United Once More - Arena of Honor Season 5 Round 9

With the summer quickly approaching Westeros, the Arena of Honor's Season 5 is getting closer and closer to its end, now heading towards the 9th round of the season. After being forced to play in the solo queue in the round 8 and managing to get a 2nd place LadyKnight will be returning to the Fantastic 10 team for the 9th round with hopes that she'll be able to start winning the rounds once again. With that in mind, she prepared as thoroughly as possible between the rounds, equipping her most trusted commanders with new weapons and her dragons with new skills and training more end tier troops to join her ranks. The preparation took her most of the days and before she noticed it was already Sunday and time for her to head to the Arena of Honor battlefield. Once she arrived there, she signed the pre-registration papers required for UnholyFloki to register the team and once the team was registered everyone stepped aside and waited for the Old Gods to finish their matchmaking.

Once the matchmaking was completed, the battlefield gates opened, and everyone stepped inside to see for which house they'll fight and against whom. Every house representative knew already how good the Fantastic 10 team was, and they all wanted the team to fight for their house, but this time Sansa Stark won and together with the team they all head to the House Stark's Clan Castle in the frozen north part of the battlefield and once they arrived there everyone started deploying their camps around the clan castle and do last minutes preparations. LadyKnight decided to use a few of those minutes to do a quick inspection around the battlefield to see what the other houses are up to.

Team Presentation

As expected, with the team getting stronger and stronger in terms of team power, the opponents they face also get stronger with every round, and this round was no different with House Targaryen having a very strong [GuR] team led by Dra999 and CRUISER

and House Lannister having a very strong [MDB] team led by toms1209 and Archon.

The round was announcing like a very tough round for the team once again, but the Fantastic 10 team was determined to continue the winning streak. Time for strategies was done once the horn announcing the start of battle was heard all over the battlefield and the strongholds started dropping their bubbles.

Once the 2 minutes of occupation time was done it was time for the construction to start, and the team decided to not change their strategy and go with military camps once again. UnholyFloki gave the order and the constructors starting quickly build infantry camps this time.

The construction was done just in time as altars started opening and everyone in the team needed all their troops to fight on such a high stakes battlefield. Despite the altars being stacked with very strong warriors, LadyKnight decided to attempt some solo attacks too on top of reinforcing her team-mates everywhere on the battlefield.

First few solo attacks didn't end well for LadyKnight, despite trying to counter her opponents, their strength managed to overcome her counter, and she ended up with her troops decimated. While not being able to win the solo attacks, the reinforcements and joining the rallies made by her stronger team-members ended much better for the team.

Even though the team managed to control most of the important altars on the battlefield, the other 2 houses went trading posts, so they were generating a lot more points per minute with less buildings controlled so the Fantastic 10 team was in troubles points wise, at least for now.

But things were about to change one way or another, as the round was approaching its middle and the City of Glory, the most important building on the battlefield, was about to open for attacks.

As mostly always, ImperialRock took up to the challenge and quickly kicked the neutral NPCs from the city with a solo attack and then everyone in the team reinforced and braced for impact. And the impact didn't let them wait, as all the other houses started rallies to try and stop House Stark from winning. Dra999, Cruiser, Archon, toms1209 were among the strongest warriors on the battlefield, so their rallies were going to hurt, but the rallies from the other warriors weren't going to be neglected by the team for sure.

Despite having more than 10 million troops under his command, the vale where the City of Glory was located was quite narrow and only like 6 million troops were able to fight at once for defenders while the attackers had room to hit with their rallies in quick sequence. Once the rallies started hitting you could hear the valyrian steel weapons clashing from far away, soldiers were giving their life on both sides and the snow around the city was quickly turning red. The rallies were relentless for most of the remaining fight, and it was only team's dedication and the reinforces that got there just before the rallies were hitting that managed to save City of Glory and with just a few minutes left from the fight it went into House Stark's possession and that basically concluded the 9th round of Arena of Honor.

The round 9 ended once again with a win for the Fantastic 10 team and despite what score shows it was a very hard fight for the team, that required all their attention and focus to win. LadyKnight managed to resume the winnings, and her fame points are now very close of her personal best. Will she be able to surpass 'it in the upcoming rounds and maybe even finish in top 100 glory rank at the end of the season? We'll have to wait and see. See you all on the battlefield!
