Hunger was used to it by now. TheHunter really just had bad timing. Every time Hunter was writing him for a target, he was busy one way or another.
This time would be no different. Hunger had just installed a new game and was literally in the opening cutscene when he heard the ping. And when he saw it was a message from Hunter, he knew what would come. He was not someone saying no to a nice hunt, and so he asked for more details. His new game could wait for another 30 minutes or so.
Hunter had found 2 targets. One inf and one bow one and suggested them to double rally. Hunter on the inf one and Hunger on the bow one. It had been a long time since Hunger had double rallied, and so he agreed and joined his friend in ExF to get ready to jump.
Only when Hunger checked out the cord did he notice an issue.

Both targets were in war gear and had correct walls and good defenses. This would certainly hurt a lot, especially the bow one. He could only hope that gear and walls were the only correct things and badges, refinement, and weapons were a mess. A part of Hunger wanted to cancel instantly, but he was not someone stepping away from a chance of a double rally, and so he kept going, opening a rally on the bowmen castle while joining TheHunter's rally on the inf target.

There were only 3 of them. Hunter, Hunger, and one more filler, meaning their rallies were not fully filled. Not ideal either for targets like these.
Hunter’s rally was the first to launch, slowly walking towards Purr Purr. Based on the scouts, Hunger was a little worried, but they had no synergy, so he was optimistic. Still, when the march came closer and closer, saying he was confident would have been a lie.

Hunter’s first rally was not cheap, but still decent. Purr was missing Sinara for a full synergy, and so Hunter could deal much more damage. Note that Purr already had full hospitals, so Hunger guessed they had never healed after the no-death KvK the weekend prior. Quite helpful for them.
Next up was Hunger's rally, and while Hunter's decent result had given him some hope, he was still very worried. Purr was in full war setup. If Swift were too, he would be in trouble.
A dragon bite on Swift by Hunger proved that they were also with a full hospital, so at least that was in their favor.

Hunger was in trouble indeed… Although it was a win, it was quite close, and in terms of troop types lost, the ExF was way worse, including a good amount of t5. Swift was indeed in full war setup with almost as many bow attack as Hunger had spear. With more than 4 times the troops, the fact they did not die was almost impressive.

In return, they only killed Swifts t3 with more t2 and t1 behind to come in to replace the dead troops.

Hunter and Hunger kept discussing after, but both agreed that another rally on SWIFT would be pointless, and instead, they started asking their friends for help to finish the target while they kept rallying the inf target. Hunger did not like giving up a target, but it would have taken them more troops to zero the target than they would have killed. Also, he had to try to keep at least some troops for the upcoming events, especially the new version of Ruin Rivals starting the next day. He had his doubts N0X leadership would like to see him show up with 0 troops.
They were still looking for a new rally lead for Swift when Hunter’s second rally launched.

The second rally had a much better result, killing most of the t4 inf in the castle. Hunter could have soloed at this point probably, but since Purr was in war gear, it would have been very expensive, and so they went for a third rally.
While waiting on the last rally, Hunger checked how many scrolls were needed for Hotep, but since he was in the last phase of LOL on his kingdom, that was not an option. Instead, Hunter was able to call a rally lead from RoD he had worked with in AoH who would show up in a bit.

First, Hunter’s last rally hit, finishing off the target, which also concluded the hunt for Hunger. The RoD lead had not said if they would rally or solo, but after Hunger had seen the name, he knew they could solo.

Hunger would never see the full report, but he knew Fabco had a max spear line, and with such a strong account, a F2P bow tank like Swift just did not work.
It had been a great hunt for Hunger with one key learning, which was that sometimes it was necessary to give up a target, even when it hurt. He did not regret trying, though. He had tested his limits, learned something, and the challenge had made it fun as well.
After he bubbled, he said goodbye to Hunter and returned to N0X for the event the next day. With the hunt done, he could finally return to the new game he had just started 45 minutes ago when Hunter messaged him…
