A Young Lord of the Ancient Kingdoms Part 113 (CCS Hall of the Celestials Season 72)

Now in the warm and tranquil lands, a gentle breeze calmed the entire landscape. Our Lord was at peace, then heard battle celebrations. The people were excited, packing their belongings to go and enjoy the great battles.
"The city sieges are about to begin!" shouted one or two villagers.
Our Lord heard this in surprise and had no idea what was happening, so he quickly checked his calendar. To his surprise, he saw that there was indeed a major event: CCS "Siege of the Champion City."
Our Lord quickly assembled his troops and set off for the battlefield, as his battle this time was in the "Hall of the Celestials." Feeling a bit tired, he tried to organize his troops and consider the best options for the fight.

With only a few hours until the start of the battle, our Lord would have plenty of time to choose. He would wait patiently, considering which alliance to join. The most important thing for him was which alliance would attack, to avoid losses.
Upon surveying the battlefield, he would see the major alliances already positioned for the fight, their key members gradually entering the fray.
Among them was the recently formed Crusader alliance, hF9, a practically brand-new alliance created specifically for the fight in CCS. Our Lord would agree to join this alliance, which would include a powerful Lord responsible for raids.

He belonged to the great RoD alliance, and his strange name made him of a rare origin, but that didn't matter much; our Lord would only be attentive to the results he would produce.

And on the other hand there would be the great alliance that has practically already been created but is always seen, that join together for the great fight of CCS, called AfV, already known for appearing in said alliance and being frequented by many members of the great and famous WxD alliance, one of the best, for having good combat members.

Among them, both very strong, it was practically clear who would emerge victorious from this great battle. Our Lord didn't seem to care; in fact, it was perhaps for the best, because he knew his alliance wouldn't capture the castle and he would be in the position of attacker.
Perfect for his plans, since the attacker rarely suffers defeats against enemies defending the castle.

And finally, there was the great FDH alliance, one of the best and oldest in all of Westeros. While perhaps not boasting a large number of members, their presence was undeniable, and they were led by some extremely powerful Lords.
One of them was Steel96, who, according to our Lord's recollection, was a lancer, but very effective against cavalry and, in exceptional cases, could even defeat infantry. He was an exceptionally powerful Lord.

But our lord also doubted they would fight back, since their own nature would also make them attackers.
And so the great siege began, and just as our lord, who watched the siege from afar, predicted, the AfV alliance would quickly take the castle. Leading the defense would be GUA VAA, a very powerful lord who would lead a cavalry force.
The great leader of the alliance to which our lord belonged was preparing his forces to command. Our lord wouldn't risk a first attempt, so he would wait.
After the first attack, he noticed something strange. It seemed to have gone very well, and somewhat motivated after this test, he drew two conclusions.
The leader was strong in combat and could easily deliver results.
And the lord's formation, which dominated the castle, was quickly identified.
These two approved factors would see a high probability of a successful large-scale attack against this leader who held the castle, and since it was a large alliance of theirs, the attacks would be constant, because they would be reinforced quickly.

And with a decisive blow, in which our Lord would also participate—a swift, precise strike that would secure a great victory—our Lord would be greatly motivated, as the points gained from kills would increase significantly, not only for rewards but also for combat medals.
Furthermore, he would also avoid troop losses, which were the primary casualty of these types of battles. However, the attacker was now incredibly strong, so he would be constantly reinforcing his forces.

And so it continued for the second time in a row, with great results. Our Lord was very pleased, as he was losing almost no troops, and he would have one of his dragons configured with his old second line of spearmen.
And from there, seeing so many losses, they would see a rapid change in the troops, in terms of Lords, because the losses from AfV seemed to be quite severe, and changing the lineup would improve things because their allies stopped upgrading or supporting the castle.

This change would affect the rally leader's attack for the hF9 alliance, as he was using the lancer formation and would now be fighting a new enemy, this time defending with infantry.
Even so, the outcome between the two sides would be very similar. It was fortunate that the lancers weren't wiped out, thanks to the rally leader's excellent stats.
Therefore, he would end up changing his formation. Apparently, he no longer had a good connection with a cavalry formation, so now he would be advancing with infantry. Our Lord, after the last battle in this type of fighting, where he lost many infantry, didn't have many left.
But he had enough to reinforce the rally.
"Well, we'll try this line. I'll trust him... Ready the infantry!" Our Lord was already sending the infantry to reinforce the Lord's rally.

The result was overwhelming; the enemy was also easily defeated, as the Lord of hF9 was very strong and led a large number of troops into battle.
The sheer number of Category 5 troops against Category 4 troops made a significant difference in the fight.
Therefore, AfV had no choice but to change troops, since the alliance's rally leader, our Lord, was a danger to the enemy, so another Lord would enter the battle.
Our Lord didn't notice the change in time, so he calmly sent his troops into battle, trusting in his leader.

So this time the result would be devastating, even though the troops weren't numerous and were sent in hastily. Strawberry appeared to be cavalry, at least according to our Lord's assumption.
But this blow would be too powerful, resulting in heavy losses among the infantry…
"Well, that's it, I've got what I wanted… withdraw the troops!" Our Lord gave the order to retreat.
He was already pleased with what he had achieved, despite the heavy losses in the final standings, but he would manage to gain control of the castle.

As a Result;
Despite the recent infantry losses, our Lord would gain not only rewards but also a large number of combat pieces, perfect for purchases in the shops and emblem upgrades.
The hF9 alliance didn't gain control, but their losses were minimal. Although it seemed the Lord did want to control the castle, this wasn't the case. AfV would capture it, albeit with significant soldier losses.
As a Recommendation;
If you're early in the battle, it's always best to study your competitors and prefer those with few rally leaders who put up a fight, perhaps avoiding those who capture, to achieve victories. Remember, you gain more by attacking than defending.
And ambition can also be a serious problem. You can lose many troops by being overconfident, as our Lord did. Although this time the losses didn't bother him too much, if he hadn't gained anything, it would have been a serious loss.
That's all for today!
Until next time!
