THE FEMALE SYNERGY

The Female Synergy is built and revolves around Leila Mormont. Her 4-star awakening skill ‘Mama Bear’s Frenzy’ helps all the female commanders to use their “Active Army Skill” multiple times. Now this results in some extra damage. 

This setup is heavily dependent on the Active Army skill damage and so it is better to use awakened commanders in this setup.

Another very crucial point to be noted here is that since this synergy totally relies on Commander damage, it's best to use mono troop type with this Female synergy. Playing multiple lines negatively impacts the performance and reduces the damage done by the commanders.

For example,

Playing 1 troop-type → 100% damage (best case scneario)

Playing 2 troop-type → 50% damage (total 100% damage divided into 2 halves)

Playing 3 troop-type → 33.33% damage (total 100% damage divided into 3 equal parts)

Importance of Active Army Skill:

Active Army Skill has same values for all the commanders, only name changes.

By default, AAS damage is set to 105% of the troop’s attack (gray quality and no awakening) but it can be improved by improving the commander’s quality and awakening.

And the cooldown period by default is 15 seconds but it can also be reduced through awakening.

Therefore, if we use female commanders who are of Gold quality and 4-star awakened, this setup works in the ideal way.

Other means to boost the Setup

Active Army Skill can also be improved through some “Castle Exteriors” and we also have Red dragon skills “Dragon Strong Assault Skill” and “Dragon Follow-up Skill”.

“Dragon Strong Assault Skill” increases all our commander’s AAS by 12% (originally if we use a 4-star commander, then she/he has 260%). Additionally, this skill also offers Total Attack.

“Dragon Follow-up Skill” helps to trigger a dragon follow-up attack, every time our commanders use their AAS. With Leila, this probability increases exponentially.

“Flaming Throne” and “Majestic Holy City” increase All commanders’ AAS damage by 30%. Also, there are other castle exteriors which boost just cav, inf or spear commander’s AAS damage:

1. Storm Fortress - Infantry

2. Hall of Honor - Cavalry

3. Imposing Brightwater - Spearmen

Compatible Commanders for the Setup

Since Leila helps female commanders to repetitively use their “Active Army Skill” it is always beneficial to have more female commanders in the lineup. However, even if we add a few male commanders, it doesn’t have a negative impact on the synergy, just decreases the efficiency and effectiveness.

GREAT FEMALES:

Salma

Salma’s Awakening skill allows all female comms to have 80% chance to use their Active Army Skill once in the beginning of the battle (at 1 second) and this can trigger Leila’s Awakening skill and often because of this loop, enemy suffers heavy damage in the beginning itself.

Cersei Lannister

Whenever our commanders (both male and female) use their Active Army Skill, Cersei can cast “Disarm” effect while causing extra damage through ‘Wildfire’ attack.

Daenerys Targaryen

Just like Cersei, Dany can also cast “Disarm” effect on the enemy and also summons the dragon to launch 1 attack in the beginning of the battle. Daenerys also reduces Active Army Skill cooldown period by 3 seconds at 4-star, so that means she’ll cast their skill after every 7 seconds.

Senelle

Senelle is the latest addition which strengthens the Female lineup a lot. She has a unique ability to “Purify the Debuffs” of her lineup and she also increases the skill damage of all the female commanders. 

So, Senelle can purify Bleed, Silenced and Disarmed effects caused by other commanders. Also, another amazing quality for Senelle is that she is most suitable for Cav players as she offers ‘Cavalry Anti-Counter’ stats, i.e. Enemy spearmen will deal less damage to your allied cavalry. 

Margaery Tyrell

On similar front, Margaery also casts “Disarm” status on 1 random enemy male commander (time depends upon the enemy male commanders count in the lineup)

GOOD FEMALES:

Annie

Annie’s Awakening skill is good and is connected to her Active Army skill. Therefore, if she uses her AAS, it is highly beneficial in the female setup as she gets to use her Awakening skill repetitively.

Arya Stark

Just like Annie, Arya’s Awakening skill is also connected to her AAS. Although she doesn't wipe out enemies like Annie, she does put a death marker on them at every hit and that results in some extra damage.

OTHER FEMALES:

Latz Karin

Laena Waters

Meranda

Andrea

Melisandre

Sheila

As we can notice, female synergy is the most flexible of all 3 synergies as we can play any troop type with this, even bows.

BAD COMMANDERS FOR THIS SETUP:

Sinara (at 4-star)

Sinara’s Awakening skill “Silences” all the fellow commanders and hence it is quite the opposite of what we want from the Female setup. (We’ll discuss more in the Bleed setup)

Rhea (at 4-star)

Rhea at 4-star silences herself and so can’t use Active Army Skill, not that might not be 100% bad but that leaves 1 less female commander for Leila to trigger her skill, hence not advisable.

Sandor (at 4-star)

Sandor also “Silences” himself and 1 other random ally commander and because of it, it’s not nice to mix him with the female synergy.

COMMANDERS WHO ARE A THREAT FOR THIS SETUP:

Petyr Baelish

Petyr’s awakening skill counters the Female setup pretty hard because he inflicts ‘Disharmony’. This makes him a big threat as this effect lasts for the whole battle.

Weapons for this Synergy:

Ideally, there are no weapons in-game who are specific for the improvement of any synergy. How it basically works is, each commander’s weapon improves their awakening skill or overall performance and then as an end product, it enhances the performance. Just the way we have some crucial commanders for Female synergy, their own weapons act as the biggest trigger point. Let’s have a look at some of the top female synergy weapons.

Spirit Bear - Leila Mormont

Leila’s weapon improves her awakening skill and increases the probability of Active Army Skill being used again. This is the most important feature because it not just benefits Leila, but the entire lineup and other 4 commanders to perform better. 

Now, these stats and ‘Special Effects’ can be further improved by upgrading the weapon. There are 4 levels of upgrade:

1-star < 2-star < 3-star < 4-star

Maxing any commander’s weapon is the best-case scenario in terms of improving their skills and overall commander performance.

As we can see above, ‘Base Attribute’ for this weapon increases as follows:

1. Cavalry Attack improves from 27.5% to 55%

2. Total Health improves from 6.88% to 13.75%

3. Additionally, when we max any weapon and assign it to the same commander, then it also provides 5,000 army size.

Similarly, there are many other weapons which help improve the Female synergy performance. Let’s have a look at some of them and their skill, when it is max level.

Mighty Scythes - Salma

Garnet Crown - Cersei Lannister

Dragon Teeth - Daenerys Targaryen

Leaf Dance - Senelle

Rose Crown - Margaery Tyrell

Needle - Arya Stark

How does it look like in Battle Reports:

Let’s have a look at one of the battle reports to have a better understanding of how the lineup works:

So here we have a Pure “Female Synergy” on the left side. Since we have all 5 female commanders, any time they’ll use their Active Army Skill, Leila’s awakening skill might get triggered. Also, a point to note here is that Rhea in this setup is not 4-star. Rhea is at 3-star and therefore doesn’t “Silence” herself. That’s why we can use her in this setup.

Now let’s see how the report looks like when Leila uses her Awakening skill or when other commanders use their Active Army Skills.

As we can see here, Salma used her Active Army Skill “Khaleesi’s Fury” and that triggered Leila and that in turn enabled Salma to use her AAS again. Also, in column 5, we can see that Annie used her AAS and that in turn got repeated twice. 

In this manner, whenever our female commanders use their AAS, Leila’s skill is triggered and it leads to some additional hits and damage.

Conclusion:

1. Female lineup is the most flexible lineup as there are most commander options to choose from. We can even use male commanders as they have no direct negative impact on the synergy.

2. Female setup is extremely vulnerable against Petyr Baelish’s Awakening skill “Malicious Speculation” as our commanders can hit our own troops while using Active Army Skills.

3. Using Senelle in the lineup helps a lot as she is the only female commander who helps ‘Purify’ the debuffs - Silence, Bleed, Disarm!

4. If we are attacking someone in the castle, then Salma’s awakening skill will make all the other female commanders use their skill on the wall, so no enemy troops will be killed.

5. We can play any formation or troop combination with the Female setup as there are many options, be it Inf, Cav, Spears or Bows.

6. Female commanders like Margaery, Cersei and Daenerys help to counter the Bleed lineup by casting “Disarm” effect on the enemy commanders, making them miss their Normal attacks.

7. We can combine Female setup with the Weakness setup as well and use both Leila and Jaime in the setup. But we cannot mix the Female lineup with the Bleed lineup.

Recently, another Female commander, Brienne was added to the game who is potentially an improved version of Leila Mormont. Brienne, just like Leila also enables Female Synergy however, both their skills cannot be activated simultaneously. Brienne's skills improve probability for repeating active skills for all the Females, compared to Leila and also, additionally provides 20% chance to trigger a 'Critical hit' with damage coefficient of 200%.

Apart from Brienne, another new commander named Cassana has been added.

Addition of these commanders has changed the concept and definition of premium lineup and due to that factor, below is the updated commanders' ranking for reference:

NEW WEAPONS

Cassana → Starry Bracelet

Just like any other weapon, Cassana's weapon also helps improve and empower her awakening skill and as the weapon is upgraded level by level, the boost she gets keeps getting better.

Many players are waiting for Brienne's weapon to be released soon as that would further improve her awakening skill, making her a lot more effective!

MARCHING ANIMATION

A new marching animation called "Oath of Unity" has also been added in-game which also improves commanders' Active Army Skill Damage which directly strengthens the synergy as it completely relies on the 'Active Army Skill Damage'.
