Victory at any cost - Arena of Honor - Season 6 Round 6

With Summer leaving Westeros and Autumn taking its place, the trees that started to have their leaves turn yellow and fall, for the warriors across Westeros it's time for another round of Arena of Honor's Season 5. Things are no different for [N0X]Shado as he's heading towards the 6th round with mixed feelings as the first round went great for him and the team with a win but after that the next 4 were 3 2nd places and even a 3rd. Now the question that remains to be answered, will them be able to start winning and be able to get to the Glory King rank in the 10 rounds remaining of this season or they'll fail once again? Technically there are chances but for that he'd have to win all the rounds left so he's doing his best to get as many upgrades as possible between the rounds. But the time for preparations is now done as it's already Sunday evening and time for him to get to the Arena of Honor Battlefield. As soon as he got there, he met with the rest of the team and noticed a few changes in the roster: Wind5 and Samantha had an urgent trip to Essos to make so they got replaced by VERGO and xNami. Once everyone was present, the registration papers got signed and the warriors waited patiently for the Old Gods to do their matchmaking.

As soon as the matchmaking was done, the battlefield gates opened and warriors stepped inside and waited for the houses to pick them. Seeing that she got a win with the team in the prior round and having the 1st draft, Daenerys Targaryen decided to go with the same team and once every house did choose the teams to fight in their name everyone headed towards the Clan Castles with Shado's team heading towards the south-west forests of the battlefield where the House Targaryen's Clan Castle is located.

Once they arrived, everyone setup their camps and as mostly always Shado decided to to a quick inspection on the battlefield to see whom they are fighting this round.

Bad news was announcing on the horizon, as both House Lannister and House Stark were having very strong teams with warriors like ESCHL and LordBartimores leading them, but Shado's team was on pair with them, so the round was announcing to be a very disputed one. The round started quickly after with the opening of the first 7 strongholds and everyone rushed to occupy them as quickly as possible as it was looking like every point will count.

With the strongholds now fully occupied, it was time for the constructors to step in and the lead engineer, [N0X]HotepRa, decided to go once again with military camps in hopes to occupy multiple clan castles and of course, the City of Glory. But till the City of Glory opening, there was the fight for altars that was about to take place. While being at a little disadvantage on the battlefield due to him being infantry and most of the strong enemies being cavalry, Shado was determined to help his team as much as possible and beside reinforcing where it was needed, he also relied on quick swift solos to eliminate enemies from the altars.

The battle for altars was going very well for the team, they managed to secure quite a lot of them, and it could be seen in the points advantage as the team was pushing ahead on ranks, but the most important building, the one that could change everything in this round, the City of Glory was about to open for attacks.

Unlike other rounds where the team was usually letting other houses solo fight between them while they were making rallies, this time they decided to send their strongest warrior, VERGO to secure the city with a swift solo and so he did and then everyone in the team reinforced and braced for the impact.

As soon as they noticed they can't kick VERGO with solos the other houses instantly started their rallies and within minutes they were already marching towards the vale where the city is located ready to challenge the House Targaryen's ownership.

The fights between rallies were epic, millions of troops losing their lives on the battlefield, turning the snow color from white to red and despite being under extreme pressure, Vergo was managing to somehow keep the troops going and helped by the reinforcements coming almost instantly from the other team members he managed to withhold the wave of rallies and secure the City of Glory for the House Targaryen.

But of course, the fight didn't end here for the team as after the 4 minutes of protection, the bubble dropped and the other houses restarted the rallies, being thirsty for blood. For the rest of the battle the team was constantly under severe pressure at the City of Glory, but they didn't break, they kept sending troops into the fight and ultimately keeping the city secured them the win they all needed and wanted.

The round ended with the Shado and the team emerging victorious on a round that was way more disputed than the score shows. While they couldn't be happier of how they played and seeing their efforts rewarded, they know this is only the 1st step towards getting back on track towards the Glory King rank. Will they be able to do'it or not? We'll have to wait and see. See you all on the battlefield!
