As Westeros is entering the last month of Summer, the 6th season of Arena of Honor is heading towards the 2nd round. The first round went great for Shado and his team; they managed to win but if they want to finally achieve their goal of reaching the Glory King rank, they have to keep winning as any 2nd or 3rd place would be a major setback on their goal. This time there was only 1 week between the rounds so very little time for preparation, but even like that Shado used every second of it to try and improve his stats and commanders in order to be able to help the team as much as possible. Time flew by quickly and it was already Sunday evening, so Shado took his troops and commanders and head to the Arena of Honor Battlefield to meet with the team. Once he arrived there, he met with the team and signed the registration papers required for HotepRa to register the team and once he did that, everyone waited with a cold beverage for the Old Gods to finish their matchmaking.

As the matchmaking only takes a few minutes it didn't take long for it to be completed and once the battlefield doors opened everyone stepped inside to see which house they going to choose them this time. Shado's team was chosen by Sansa Stark once again, to fight for House Stark and together with her they all went to the frozen North where the House Stark's Clan Castle is located.

Once they arrived there, everyone set camp around the castle and started doing the last minutes preparations. Shado used a few of those minutes to send spies to the other houses to see who they invited to fight for them.

The spies returned with bad news for Shado and the team, both Targaryen's and Lannister's invited very strong teams to fight on their name, with a [NBe] team for House Lannister led by Mirela and Aroga and an [RRH] team for House Targaryen led by MadMaz. Seeing how strong all the teams are surely put some extra pressure on Shado and his team, but they decided to do their best anyway and hopefully get out of the storm with a decent result. The time for strategies was over as the battle started, and strongholds dropped their bubble, so everyone rushed to occupy them as quickly as possible and start the points generation.

After the occupation time was completed, the team decided to once again go with military camps and try too actively fight for the City of Glory and while the Lannister's decided to do the same, the Targaryen's went with trading posts and as it will be seen later on, gave the Lannister's access to 2 additional Clan Castles instead of only one. The AI NPCs also got an upgrade between rounds, now they counter mirror the house that directly attacks them and that made getting their Clan Castles harder than it was before. With the strongholds constructed, it was time for the altars to open and the Starks had one mission, get at least 9 altars of the warrior or at least get more than the House Lannister. Beside the usual reinforcement of the strongest members, Shado also tried to go in a solo adventure, one that was about to end very badly for him.

After a few direct clashes with Mirela and Aroga, Shado figured out that yolo solo is not the way on this fight and decided to call for reinforcements next time when he occupied an altar and things went better for him and the team. While the team were managing to occupy altars, the Lannister's were doing a better job and soon their NPCs started dominating the battlefield. Unfortunately, it took Shado a lot of time to brainstorm an idea that would recover the watch towers and especially the catapults from Lannister's and that did bring a heavy toll on the team. Without being able to secure the watch towers and catapults, the team was generating a very low number of points and the only thing keeping them alive was the initial points they've got from first occupying them, so the City of Glory was their last chance to win the round.

As soon as the City of Glory opened, Wind5 quickly organized a rally to take the building from the NPCs and once the rally was sent, it was only a formality to kick the NPCs out from the city premises, but then the hard part started, keeping the city for the 4 minutes required to occupy 'it. Aroga, Mirela and MadMaz didn't take long to notice the Starks attempt, and they quickly started the rallies and within minutes they were already at the city gates ready to challenge the Starks ownership.

Wind5 defended very well against the first waves of rallies, helped by the relentless reinforcements from the team and time was ticking in their favor, it was looking like they are going to win once again but then, with just 50 seconds left till the 4 minutes needed, mostly due to the damage that the team constantly took from the catapults, the city defenses fell.

The loss happened at the worst moment possible as Shado's idea was starting to work and the team were recovering the catapults now. With time to still change the tides of the fight, the Starks went into the offensive with Wind5 and Cubishnia to try and kick Mirela from there, but despite having the catapults now, and winning a few rallies, the Lannister's stepped up their reinforcements game and with the Targaryen's stopping the rallies there was no way for the Starks to recover the City of Glory no matter how hard they tried.

Unfortunately, this round ended worse than the team wanted and expected, if only they would've had the catapults maybe the outcome would have been other. But that's Arena of Honor, it has its ups and downs, and all the team can do is get up, dust off, learn from the mistakes and try to do better next round. See you all on the battlefield!
