Defiance in the Dark - Alliance Conquest Season 23 Round 2 - [N0X] vs [RRH]

As April it's getting closer and closer to its end, the Alliance Conquest Season 23 it's heading towards the 2nd round. First round went great for [N0X] that managed to win against the [GJs] by quite a large margin. While the victory made everyone happy, they knew that being so high in the rankings means the opponent they're going to get will be very strong, maybe even undefeatable. That didn't bring their morale down as they were determined to try and win or at least put up the best fight they can, so strategies were made and put in place to ensure that. As it was already Friday late in the night, it was time for Scythe, the queen of [N0X], to register the alliance and hope for the best.

Nobody was surprised once the matchmaking was done and the opponent announced, as based on the rankings, [RRH] was the closest to [N0X] in ranking points and the most obvious opponent. In the Season 21 [N0X] actually managed to defeat [RRH], but they had a few stronger members back then compared with today but despite that they were determined to give everything on the battlefield and see if they can emerge victorious once again. With high morale, everyone in [N0X] took their most trusted commanders, their best troops and dragons and headed towards the Alliance Conquest battlefield. They arrived there after the sunset, just in time, cause right away the battlefield doors opened and they started stepping inside and deploy their camps in the forests, North-East of the Casterly Rock.

A few seconds before the start of the fight, [N0X] found themselves at a number disadvantage too beside alliance power and alliance score disadvantage. There was no time for complains though as the battle started quickly after with the opening of the 2 outposts, tower of the warrior and temple of mother. As always [N0X] had racers assigned for every building and the transport of all terrain flip flops arrived just before the fight so they were fully equipped for the battle.

The initial races didn't go as good as [N0X] expected, [RRH] managed to secure 3 of the buildings while [N0X] only got one. Both alliances tried to swap their stronger warriors into the buildings and [N0X] managed to intercept [RRH] swap into Temple of Mother but on the other hands they lost outpost to [RRH]. With a few minutes left before the opening of ports, there was time for a wave of rallies, so [N0X] choose Tower of Warrior as target while [RRH] choose the only building [N0X] had at that moment.

[N0X] rallies were prepared faster and they sped up rallies, taking [RRH] completely by surprise so they managed to secure the tower. It was now time for them to defend the temple of mother against a huge wave of [RRH] rallies. Unfortunately, despite trying their best, the reinforcements couldn't withstand the rallies that [RRH] threw at them, so the buildings went back 3-1 for [RRH]. Holding the Tower of Warrior won't be an easy task for [N0X] as it drew all the [RRH] attention.

With the help of reinforcements, Shado did a great job taking the solos from RRH and seeing they can't break the defenses with solos they organized rallies to take the tower.

Unfortunately, Shado wasn't strong enough to take the rallies too and despite [N0X] doing a great job with reinforcements, the tower fell into [RRH] hands too. The ports were about to open and with no buildings on their name, it was time for [N0X] to try and actually start scoring some points.

[N0X] racers did their best once again and managed to secure one of the ports with Falin while [RRH] took the other one with Peugeot. Like things weren't going bad enough for [N0X], due to some technical difficulties, [RRH] managed to intercept their swap on the Targaryen Port, so they were having all the buildings, just for a sec though. [N0X] managed to do a quick wave of rallies on the Targaryen Outpost, and they took 'it swiftly and now they were organizing rallies on Lannister Port just before Casterly Rock opened.

Lady Eo dropped to 8 reinforcements out of 25 but [N0X] ran out of hitting rallies just before they could kick her completely out and [RRH] managed to reinforce in time. With Casterly Rock opening, [N0X] head their whole attention towards it as it was one of their last chances to score some good points into the match and maybe drag the result to the mines. They lost the initial race as once again Peugeot was the fastest, but Balrum kept an eye on their swap attempt just in case.

The waiting paid off, he managed to snipe the swap and [N0X] finally managed to start scoring some points. Besides having Casterly Rock they also took Tower of Warrior back and one of the outposts, so the points generation was almost equal to RRH for once.

That didn't last long as soon as Casterly Rock opened [RRH] quickly made a whooping 29 rallies to try and retake the castle from [N0X].

[N0X] did all the efforts to try and reinforce in time but facing so many timed rallies makes the reinforcement game impossible and [N0X] lost another building, unfortunately for them to the strongest [RRH] member. With no way to retake the Casterly Rock they focused on the other buildings and they fought [RRH] as good as they possibly could. It was now down to mines for [N0X] to get close in points to [RRH] and not lose at a very big difference.

Once again [N0X] racers were on point and they managed to secure both mines with GrogU and LordOfHunger but now the hard part was coming, swapping both mines at the same time in less than 20 seconds. The thing that they were afraid of happened and both their swaps got intercepted by [RRH] and that basically crumbled the whole match. [N0X] tried a few waves of rallies to recover the mines but with no success so they decided to focus on taking the player's personal points from the [RRH] members.

They managed to secure those points with just a few minutes left from the round and with nothing else they could achieve, that concluded the 2nd round for [N0X].

[N0X] did everything in their power to defeat [RRH] but a few technical difficulties here and there combined with [RRH]'s superior power made this match result be way worse than it could've been. Will [N0X] be able to recover after this defeat and get back on their way to Ultimate Conquest? We'll have to wait and see. See you all on the battlefield!
