As the summer is approaching its end in Westeros and Autumn is preparing to take its place, Siege of Winterfell season 18 is heading towards its middle with the upcoming round 3. After winning on 1st round against [NoS] and losing very badly against [NBe] in round 2, winning in round 3 it's mandatory for [N0X] if they want to keep any chance at making top 12 and going to Siege of Winterfell Ultimate Conquest for the first time.

Despite losing on the 2nd round the morale of [N0X] warriors wasn't that much dented as a loss was expected against a stronger alliance and that loss didn't necessarily means they are out from UC race, they still had chances as long as they won the last 4 rounds. After checking the ranking and see their potential opponents, [N0X] leadership took a place to the table to start strategizing, see what went wrong on the last round and how it can be improved to increase the winning chances on the 3rd round. Once everything was discussed and agreed upon, it was time for Scythe to register the alliance for the 3rd round and hope the matchmaking will end up being better than before. Everyone on [N0X] were sitting on their toes waiting for the matchmaking to be completed and exactly at midnight between tuesday and wednesday the matchmaking concluded, and a mail was sent to all alliances announcing their opponents.

After Scythe red the mail to the alliance, everyone was rather happy to see they will face an opponent of their strength for once and not risk getting completely ran over by very strong alliances. But make no mistake [PLQ] was still an opponent of [N0X] caliber, both in alliance power and event attendance, so if [N0X] wanted to win this, especially at a large points difference they had to bring their A game to the battlefield. Once the opponent was known, the strategies were modified a bit specially on what to do and how to annihilate [PLQ]'s strongest banners. That took most of the day and since it was already Wednesday evening, everyone in [N0X] gathered their troops, dragons and commanders and started marching towards the Siege of Winterfell battlefield. They arrived right on time as the battlefield doors opened, and warriors started stepping inside and prepare their marches for the fight.

With just a few seconds left till the fight start, the scoreboard was showing 90 warriors for [N0X] vs 84 warriors for [PLQ] and for the first time in this season, [N0X] had a slight numbers advantage. Even with this advantage, [N0X] decided to remain focused as the Siege of Winterfell battles are very volatile and can change in any second if you lose focus. The horn announcing the start of the battle was heard quickly after and the warriors mounted their horses together with their armies and marched towards their assigned building.

Shado and LadyKnight, the terrific duo, were both assigned to the Hot Springs team and they quickly rushed towards there along with almost half of the [N0X] warriors trying to beat [PLQ] to it and get the first occupation points and the healing bonus provided by the building. They managed to do that, and the Hot Springs fall into [N0X] hands, but [PLQ] forces were close, and they quickly approached and started entering the hot springs. Tens of millions of troops started colliding into each other, the earth was trembling under their charges and there were soldiers falling on both sides under valyrian steel weapons slashes, so many that the floor was quickly covered in bodies and the hot springs started turning red from the blood dripping into it.

Both [N0X] and [PLQ] were fighting bravely, as soon as one of the warriors was losing all their troops, they were quickly healing them and quickly get back to the fight, but it was looking that at least on the Hot Springs side [N0X] was having the numbers advantage and slowly but surely they were pushing [PLQ] out from there. However, on the armory side [N0X] was outnumbered so a call was made to divert some of the troops at the Hot Springs towards there to help stabilize the armory and not give [PLQ] the buff, a buff that might push them ahead. With the new forces joining them, the armory side managed stop [PLQ]'s advance and even more they also started pushing them back. Slowly, [N0X] started to get control over the match, and it was looking like nothing that [PLQ] was doing is going to stop [N0X] from their march towards the much-needed win.

Assuming that was wrong from [N0X] as while [PLQ] couldn't secure the bases, they decided to go for the Winterfell supplies full force and see if they can overturn the fight like that. The initial attack took [N0X] by surprise and the [PLQ] had the upper hand for a bit, but the [N0X] special forces were called to join the battle for the supplies. After one of the bloodiest fights in the history that lasted almost 10 minutes, [N0X] managed to secure the first bag and seeing their plan failing, [PLQ] decided to withdraw and just do incursions for the rest of the fight, mostly to get elimination points.

Both alliances gave their heart and soul on the battlefield but [N0X] was simply more determined to win, and they had the numbers and a bit rawer strength that was decisive for this round. They happily left the battlefield with the rewards and the ranking points and they now are 2-1 so they keep chances to the top12, but they have to maintain the pace going forward. Will the next match be an equal one for them or they'll run into very strong alliances once again? We'll have to wait and see. See you all on the battlefield!
