them off we all began to grow weary. Being weakened from the fighting for a long duration of time without any retrieve caused many of us to lose morale. Soon whatever will that we had left to fight for our kingdom was almost completely diminished when I heard the sound of unfriendly soldiers approaching from a short distance, all I could see was the hideous blue eyes belonging to these “unfriendly soldiers” gleaming within the darkness. The General’s reinforcements had arrived!! I thought in horror.
Within moments they reached us and I could see that it was another hoard that arrived but this time with more fierce looking White Walkers. I now realized they had outsmarted us and we were outnumbered as they suddenly surrounded us leaving no room to escape. They held their weapons while muttering something in an almost foreign and inhuman manner that I could not comprend, except that they were planning how to end us. For a moment I felt nothing but deep hopelessness knowing that we would all soon meet a terrible fate but would be happy knowing that we were doing this for the better of our kingdom and all residents. I was about to smile and resign from this mission and accept my defeat but then I saw some of the legendary Heroes of Westeros as I saw them fighting the General’s forces nearby.Daenerys Jon Snow, Arya and others were the Heroes who came here to fight alongside us to defeat the Night King and his curse of eternal darkness and restore the peace.
Not wanting their sacrifices to be in vain, I looked to my allies who were next to me Deadsie and a few others and rallied the forward. “It may seem as if all will soon be lost for us and that our enemies will conquer our kingdom but we will not let that happen. They will not break our resolve nor will the Stranger take us. Not today!! We will charge them for the name of TQL and our kingdom!! “ I said as I leapt forward my sword flying faster than lighting as I stabbed it into the nearest White Walker catching him off guard.
To my relief Deadsie and the others followed doing the same and slightly cutting them down. Sadly that was not enough to weaken them and they kept coming at us. I didn’t know how much longer we would be able to carry through this and once again felt lost but just as one of them pulled its weapon at me slashing it inches away from reaching my head they suddenly all stopped and froze in place. What in the world?? I thought.
While we fought our opponents in this frozen and forgotten territory outside of Winterfell near defeat and our armies and this battle were almost forfeit, the mighty Omaewa stood his ground.
He relentlessly fought one to one against the General who seemed to be a formidable adversary with much skill and prowess.
Almost matching him by strength. As he fought against this young and capable mortal, The General began laughing, a deep and unearthly sound that came out from him. “You think you can challenge me boy?? You are powerless against me. Soon you and your followers will all rot in the snow after I cut you all down. My Lord and Master will soon triumph and this whole kingdom will be ours. All hail the Lord of the Eternal Night” Said The Night King’s right hand mockingly.
None of these words affected nor broke Omaewa’s resolve. This was used to the Warlord’s advantage. As while the General was distracting, gloating and laughing at him Omaewa took his chance and swept his blade right at the unsuspecting General, wounding him and nearly sending him flying to the ground. Terror, disgust, and hatred were shown in the eyes of this evil creature as now the young man looked at the General without betraying any emotion. “How??” He said as he looked loathsomely at the Hero. “You know, Omaewa replied, “You talk too much.” Those were the words he said as his weapon was inches away from the General’s lifeless heart.
I could not believe my eyes when I saw our enemies stop in our tracks. ‘What is going on? 'I said to Deadsie, being confused at the change of course. “Look there” ,he said and I turned to see Omaewa who had his sword seconds away from defeating the almost mortally wounded General.
Amazing I thought as I began to reminisce on the events that led us to this very moment….
Nights before the Eternal Night had befallen on Westeros, Rangers from the Night's Watch while on scouting mission Beyond to the Wall to make sure all was in order had caught sight of a horrible scene that came from many miles away. They had seen The Night King and his armies heading their way towards Winterfell and had immediately left their post to return to Castle Black and report their finds to their Knight Commander Jon Snow. He had ordered the Stewards and Maesters to send ravens throughout the Kingdom to warn everyone of the coming threat. Soon a raven had reached our queen of TQL Bella and she was made aware of this and had assembled all the Warriors of TQL to get ready to fight for our kingdom. When I awoke in the morning I recalled exiting my castle to find battle camps scattered and laid across all over King’s Landing. Everyone was preparing to journey over at Winterfell to fight and defend this Great City. Large and magnificent ships with brightly colored sails had also arrived bringing Daenerys and her allies with her. She met with Queen Bella and her commanders to discuss how to put an end to this threat and how they would aid us in this coming battle.
Danerys and her armies eventually left King’s Landing to venture to Winterfell to help Jon Snow and his sisters along with the Rangers of the Night’s Watch to defend Winterfell. After many here saw the young ruler head to Winterfell, King’s Landing was becoming vacant as many of the Lords and Ladies of TQL sought to follow her and started to embark towards Winterfell also.
When the word came that The General who was The Night King’s right hand and most trusted and powerful commander had already arrived at Winterfell, Omaewa was one of the first warriors determined to journey to fight and defeat him. “ My Lady, would you care to accompany me as I make a trip over to The North and aid me as I plan on making rallies against the General.” Omaewa had said to me earlier as he extended his hand towards me. He was not just a brave and powerful warrior but he was also my husband. “Yes, it would be my honor to join you.” I said as I accepted his hand as he helped me into the carriage that would soon leave for Winterfell.
It took a few hours to reach our destination and the trip there was slightly bumpy and I had to brace myself several times as the carriage often encountered slippery or more rough areas of the ground that were covered in either snow, rocky dirt or ice. However the view was lovely and I saw many memorial sights while we journeyed there. Eventually Omaewa and I had finally arrived at Winterfell, where we saw Jon Snow and his Rangers and Daenerys and her unsullied armies fighting against the Walk Walkers. We had exited the carriage and rode our horses to Winterfell to learn of the General’s whereabouts. One of the scouts from the order of the Night’s Watch led us to where the General was wreaking havoc to some of the Rangers just outside of Winterfell.
We positioned ourselves in that region and Omaewa started making rallies with our forces to launch them at The General. Though it was just the two of us at that time we were slowly making some progress against our enemy as Omaewa’s attackers were successful and began to slightly weaken him. Feeling satisfied Omaewa went to make another rally but was quickly hindered by a large number of White Walkers that kept coming at us. Omaewa pulled his sword out and kept fighting them off while I tried helping him only to be of little or no help. Soon Omaewa realized that with only two of us fighting against them was not enough we were going to need reinforcements if we hoped to succeed.
We then sent ravens flying off bearing messages to recruit more warriors to fight for our cause hoping that some of the remaining members of TQL that were still in King’s Landing would see this message and join us in the fight. Soon enough I saw one of our friendliest and heartful allies Deadsie and his troops enter into our ranks and unite his forces into Omaewa’s rallies. A few more Lord’s from TQL followed after Deadsies arrival to also help us in the fight against The General.
Now that we were no longer outnumbered and with Omaewa’s leadership we were able to resume our mission, we continued to make a dent on the General’s armies. This moment I knew that we had a chance to end this once and for all as a strong army. I was even glad to see that King Sotler and Demice had also arrived with their armies and fought against the White Walkers as well.
As the battle continued we had so far been advancing in this battle and had the upper hand.
Omaewa was very pleased with this outcome, and decided to launch another rally at The General. “Everyone at arms be ready to join my rally as will will rid our kingdom from this evil that is now present here. With your combined strengths we shall strike yet another blow at our enemy and maybe if this persists we will be able to send him back to the pits that he spawned from. Get ready and charge forward!” Omaewa said. In response we all joined into his rally and marched forward to face The General…

The Night King and his undead armies slowly creep closer to Winterfell and they are now past Beyond the Wall. The Night King pauses for a moment to look ahead as he can now see Winterfell from a distance. “Soon my faithful servant The General will destroy most of the mortals who try to challenge us and once I arrive I will have slain them all. This Kingdom will soon be mine.” He thought. He smiled a cold, a vicious smile that was enough to make anyone flee in terror had they witnessed this. The light that came from his bright blue eyes never failing to cease is frightening but radiant glow as he now resumed marching with his massive undead army to his conquest.
Once his rally was full Omaewa gave us the signal and we all sent our armies charging right at The General’s. Our blades collided into those of the White Walkers and the battle once again erupted. Shouts, wails, clanking sounds of armor and weapons smashed into each other, the sharp and metallic smell of blood combined with a reeking odor from the undead could now all be seen, heard and smelt as the battle began erupting.
It was an utter bloodbath and our small group was winning thanks to Omaewa’s leadership. Soon this battle would be ours and we could not be more proud. I began to take note of how true of a leader Omaewa was. He had good strategies, was a clever thinker and his maneuvers and weaponry skills would be quite outstanding. This was what allowed him to so far defeat the Generals forces each time he rallied him. Unfortunately I was not the only one to notice this.
The General, not wanting to be bested by a mere mortal, could no longer risk having his armies become immobilized and came at Omaewa in a frenzy. The Lord almost had no time to react as he did not anticipate such a sudden move from his opponent but luckily was able to invade his attack as The General threw his blade at him nearing missing his neck.
The undead commander now kept swiping his blade at Omaewa with inhuman speed and strength that he was left with no choice but to parry the powerful White Walker’s every attempt at trying to eliminate Omaewa.
While leaving us without a leader was part of The General’s plan Omaewa decided to foil it by using this as a distraction to keep The General away from us in hopes that we were strong and able enough to fend off the White Walkers attacks.
Now that Omaewa had gone to fight the General alone it was now up to myself, Deadsie and the others to continue to protect Winterfell by fending off the White Walkers assaults. It was no easy task without Omaewa here to guide us in battle. We had to face the dark corruption, numbing cold weather and exhaustion brought by the Eternal Night in addition to fighting these terrible creatures that never stopped attacking us. Despite the odds that were not in our favor we never gave up and preserved knowing that defeat was not an option. This is what led us to this very moment.
Omaewa was now going to do it. He was going to defeat The General once and for all. He took his blade and aimed it at the General who thought all mortals were beneath him who now trembled in fear. His soldiers, seeing their General in danger, stopped their attacks. It looked like they were about to rush and aid their master. Omaewa’s sword now pierced through the General’s armor and was seconds away from making its way towards his heart but then he gave Omaewa such a sinister smile before letting out a deafening roar causing Omaewa and everyone else to fall to the ground and cover their ears. Once it ended Omaewa recovered only to find that The General and his armies had fled. He saw them escaping past the Wall. “Coward” he thought and almost contemplated chasing after him but realized that it was enough bloodshed for one day.
Deadsie and I rode uo met with Omaewa. “Are you okay Omaewa?” I had asked. “You look wounded, do you need a medic?” I was concerned for him. He shrugged it off claiming it was nothing more than a scratch. “ Well played Omaewa.” Deadsie said. “So will we now run after them? They are trying to escape..” he asked. Omaewa shook his head. “No, let them run, we have already won this battle. All that is left for us is to return back to Winterfell and rest we are going to need our strength for when The Night King arrives. “ He said.
We returned back to Winterfell shortly after this ordeal was over and I was glad to finally be back in my castle and able to rest and recover my strength as I was going to need it if we wanted to defeat The Night King.
