💠Introduction

What’s up, folks? With so many new recent events and patches, coupled with lots of community chatter, it’s sometimes difficult to keep up. Welcome to my weekly edition of Player’s Digest where I’ll take a look at some of the recent happening, summarize them in a digestible way, provide some context and thoughts, and help readers keep up with all things related to Infinity Kingdom.

💠Illusion Battlefield

Last week, we saw a slew of incredible regular IB matches. Server 73’s PRD and BUNS merged their strongest players to create a strong team in BUNS and a weaker team in PRD. PRD matched against Server 38’s VEX and defeated them in a narrow win. BUNS went back and forth with Server 38’s AoW and managed to pull out a win against some of the strongest players in the game. Server 170’s SF completed a comeback against Server 38’s SSQ after SSQ broke down colossally and lost all five towers and handed the third loss to 38. Server 205’s Lion lost to Server 170’s IMPK and Server 66’s GSI lost to Server 205’s 1ST. Unsurprisingly, Server 136’s MIAU lost to Server 105’s AWG after losing its strongest players to AoW. Next week will be a break for regular IB as teams recuperate from their battles.

💠Open Arena

There are only a couple of days left before a new set of skills are banned for the rest of the season while the previously banned skills will return. The returning skills should benefit Holy and Fire teams the most. The new set of banned skills won’t impact many elemental teams as Weakness Protection and Fear of Domination are both niche and mediocre skills. Server 66’s Senku currently leads the rankings with Holy, Fire, and Lightning elements and a mere 40-point lead. Tupac III and KinCaid from Server 73 hold second and third, respectively. Most of the top ranks are dominated by Holy, Fire, and Lightning or Earth compositions. Shadow teams are littered among the top 100. The returning skills should bump healers up which, in turn, will hurt every other element not using those skills optimally. I suspect Earth users will climb a little while Lightning users will drop a little.

💠Original Festival

The Original Festival ends this week on April 26. Players will have an extra day to buy Colorful Party passes as well as redeem Original Crystals and Floral Coins for rewards. For free-to-play players, getting an exclusive artifact is the most worth it. For spenders who have been purchasing the Original Festival Limited-Time Gift bundles daily, you should have 140 Original Crystals, enough to purchase the 80 Fate of Chaos Selection Chests which is good value and should reduce the cost of maxing a Chaos immortal. If you have extra Floral coins, the 5-minute speedups are a good item to trade in pieces of the coin for. You can buy as many as 999 speedups so you won’t be running out. Some players also save the Original Crystals and Floral Coins for next year’s Original Festival but I would advise against that. Spending the coins now to gain a power-up is significantly better than waiting a year in hopes that the event will require the same event items.

💠Summary

BUNS versus AoW, PRD versus VEX, SF versus SSQ, IMPK versus Lion, and MIAU versus AWG were the high-profile matches this week. BUNS defeated AoW, PRD beat VEX, SF won against SSQ, IMPK beat Lion, and AWG defeated MIAU without breaking a sweat. The second half of Open Arena will begin in a couple of days with a handful of new useable skills. Original Festival ends this week and using the events is generally better than hoarding the items.
