📘 Prologue - When Two Banners Cross
A single standard can never fully reveal the strength of those who carry it. Beneath the banners of the two alliances RRH and 6NK lie vast armies, fully capable of both defending their positions and launching offensives.

While RRH will bring together cavalry experts, 6NK will assemble members whose strength lies in infantry. These two types of troops possess different combat characteristics, and their respective performance in battle can vary significantly.
In Kingdom 179, these two alliances will clash as part of an expedition one where a single victory will not be enough to secure the desired outcome.

Cavalry a specialty of x Kate x serves as the foundation of an army, relying on mounted combatants whose dynamism and striking power are their defining characteristics. Cavalrymen occupy a unique position among other types of troops, notably due to their ability to engage adversaries at closer range.

However, this specialty also has its limitations, depending on the forces involved taking on a different character compared to armies that rely on infantry or spearmen. By being integrated into a combined-arms force that includes various types of combatants, the inclusion of mounted units defines the identity of this army.

The 6NK alliance is spearheaded by TheTreeMan, with a focus on infantry.
Infantry, first and foremost, involves fighting on foot a mode of combat with distinct characteristics compared to that of cavalry. In such engagements, soldiers may mount their horses for defensive purposes before dismounting to join the fray; consequently, the quality of defensive gear and close-combat weaponry is of critical importance in defining what constitutes infantry.

Troops are deployed either for defense or for an offensive. In Kingdom 179, TheTreeMan specializes in 6NK. His army therefore represents an identity distinct from that of a player focused on mounted combat even in battles where their respective forces might encounter one another.
⚔️ First Attack - The Price of the Initial Charge
A roar shook the combat zones as RRH’s mounted troop advanced toward TheTreeMan’s forward positions. The galloping of horses met the clatter of armor from 6NK’s foot soldiers, who braced themselves for the impact leaving every rider to entrust the life of their mount to the very front of the lines standing before them.
In this reenactment, the initial encounter unfolded with the force of relentless, crashing blows.
The riders under x Kate x finally collided with the wall of defenders in a series of sudden, violent impacts, where the speed of the mounts was pitted against the resilience of the opposing infantry. Weapons groaned and clashed, and many combatants found themselves locked in close-quarters fighting.
TheTreeMan’s army remained fully viable and capable of sustaining a major engagement; his foot soldiers held firm against the initiative of the mounted troops.
Amidst the chaos, some of the riders struck home. The 6NK combatants were able to exploit the close proximity to land blows on the opposing units a capacity for inflicting damage that ensured the opening phases of the clash were far from painless for RRH.
But the battle did not end there.

x Kate x’s cavalry pressed on with their engagement, while TheTreeMan’s infantry were forced to rotate in and out through repeated bouts of contact. It was at this juncture that the disparity between the two armies in terms of the attrition they had sustained became apparent.
6NK’s forces were losing a significant portion of their combat effectiveness. While the blows they had received had certainly diminished their capacity to act, the resilience of the cavalry allowed them to hold their ground; yet, this offensive was no mere show of force each subsequent clash brought further erosion to the very means by which the battle could be waged.
Nevertheless, the defender was not immediately knocked out of the fight. The infantry continued the engagement, and in that space where the remaining foot soldiers still held their own against the opposing horses trading blow for blow their resistance lent an intensity to the battle that the final outcome alone could not fully capture.
Even so, the momentum increasingly favored x Kate x. His cavalry whatever losses they may have suffered retained a capacity to sustain the offensive that far exceeded that of the opposing infantry.
When the final skirmishes ceased, one question remained unanswered: what had become of TheTreeMan’s lord?
Victory for RRH was secured, but the capture of the enemy lord was by no means a foregone conclusion.
The report provided further clarification on this specific point.

x Kate x emerged victorious, with 23M in losses against 375M for TheTreeMan.
The significant loss of power indicated a particularly grueling clash at 6NK. While x Kate x’s cavalry had triumphed, it had faced stiff resistance from the opponent’s infantry.
According to reports, however, TheTreeMan’s Lord was not captured.
This detail altered the subsequent course of the campaign. Although the defender’s army had suffered, their Lord had not fallen into the hands of RRH.
A second offensive would therefore be necessary to try and achieve that outcome.

⚔️ Second Attack - The Lord Behind the Final Blades
Although the first battle had significantly weakened TheTreeMan’s troops, his Lord remained at liberty.
While x Kate x had won the major engagement, she had yet to capture the opposing Lord.
The RRH player therefore launched a second attack.
By this point, the circumstances had shifted considerably. The core of the 6NK army its infantry no longer possessed the same combat effectiveness against the cavalry. The losses sustained had stripped them of the capacity to resist, whereas x Kate x was able to press a fresh assault, having managed to retain some of the energy conserved during the grueling initial encounter.
In this renewed engagement, the cavalry found themselves bearing down on TheTreeMan’s positions. A few infantrymen still stood in their path, but they no longer held the line with the same fierce determination seen in the first clash.
The initial contact was swift.

Indeed, the mounted forces of RRH clashed with the remaining troops of 6NK. The exchange was brief, with the infantry attempting to strike back, but the resources still at TheTreeMan’s disposal were insufficient to hold out for long.
x Kate x’s cavalry gained the upper hand without sustaining any further losses.
Then came the development that had been sorely missing from the first victory:
TheTreeMan’s Lord was captured during this second assault.
This capture added a new dimension to an engagement that had otherwise been far less contested than the previous one. While the first offensive had allowed x Kate x to establish her authority over the opposing army, this second strike delivered the specific outcome that had previously eluded her.

Victory for x Kate x: 0M losses against 74M for TheTreeMan.
The final forces committed by 6NK were defeated without causing any further losses to RRH.
The capture of the Lord thus brought x Kate x’s expedition into Kingdom 179 to a close.

📜 Conclusion - Two Victories, Two Meanings
In Kingdom 179, x Kate x emerged victorious in both of her duels against TheTreeMan encounters that proved pivotal to her campaign.
The first engagement was the primary challenge: 6NK’s infantry clashed with RRH’s cavalry, facing an opponent still capable of dealing significant damage. Despite this resistance, x Kate x secured a decisive win, though she was unable to capture the opposing Lord.
The second attack, therefore, had a specific objective. Less fiercely contested, it allowed the RRH player to achieve what had eluded her in the first engagement: the capture of TheTreeMan’s Lord.
This sequence highlights the distinction between merely overpowering an opponent’s forces and successfully accomplishing a key strategic goal. While the first victory left the defender severely weakened, it was not enough to complete the operation.
In Kingdom 179, a head-on clash is not necessarily what determines the fate of a Lord.
