At last, Hotep’s favorite event, Alliance Conquest, was back. Saying Hotep was hyped would be an understatement.
In the last update before the event started, there were some changes made to AC, and so Hotep volunteered to play an earlier match so they would have the knowledge advantage for their match later in the day.
And so Hotep approached his long friends in BwF and secured a spot for his F2P alt so he could learn about the new mechanics while helping friends.
There was one issue, though: the match was at 3 am his time, meaning sleep would be lacking that day, but that was ok for Hotep. He did everything for his favorite event.
And so there he was at 3 am, but not tired just yet, joining the battlefield after doing some early scouting for his main match later in the day.

Their enemy would be SIN, an enemy quite similar to BwF in strength; although BwF would have the numbers advantage, SIN had the stronger account, MysticGolden, their main lead, could solo anything BwF was having.
The main change from the update was the racing change, and with that in mind, Hotep had to try that, going for the far outpost when the bubbles dropped since that one was free for everyone to go for.

Their first races had been a success, including Hotep's. BwF was not doing swaps, so Hotep had to hold, which was not ideal, but better him than the enemy. Since he was racing with commanders, it was at least ok. Against a stronger opponent, those additional clicks could be deadly, though.
Since Hotep was not a lead, he talked with the team ahead of time to strategically withdraw as soon as their top lead soloed him, and although it took a minute, eventually he would get the opportunity.

And this play would turn out great, getting another BwF account in, this time a rally lead, as soon as Mystic disbanded.

Their early successes had stretched them thin, and so they lost one port race and lost to a rally wave on Mother. Now the real fight would begin.
They exchanged ports before putting focus on Mother again, but it was their second strongest account, so they lacked rallies, so they had to change priority, winning the CR race before working on getting the Outpost back.

SIN seemed to have the same idea, so they ended up trading Outposts.
Hotep was a bit sad he had no bigger account to play with on this map. A lot was done with solos since neither side had the accounts to defend against solos while getting countered. Even Hunger, let alone his main, would have done wonders here.
But as long as BwF kept the upper hand, Hotep was still happy. He had tested racing and found a few other things he wanted to share with his alliance later, so all he got to do now is to secure the win for BwF and then head to bed.
BwF had most buildings by now except Mother and one port, so they shifted focus. They did not need to do rallies or spam solos anymore; instead, they focused mostly on defense, trying to hold what they had since that would be enough for sure.
CR was getting attacked by Mistic over and over again, but the BwF team could always find more bodies to throw in his way, so it was never too dangerous. With their full focus being defense, they could hold most of their buildings, and eventually they even got the mother with some solos. Like that they survived until the mines. They only needed one to secure the victory.

Sadly their team would lose other aces and some buildings before the mines opened too. They had been up the entire match, but now they were at risk again.
SIN was slow at reinforcing, though, and when the 30 seconds were over, BwF used their stratagem to kick 5 marches, allowing Larwain, their strongest account, to take the building with one solo. This play was big, denying SIN any chance of a comeback, breaking their moral. The other mine would crumble soon too due to the number of solos BwF put on it. Them having lost some buildings, freeing the leads had only helped them there.
After the loss of both mines, SIN gave up and called the match. BwF would share some points with them to give them the 60k to conclude a great match.

Hotep had really enjoyed the match. It was great that AC was finally back, and starting off with a win was even better. Also, he had learned of the match of his main alliance, which was great. Lastly, he had won a race, a great morale boost for him personally for the upcoming seasons. He struggled in previous seasons, so he took everything he could get.
Now Hotep could finally head to bed, and with the match in mind, he would not be surprised if he dreamed about the upcoming match later in the day…
