Somehow the Night King returned… After Hotep had killed him 7 months ago, he was back and ready to invade and take over the seven kingdoms once more. In kingdom 438, Hotep was basically alone to face this danger to the realm. His friend FatCom would help him a little here and there, but most of it would lay on Hotep's back.

Last time he had killed the Night King, he had reduced the time needed by almost 70% to 45 minutes and 58 seconds. Hotep was very proud about that last time, but he had grown in the last and so wanted to lower the numbers even further.

There was one issue though. The stats on the Night King. Usually, the Night King was based on the player with the highest score of the kingdom. 7 months ago that had been one of the abandoned accounts in the kingdom, but now it was Hotep itself. That could mean quite a tough challenge.

The stats of the Night King had increased to about 1.5 times what they were last time. That was definitely a threat to Hotep. At least if he wanted to break the record from the round before. The CR was definitely not Hotep's, though, so he was a bit confused about who the Night King was based on.

The stats confused Hotep in the days leading up to the Night King leaving his safe area beyond the wall. On the day the Night King appeared, the stats were reduced, so Hotep was a bit more optimistic about breaking the record again. In the hours leading up to the battle, Hotep built 3 million t1s in addition to those he already had for an additional buffer. He was not sure what to expect and wanted to be prepared.

When the Night King finally showed up to fight for himself, Hotep quickly ported next to him and started his first solo. By being on the top of the Night King, he hadf the fastest march time, allowing him to do more solos in a faster time.

With his first solo, Hotep killed 12 million troops and noticed two things. First, the Night King he was facing had no T5, making the killing quite a bit easier, and secondly, the Night King had a wall of Wight Walkers equivalent to Simon, Gorell, Sansa, Kravras, and Egbert. And with a 4-star Gorell, something Hotep did not have, it was definitely not a mirror of Hotep.

The damage he had done with the first hit had been great. Last time his damage hovered at around 7 million per hit at the start. He was definitely in the right direction.

Hotep then started to do solo after solo without a break, always trying to send out the new march as soon as the old one arrived home. One key advantage Hotep had over others was that his female synergy dealt damage to all 4 times at the same time thanks to Cersei and Cassana, multiplying his damage at times, leading to crazy reports.

Things went smoothly. At least until something that scared Hotep like crazy.

A dragon came flying up on him, and for a second he thought he got blockaded until he saw it was only a bite. The animation at the start looked pretty similar. He was sitting in voice at the time with the people from the main N0X kingdom, and in his first reaction he said, “I think… I am getting invaded”.

The issue was that Hotep was not a zero castle. Last time he had tried hiding all his troops, but that turned out to be an issue when he got hit by generals and ported out, so this time he only hid his t5. By now he had so many troops he could not zero castle anyway.

Hotep tried to get his main march back as soon as possible, waiting for the inevitable solo, but nothing happened… After a few seconds, Hotep canceled his hiding rally and jumped away to find time and check who had bitten him.

The name of the player biting him he did not recognize, and when he found no one in merit rankings either. He started to assume it was just a troll, and still with a bit over half of the NK to go, Hotep went back to the Night King.

He hit the Night King for another 10 minutes and was well within full t3 territory now when once again his grind got halted by a notification.

He got attacked. After the first scare, this did not scare Hotep as much, but he still ported away while his lord was out before checking the attack to tank the enemy one way or another.

It was a troll indeed. That had been the name that had bitten Hotep as well, proving it was a troll. While, of course, a bit upset, Hotep respected the effort of the troll, although a stronger account might have made it a bit more believable.

Knowing he was safe now, Hotep finished the Night King.

It had taken him 24 minutes and 4 seconds, and he had risked all his troops, but he had made it. After about 90 solos, the Night King was dead.

Later he found out that the Night King had been made easier by not basing the Night King on the strongest one in score but someone else instead, but Hotep could still say he had outperformed his previous run since last time he had gotten rank 39 and this time rank 32 globally. And had he not been busy with the troll, a top 30 spot would have been possible as well.

It had been a blast for Hotep, and the imminent danger had only made it more exciting. The NK invasion was one of his favorite happenings for sure, and this time proved that once more. He could not wait for the next time the event rolled around, especially if he could then use whatever he upgraded his account with at that time. That would make it even more fun…
