💠Introduction

What’s up, folks? With so many new recent events and patches, coupled with lots of community chatter, it’s sometimes difficult to keep up. Welcome to my weekly edition of Player’s Digest where I’ll take a look at some of the recent happening, summarize them in a digestible way, provide some context and thoughts, and help readers keep up with all things related to Infinity Kingdom.

💠Table of Contents

  • Illusion Battlefield League
  • Patch 2.7.3
  • Pirate Festival Event
  • Summary

💠Illusion Battlefield League

The first matches of the Top 16 Duels kicked off this week. Unlike the last round, this stage is single elimination which means the losing alliance is out of the tournament.

  • Server 73’s BUNS defeated Server 82’s GN in a closer-than-expected match.
  • Server 38’s AoW gave Server 73’s PRD a thrashing and knocked them out of the tournament.
  • Server 56’s HMB defeated Server 105’s AWG in a relatively easy match.
  • Server 38’s SSQ beat Server 56’s farm alliance N0VA.
  • Server 38’s VEX defeated Server 193’s KoS in a one-sided game.
  • Server 38’s WOLF crushed Server 205’s 1ST who barely had any players show up to the match.
  • Server 73’s CUBS beat Server 170’s IMPK in a win that surprised no one except IMPK themselves.
  • Server 170’s SF nearly kept Server 209’s WV from getting any points.

With eight teams left, Server 38 has half of the representation, Server 73 has two teams still fighting for the championship, and Servers 56 and 170 have one team apiece. Next week, BUNS will look to avenge PRD and take on AoW. HMB will look to beat SSQ and pay them back for N0VA’s loss. VEX will get a free win against their farm alliance WOLF and SF will look to avenge IMPK’s loss to CUBS. Three out of four matchups next week will be against alliances from servers one of the teams already faced this week. All but the VEX and WOLF game should be a nail-biter.

💠Patch 2.7.3

Patch 2.7.3 just hit Norheim with major changes to Mysterium. The new Mysterium brings along the Points Shop which contains shards for Yoshitsune, Harald, Cleopatra, Leonidas, William, Hippolyta, Frederick, Ashoka, Richard, Peter, Yi Seong-gye, Qin, Arthur, and Hannibal as well as their exclusive artifacts. Players can now skip to the last floor of Mysterium if they have already completed it before. This update was intended to make Mysterium feel like less of a chore and give newer players another way to get starter immortals and their artifacts without investing money. One full artifact will take 12 days to complete or six Mysterium runs. The caveat and downside is that certain artifacts like Alexander’s are no longer available from Mysterium. Fret not because there are so many ways you can get Earth Artifact Selection Chests now.

Blessing of Triss was also renamed and revamped into the new Wisdom Well. Rewards are divided into three tiers – epic, rare, and general. Epic rewards consist of the four legendary skills, rare rewards include artifact selection chests for Holy and Shadow immortals as well as skill stone selection chests, and general rewards contain resources and crafting materials. Instead of the previous version where each skill stone draw will grant you 12 stones, the new well will only give four stones. However, four stones are guaranteed for every 30 coins you spend so on average, you will get at least 12 skill stones every 90 coins and likely more.

💠Pirate Festival Event

The annual Pirate Festival Event made its return this week with new sets of quests for all to participate in. The event lasts five days and rewards can be claimed also be claimed on the sixth day. The biggest part of the event is getting cannonballs from missions that can last a few hours. The cannonballs can be used to defeat Krakens in a progressive quest. There are three tiers of rewards for the quests: free, Gem, and premium. The Gem tier costs 3,500 gems to unlock and the premium tier costs $19.99 to unlock. The event is not very free-to-play friendly as it’s a huge grind to reach the final stage of the quest and the rewards aren’t the best. For the free tier, the only decent reward lies at level 40 which is 60 Artifact Schematic Fragment Selection Chests. For the Gem tier, players can get 60 Shadow and Light Selection Chests. Lastly, for the premium tier, you can get Crimson Moonlight, Stardust, Random Immortal Fragments, and 80 Fate of Chaos Selection Chests. Players should not spend much of their AP or Gems for this event. There are better events to wait and save for.

💠Summary

After the first week of the Top 16 Duels, only BUNS, AoW, HMB, SSQ, VEX, WOLF, CUBS, and SF remain in the fold. Patch 2.7.3 was released this week with huge updates to Mysterium and Blessing of Triss. The Pirate Festival Event is the star of the show this week but the rewards may not be worth doing for many players.
