Legacy of the Arena - Season 6 Round 2

As Westeros is approaching the end of August, for the warriors of Westeros there's another round of Arena of Honor Season 5 coming. After starting the new season with a win, [N0X]LadyKnight used the 2 weeks between the rounds to try and get a few new weapons for her commanders and a new dragon skill. The 2 weeks flew by quickly and on Sunday, she was ready to go back to the Arena of Honor battlefield. Once she arrived there, she noticed that the Fantastic 10 team was now Fantastic 9 as 1 of the members left and they weren't replaced in time. With all the 9 members ready, the team got registered by xKikix and everyone waited for the matchmaking to be done by the Old Gods.

The Old Gods decided to assign [TQL]HankHill to the team as the 10th member and once the battlefield doors opened, the teams started entering and see for which house they'd fight this round. The Fantastic 10 team was personally chosen by Daenerys Targaryen to fight in the name of her house and together they marched towards the southern scorched dessert towards the south-west forests where the House Targaryen's Clan Castle is located.

Upon their arrival, everyone started deploying their camps and prepare their troops and LadyKnight also sent a few quick scouts to the other houses to see what they are up to.

As expected, they were facing very strong teams with players like Misha, CRUISER, csnmf and CHIdori fighting for House Lannister and House Stark. The battle started quickly after with the opening of the first 7 strongholds and everyone rushed to occupy them and get the points generation started.

Once the occupation was completed, the building phase started and xKikix, as the team commander, decided to go once again with military camps in an attempt to occupy at least one Clan Castle if not 2. But then they noticed that the AI teams swapped their strategy and occupying the clan castles on first attacks is not possible anymore but despite that they decided to keep the military camps and overcome the opponents later on. With the strongholds constructed it was time for the team to focus on altars as they started opening and the team will need a lot of them if they want to get any clan castles.

Fortunately for the team, while the numbers were against them, they had the raw power thru ImperialRock, King Goran, light Yagami and Menat and they managed to secure enough altars on the battlefield to keep their NPCs superior to the ones of the other houses. Beside reinforcing her team-members all over the battlefield LadyKnight tried a few solos on her own despite being in a very stacked battlefield.

While most of the attacks ended so badly for her that almost made her regret trying, she had a few successes on the battlefield that surely helped the team get some more altars. Being ahead in points gave the team a boost on their morale as they were preparing now to lay siege on the City of Glory.

Right after the opening, the strongest warriors from the teams tried to flex their solo capabilities and went charging at each other, kicking each other's out until ImperialRock managed to stabilize the defenses with a few well-timed reinforcements from the other team members. Once the other teams noticed they're solos have become useless they immediately started the rallies, 2 for each House led by the strongest warriors in their roster. It didn't take more than a few seconds for the rallies to fill and in a matter of minutes, they were at the City of Glory gates ready to challenge ImperialRock's ownership. The battle that took place between the rallies and the city's defenses would remain in the history of Westeros as one of the bloodiest battles that ever took place, troops falling on each side by millions just to be replaced by the reinforcements sent from the clan castle. The rallies were failing to conquer the city but that didn't stop the other teams from keep sending them and a back-and-forth battle that kept everyone on their toes continued for most of the remaining time of the round.

Finally, after a very long fight, ImperialRock managed to emerge victorious on the battle for City of Glory, mostly due to his superior stats and the reinforcements that kept coming from the team-members. With just a few minutes left of fighting, the team managing to fully occupy the City of Glory concluded the round for all the houses involved in the fight.

The score doesn't make justice to this round, as all 3 houses fought valiantly till the end but the Fantastic 10's focus and determination helped them win. They are now 2 victories in the first 2 rounds and even more this one net them 48 fame points for occupying the City of Glory and 2 of the enemy clan castles. If they'll manage to keep the pace going at this rate they might end up in top 10 at the end of this season. Will they be able to do 'it? Remains to be seen. See you all on the battlefield!
