One of the worst mistakes you can make as a merit hunter is allowing your ego to take control of your actions and invasions. When you achieve great numbers, attack large alliances, and become a known warrior, you start believing that you are unbeatable. And that is the worst mistake you can make.
Many people started to say that I only attacked unprotected targets and even claimed that I was cowardly enough not to attack big alliances. Of course, that was not true, but it began to disturb me deeply. Since then, I have been closely watching the kingdoms of all super alliances, day after day, searching for an unprotected target, a target that could bring more respect to my name.
I was hungry, and I wanted more; I was ready for bigger battles. I spent hours searching for something, scrolling through different kingdoms, looking for the next window of opportunity. I asked a few friends if they knew anyone without a bubble, but nothing seemed to be good enough. But when I reached my last bookmark, something finally caught my eye.

I usually say that you should not look for enemies when your alliance is not careful with its protection bubble. Because the first thing someone will do if they want to seek revenge is look at the main kingdom and search for unprotected castles.
That target belongs to a large alliance, with many active players. I thought it would be much more difficult to find a target in that kingdom, but it was actually easy, and the very first time I looked, he was there, waiting for me. The problem was that this was not a small alliance that you could simply attack without any kind of caution. Exposing my location for more than five seconds means I would be attacked before I could even hide my troops. Besides playing with fire by attacking an alliance with more than 200 billion power and many strong warriors, there was another problem…

Candy was in the kingdom. He had invaded PLQ and was attacking every castle that lost its bubble. I did not know if that was some personal issue or if he was there just for fun, but I knew that I could not let my guard down for even a second in that kingdom.
RoD’s records showed that Candy was online, and PLQ’s records also showed that my target was online. That smelled very bad. I knew that if I thought too much about it, I would end up giving up. So I jumped to Kingdom 504.
As always, I checked everything before launching any attack. Speed boots, buffs, gear, and formation. I was ready to launch the first attack, then my hand started shaking, and my heart started beating faster. I was very nervous, afraid of triggering PLQ’s fury or being hunted down by Candy. I thought for a good time, then I clicked on ‘’attack’’ and my bubble dropped.

I knew I could not waste any time. I wanted to launch the second attack as quickly as possible. But I had to pause for a moment to analyze and understand who my target was and how the outcome of that battle had been.
Radekbor did not have synergy on the wall; even so, his commanders showed strong resistance, and his army eliminated almost two hundred thousand of my troops. I also forgot the dragon skill ‘’reroute’’. The experience of his commanders and the more than sixteen million men on the wall were not enough to withstand the impact, and more than three million soldiers were eliminated within minutes.
That attack was good, could be better, but I can’t complain. I knew that I was in very dangerous territory. Most of the players who were online were stronger than me, and it would take only one garrison sent to destroy my invasion and eliminate all of my soldiers. I paused for a moment. I did not notice any movement around the castle, so I launched the second attack.

This time, Radekbor no longer had his wall to defend his fortress, so my cavalry had a clear path to advance into the castle, bringing destruction and chaos, and also dropping my losses. More than five million troops were completely erased from the map in that second impact.
Even after losing more than two hundred million power and giving me more than eleven million merit points, Radekbor did not activate the protection bubble, so I had a clear path to launch the third attack.

On the third attack, I could feel I was in danger. I was changing my location constantly, trying not to leave a trail, trying to keep attacking without giving them time to catch me. The tension and suspense were high, but one more time, I succeeded in my attack.
I could feel that the atmosphere in that kingdom was changing. Some strong players were recalling their troops from resource gathering. I felt like I was about to relive an old nightmare once again. But the objective was not yet complete. Radekbor still had troops inside his castle, and I needed to finish it.

When I received the notification that I had captured my target’s lord on that fourth attack, I felt relieved. When I realized that my troops were returning and that I had not been trapped by a garrison, I could finally breathe normally again, but the adrenaline and nervousness were still at their peak.
My invasion had come to an end. I hid my troops and changed my location. I felt like a young boy provoking lions in the middle of the forest. And all I can say is that luck was on my side (at least this time). Thank you for reading!
