Lesson Learned in Arena of Honor

After the lost from the last Arena of Honor, Lord ThaEL thought he might get better result on the next one. That day he got the urge to participate in the event again. Then, he contacted his acquaintance from 1FD, eyaka1, and asked

“Do you wanna do AoH today with me, mate?”

Of course eyaka1 wanted to do it and ask his current group if they have space for Lord ThaEL. He introduced Lord ThaEL with his alliance members long ago and they got along better each opportunity.

eyaka1 asked Lord ThaEL

“bud, do you have any bows in your castle right now?” Of course he’s talking about T5

Lord ThaEL replied “Not even a problem man, I can train it in a sec, how many do we need?”

Eyaka replied again “We need one full march of reinforcement for Achadeen in City of Glory, mate”

Lord ThaEL said “Ayey, I will make them ready in a blink of an eye, sure”

Later on, eyaka1 sent the team invitation to Lord ThaEL.

Then the story began,

These are our full team members, there were Achadeen and Jsmokinkilla too. We have rating around 2k-4k with Achadeen as the highest rating, the result for our party rating was 3711. Achadeen has a really strong bow lineups, his synergy is heavy female bow consist of NK, Missandei, Dany, Cassana, and Cossomo. We also have JsmokinKilla with his heavy female cav synergy which consist of Cassana, Cersei, Dany, Senelle and Brienne. At the very beginning, we were confident with our rally leaders.

Once we got in the arena, we scanned the other team and decided to play semi-offensive, they were not so confident to get the Glory City with their best lineups eventhough all our members are online and ready to send reinforcements.

We faced two strong sides, consist of a bunch of UTB and mix of big alliances with BDR as their trump card. They have a few strong members with strong spears obviously, which is a danger for them.

Because we decided to go semi-offensive, we focused to get all Altar of Warrior and Altar of Maiden to get the suitable buff, whereas the enemies decided to go trading so they focused to get Altar of Maiden. We were aware the enemies knew they could easily win this match.

It was going real when our rally leaders sent their battle report against one of BDR monsters, TheVIKING trying to take over the City of Glory from them. The result was really one-sided genocide.

Eventhough we’re losing in City of Glory, we tried to analyze the situation. We found the reason why we lost, it’s because we didn’t have enough T5 bow as the fillers for full rally march. We relieved that’s the only reason why we lost. After looking at Achadeen lineups and weapons, there’s no way he lost against TheVIKING.

We somehow accepted our lost in City of Glory and started focusing to other buildings.

Eyaka1 talked “aight mate, seems it’s unreal to take over City of Glory, we need to catch the other buildings and closer the gap”

Lord ThaEL replied “totally agree, need to make move as soon as possible in my opinion”

The last 20 minutes, we were focusing to Dragonpits first. Achadeen, JsmokinKilla, eyaka1, and the others were attacking all the dragonpits. We got win and lose result for trying so many times. We sent fillers to reinforce and make our stand strong enough.

In the next 8 minutes, mine shaft appeared at 12 minutes left before the end of the match. All the players including us were trying to get as many mine shafts as we could. It was completely chaos when it happened. As far as I can recall, we managed to held at least 2 mine shafts at the moment. But of course, it was not enough to earn enough point to climb higher..

At the end, we only have 5 minutes left and now we’re attacking Altar of Maidens. At this point, we accept the reality and just killing for fun.

At the end, we knew our decision was good enough to play semi-offensive, but somehow it’s hard to catch the gap of the amount of proper reinforcements. We accepted the result and learn something from it. Although we have solid teamwork, even with voice channel discord on, we still need to think about proper and suffice reinforcement for this level of match. Because Army Size and T5s are crucial in this calibre of match.

The Result

We ended up as 3rd place, but we will get the first one again later!

The battle was far from over, and Lord ThaEL and the gang were not ready to stop neither the other knights of Westeros!
