💠Introduction

What’s up, folks? With so many new recent events and patches, coupled with lots of community chatter, it’s sometimes difficult to keep up. Welcome to my weekly edition of Player’s Digest where I’ll take a look at some of the recent happening, summarize them in a digestible way, provide some context and thoughts, and help readers keep up with all things related to Infinity Kingdom.

Summary

💠Illusion Battlefield League

The final week of the Groups Elimination stage concluded. The eight teams from the gold side of each bracket were already locked in so this week, only the 16 teams from the silver side fought for the final eight seats.

In Group 1, Server 209’s WV defeated Server 13’s TYT to claim the final seat in the bracket.
In Group 2, Server 38’s alt alliance WOLF demolished Server 170’s own alt alliance IMPF.
In Group 3, Server 56’s alt alliance QSS knocked out Server 253’s WIB to give Server 56 both of the gold and silver seats in the group.
In Group 4, Server 73’s PRD edged out Server 136’s AOSK to make it through to the Top 16 Duels.
In Group 5, Server 82’s GN showed their experience and beat Server 273’s inexperienced team PXR.
In Group 6, Server 253’s KoZ lost against Server 170’s IMPK, unsurprisingly.
In Group 7, Server 193’s KoS defeated their sister team, F8, to claim the final slot in the group.
Lastly, in Group 8, Server 105’s AWG defeated Server 253’s ToW, securing the final spot in the top 16.

In the Top 16 Duels, alliances that claimed the gold seat will avoid other alliances that finished in gold and match against alliances that beat out all the teams in the silver side of the brackets. On the left side, BUNS will face GN, AoW will battle PRD, HMB will fight AWG, and SSQ will face QSS. On the right side, VEX will face off against KoS, 1ST will battle WOLF, CUBS will match against IMPK, and finally, SF will fight WV. The rest of the tournament is single-elimination so teams will not get a second chance.

💠Legion of Frostborne

The second season of the new KvK will kick off in just a few days. Server 38 dominated their bracket last season and will look to do so again as their fellow contenders will stand no chance against their high-powered players. Even if Servers 13, 43, 45, 153, 180, 183, and M003 all banded against 38, they would barely scratch the behemoth. Server 56 also got an easy bracket against Servers 82, 90, 136, 143, 164, 187, and M004. None of those servers will hold a candle to 56. Servers 73 and 170 have a potentially interesting matchup with Servers 71, 115, 139, 193, 209, and M002. Bracket 215 will also be interesting and should be a fairly even matchup. Servers 52, 57, 66, 233, and 243 will have to choose their federations while Servers 105 do battle against Servers 205 and 231 who chose to ally with each other. With the way the new KvK works, it’ll be interesting to see if certain alliances from servers that have already chosen their allies will create federations with the enemies placed in their starting faction.

💠Patch 2.7.3 Notes

Patch 2.7.3 is slated to be released on September 12, 2024. This patch is mostly geared towards revamping Mysterium, an event most of the community has been complaining about and wanting some changes to the dull and mundane gameplay every two days. The new Mysterium will have random events, new shops, and a new level selection feature. Unique Exclusive Artifacts can be exchanged for Mysterium Points. In other news, the Blessing of Triss event is going away in favor of the new Well of Wisdom event. The new event will include Legendary Ability Stones, Epic Ability Stones which include all of the new skills, Holy Exclusive Artifact Selection Chests, and Shadow Exclusive Artifact Selection Chests. Every 30 draws will guarantee an epic reward. The patch also includes several optimizations to KvK including not allowing troops to be dispatched from another faction so players can no longer hide behind gates to attack and alliances’ first thermal tower must be placed in their own safe zone. This means to place towers in other zones, alliances will need to chain their own towers or chain their towers against enemy towers while dismantling. Artemisia is getting an increase in energy regeneration and duration to her skill. Wind Dragon will also get a buff to one of its skills and talents.

💠Summary

After gold teams secured their seats in the final 16 last week, silver seats are finally being claimed. WV, WOLF, QSS, PRD, GN, IMPK, KoS, and AWG claim the final eight seats. Matchmaking for KvK has been completed and several servers have easy brackets while others have more difficult ones. Servers 73 and 170’s bracket will be interesting and Servers 105 and 231’s bracket will be competitive as well. Patch 2.7.3 notes have been released and this patch specifically targets Mysterium, Blessing of Triss, and KvK with more optimizations.
