💠Introduction

What’s up, folks? With Patch 3.0.0 introducing the new Earth Immortal Jadwiga, and Elemental Bond currently being the only way to obtain her, let’s take a closer look at the event, how the card system works, and the average number of Soulglass Crests needed to obtain her Immortal Shards. We’ll also calculate approximately how many Soulglass Crests are needed to summon and fully develop an Immortal through the event and look at the most efficient strategy for using them.

💠Overview

Players begin by selecting an Immortal to connect with through the Trionfi card system. Each board contains 12 cards representing six matching pairs, with rewards including Immortal Shards and Dragon Crystals. Players flip cards using Soulglass Crests and must reveal two cards with identical contents consecutively to successfully form a connection and claim the rewards displayed on those cards. If two cards do not match, they are turned face down again. However, previously revealed cards can be flipped again without consuming another Soulglass Crest, making memory and card selection extremely important.

The number of available connections resets each day at 0:00 UTC. Players can abandon their current attempt and reset all cards at any time, while completing and collecting every available reward automatically resets the board. Players can also switch to a different Immortal from the event home page, but doing so resets any connection progress already made. Because previously revealed cards can be selected again for free, Elemental Bond is not purely a luck-based event. Efficient play can significantly reduce the number of Soulglass Crests needed compared with randomly flipping cards.

💠Probability in Theory

With 12 cards representing six matching pairs, three pairs contain a total of 12 Immortal Shards while the other three contain Dragon Crystals. Since previously revealed cards can be flipped again without consuming another Soulglass Crest, the best strategy is to reveal only unknown cards, remember their locations, avoid intentionally completing Dragon Crystal pairs, and complete Immortal Shard pairs as their matches are discovered. On average, players should need to reveal about 11.14 cards to collect all 12 Immortal Shards from a board. Summoning and fully maxing an Immortal and unlocking its Artifact slot requires 1,020 Immortal Shards, which equals 85 complete boards. At an average of 11.14 Soulglass Crests per board, a player starting from zero should expect to use approximately 947 Soulglass Crests to obtain all 1,020 Immortal Shards.

💠Cost

The GTArcade packs offer the best Soulglass Crest value at the lower price points. The $1, $2, and $3 packs each provide 6 Soulglass Crests per dollar, compared with 4 Crests per dollar from the in-game packs, making the three cheapest GTArcade packs 50% more efficient. The $5 GTArcade pack provides 5.4 Crests per dollar and is the next-best option, while the $10 and $20 packs drop to 3.6 and 2.4 Crests per dollar, respectively. Players looking for the best value should therefore prioritize the $1, $2, and $3 GTArcade packs first, followed by the $5 GTArcade pack, then the in-game packs, while avoiding the $10 and especially $20 GTArcade packs unless additional Soulglass Crests are urgently needed.

💠Value

Each pack can be purchased up to five times per day, so buying the $1, $2, and $3 GTArcade packs five times each provides 180 Soulglass Crests for $30 per day. Adding five purchases of the $5 pack provides another 135 Soulglass Crests for $25, bringing the daily total from the four most efficient packs to 315 Soulglass Crests for $55. Over three days, that provides 945 Soulglass Crests, which is almost exactly the estimated 947 needed to obtain the 1,020 Immortal Shards required to fully develop an Immortal and unlock its Artifact slot. Based on average card luck, the full progression would therefore cost roughly $165 to $166 using the most efficient packs, assuming the daily purchase limits reset over the necessary period. Players who do not need all 1,020 Immortal Shards should instead stop at the progression milestone they actually need rather than continuing to complete unnecessary boards.

💠Summary

Elemental Bond rewards players who use the memory mechanic efficiently and avoid wasting Soulglass Crests on unnecessary matches. Fully obtaining 1,020 Immortal Shards requires roughly 947 Soulglass Crests on average, which can be reached for about $165 to $166 using the most efficient GTArcade packs. Players who only need a specific shard milestone can stop earlier and avoid unnecessary spending.
