Legion of Frostborne - Tactics

Hi everyone, i’m PO PandaMoratia. In today’s article we will talk about the Tactics in the Legion of Frostborne Campaign.

As the chronicle progresses, each alliance will earn Tactics points that they can use to gain various advantages. I will not go over all the available one, but only the most commonly use and those that will affect most your Frostborne experience.

Template : 

There are 3 branches available: War, Defense and Expansion. And you can have 3 presets. Switching from one preset to another triggers a cooldown before you can switch again. Active tactics that are not active in your current preset don't cooldown so you cannot go from one preset to another and always have your active tactics available, you need to get through the cooldown period without active tactics for them to replenish. 

You can freely redo your tactics and change your selection if you are unhappy with your current setting.

Most Commonly used Tactics : 

Some tactics are almost always activated at some point by top alliance : 

Expansion : 

-Indestructible : Make your Thermal Tower more resilient and increase the time required to dismantle them.

-Engineering Expertise : Decrease Thermal Tower construction time by half for 30 minutes.

-Demolition : Decrease Thermal Tower dismantling time by half for 30 minutes.

-Iron Wall : Immediately recover 100% structure to all your Thermal Tower.

-Wonder Builder : The next thermal place will be constructed instantly.

-Security Alert : Raise a shield and expel all dismantling troops from your thermal for 30 minutes.

Defense : 

-Backup Battery : Clear all alliance members teleportation cooldown.

War : 

-Swift Runners : For 10 minutes, Alliance members’ Marching Speed is increased by 20% (mostly used in objective races).

Conclusion : 

R5 and R6 are in charge of managing tactics but it is important everybody knows they exist and can be available to help keep track of the opponent’s tactics usage and your own. Be aware of abbreviation often used such as WB for Wonder Builder and IW for Iron Wall so you can understand what players are talking about and why you sometimes delay objectives because you are waiting on a cooldown.
