The One Who Stood Alone - Arena of Honor Season 5 Round 8

Westeros is quickly heading towards Easter; the springs is fully set in and it's time for the preparations to begin.But before that the warriors in Westeros have to sharpen their blades train their troops in preparation for the upcoming round of Arena of Honor. Being now past its mid-season the rankings are starting to settle in and the teams on top are slowly but surely detaching from others. After having 7 great rounds with the team, this time mostly due to Easter Celebrations, LadyKnight won't be able to play with the team and knowing she can't afford to skip a round, she decided to go back to the mercenary camp and try a round of solo queue, despite being aware that at such high fame points, the solo queue matches are very punishing and she'll most likely face very strong enemies. Once she arrived there, she signed the registration papers and then waited together with her commanders for the matchmaking to be done by the Old Gods.

Once the matchmaking got completed, the house leaders got out from the battlefield to choose the warriors that will fight in their name on this round. LadyKnight was choosen by Daenerys Targaryen for this round and together with her Daenerys also choose [KTW]WillNewTaipi, [DNa]Ladymum, [IiI]Cerberus35, [EmP]Suniel, [KTW]ROC YEH, [KTW]DarkTrial, [TMD]Marvel Cosmo and [HD!]The Plague.

Quite a strong team i've got here was LadyKnight thinking, maybe there's chances for us to win this round. Once the Starks and Lannister's choose their teams, everyone stepped inside of the battlefield and head towards their Clan Castles with LadyKnight and her team heading towards the South-West forests of the battlefield and once they arrived there, everyone started setting their camps and giving last minute instructions to their troops and commanders. LadyKnight also decided to do a quick inspection on the battlefield and see what exactly they are up against.

While the Lannister's team was looking to be equally strong, when she noticed that Starks invited a very strong [NBe] team sent chills to her spine, but there was nothing she could do now, as the battle horn announcing the start of the battle was heard and the strongholds dropped their bubble and opened for attacks.

After they've been fully occupied, it was time for the team to start constructing them, and they decided to go with a military approach and try to occupy at least one more clan castle and why not maybe even the City of Glory. At least for now their plan worked as on the first NPC attack after the military camps got constructed the NPCs managed to occupy the House Tyrell's Clan Castle.

With 2 Clan Castle under their control, they now focused on constructing the other set of strongholds while keeping an eye open on the altars, as 10 minutes into the fight, the first set was about to open.

As expected, the Starks team was all over the altars, expecting to face no opposition and be able to fully control the whole map, but the Targaryen's decided to give them a run for their money and try to occupy at least the altars from their side of the battlefield and from the side of their newly conquered clan castle. On such a stacked battlefield, there wasn't much that LadyKnight could do with solo attacks, so she decided to focus on reinforcing the stronger warriors in her team but still scout every altar for targets of opportunity.

The targets didn't take long to pop on the scouting reports and LadyKnight quickly took advantage of the situation and started soloing them out rapidly. The team was working great together and despite not being as strong as the starks they were grabbing altars left and right and for now at least they've managed to stabilize the situation. But as the times passed the toll of facing a team formed from very strong players started showing its toll as they split and attacked the altars at the same time, and the Targaryen's were quickly falling into a no escape situation.

With so many altars under pressure, there was no time for sending even scouts anymore, so LadyKnight and the others started doing blind attacks, some of them ending well, some not so well.

Some even ended in disaster some would say, but despite that, the team managed to save at least some altars and now fall so behind in points right before the City of Glory was about to open.

While they say it's not good to put all your eggs in one basket, the Targaryen's last chance to win was holding the City of Glory so they decided to go for it right at the start and then see if they can deal with the Starks mainly. As soon as it opened, the House Lannister warriors tried to take the lead on it with a quick solo from The Plague and then everyone reinforced him with their finest infantry but even like that his infantry weren't a match for Quinryss's better trained spears and after a bit over a minute of occupation the city swapped hands. With Starks's holding the city a temporary alliance never seen in Westeros was formed between Targaryen's and Lannister's and each sent their strongest warriors to retake the city. Unfortunately, despite doing a lot of rallies and sacrificing a lot of troops, nobody managed to kick Quinryss of from the City of Glory and the Starks managed to secure their win.

Despite not being able to win, LadyKnight and her team managed to get a well-deserved 2nd place and secure 20 fame points and a lot of rewards that way. LadyKnight is returning to [N0X] castle with hopes that she'll be able to rejoin the Fantastic 10 team and resume the winnings. Will they accept her back or not? Remain to be seen.
