ARENA OF HONOR | SEASON 5 ROUND 7 | HOUSE STARK.

Welcome Lords and Ladies to the seventh round of Arena of Honor in our fifth season, the rumours were true, the Lone Wolf is making his return. Tonight, Moshow2 makes his push for the Glory King rank, hes been stuck at King rank for some time and with the season at its mid point, now would be the time to show his steel. Can Moshow2 begin a win streak to finally push his way into the Glory King rank or will the Lone Wolf have his dreams crushed by the Arena of Honor?

Moshow2 needed a win streak to gain enough fame points for his goals, “building offensive strongholds will give us access to other clan castles and defend our own,” Moshow2 was pushing for offensive strongholds which was a noticeable difference to his signature Trading Post strategy. “The Glory City should be a goal but if the opponents are too strong, we can fall back to gaining points from the Watch Towers,” Moshow2 had multiple win conditions, he had learnt that focusing on one win condition could be detrimental. 

MrBlack liked Moshow2’s plan but he knew there could be some problems, “for this plan to work, we need Altars of the Warrior so our strongholds can defeat our opponents much easier,” mrBlack wanted to focus more on the Glory City but he knew if his team didn’t have the ability to contest the structure then Moshow2’s plan would be the answer.

As for the Arena of Honor, it starts with six teams who fight for objectives on the map, each objective provides a first capture amount and then points over time, the team with the most points at the end of the match wins.

Finally, the teams entered the arena and House Stark seemed confident, “we seem to be the strongest House but House Targaryen could be our main threat,” mrBlack was excited to tell the rest of House Stark that they were the favorites but he knew arrogance was the downfall of many teams. As the strongholds opened it was House Targaryen and House Stark with House Lannister that built infantry strongholds in their first row. “House Baratheon and House Tyrell with House Greyjoy are building mostly Trading Posts with some offensive strongholds, they will most likely be easy targets for us, we should make sure House Lannister and House Targaryen don’t have a chance to take their altars so easily,” Moshow2 wanted to hold House Lannister and House Targaryen in their home zone so they would be more manageable to defeat. 

House Lannister was led by the cunning Madmaster, “House Stark and House Targaryen also built infantry strongholds, this will come down to map control and whether we can take more Altars of the Warrior from our opponents,” Madmaster could see the three-way battle in the future but needed to come up with a way to counter his enemies without using most of his resources. 

Finally, we have House Targaryen led by the brilliant Z A R A, “this is looking to be one of the closest matches, anyone can win this one, we need to be put ourselves in that position, House Stark is our main threat, we should focus their altars,” Z A R A knew the winners of this match would be the one holding the Glory City and they had a shot of doing so with so little cavalry threats on the battlefield.

As fifteen minutes passed by, it was House Stark that took the lead with House Targaryen in a close second place, “they took their Watch Tower faster than us but the difference is so little we shouldn’t worry about it, our main focus should be altars to make our strongholds stronger than the others, “ Z A R A was pleased with their start but the looming presence of House Stark remained. 

The fight for altars had begun and it was House Lannister who started targeting House Stark, “we are not far behind House Targaryen and House Stark, if we take some of their altars we can slow them down,” Madmaster could see he was fighting two teams that were stronger than them but with smart moves he could move his team into a position to take advantage of any weaknesses. “We are being attacked right now since we have the lead but it will slow down once the Dragonpits become available, we just need to defend for now,” Moshow2 could sense House Stark had a target on their backs but their lead was only 1k and things can change very quickly in the arena.

In the end the three Houses in the top three were able to defend their altars but only take those of the bottom three Houses, “House Stark defended well, the fight for the Dragonpits will decide whether or not our assault on the Glory City will be successful or not,” Z A R A could see that House Stark controlled more Altars of the Warrior and it would become difficult to defend their Watch Towers. 

All eyes turned towards the Dragonpits, “our main goal is to make sure House Targaryen don’t capture more Dragonpits than us,” mrBlack was determined to keep the lead but could he stop House Targaryen and their onslaught, only time would tell. House Targaryen were the first to occupy two Dragonpits but that was quickly countered by House Stark who took both from them, “we defended our altars and now we have to defend these two Dragonpits,” Moshow2 saw House Lannister occupied the third Dragonpit but didn’t want to overextend his team. “House Stark are winning the Watch Tower war and now occupy two Dragonpits, if we don’t change something this match will be over before it began,” Z A R A ordered her team to make life hell for House Stark while they occupied the Dragonpits but in her heart she knew House Stark were on another level. In the end she was right as House Stark captured two Dragonpits while House Lannister were able to sneak the other. The lead for House Stark ballooned to 5k as the Glory City was about to become the new point of contention.

The Glory City opened its doors and it was quickly taken by House Stark, “we control the buffs and now we have the Glory City, they will only get two rallies before we fully capture it,” John xx Wick knew the enemy didn’t possess a strong cavalry warrior thus making his defence that much easier. “We need as many dragons in this rally, this is the only rally we will get,” Madmaster knew this was the only chance he would get at taking the Glory City or at least resetting it since House Stark controlled so many altars and Dragonpits. As both rallies hit the Glory City, it was only inevitable that House Stark keep their cool and defended till they fully captured the Glory City and cemented their lead of over 20k. 

The fight for the Glory City was over but the Mineshafts gave new hope for anyone willing to fight for their final placements, “House Lannister are 5k behind us, if they capture more Mineshafts than us than 2^nd place can be taken at the final hurdle,” Z A R A feared that House Lannister could make a final push as first place was already out of her reach. It all came down to this could House Lannister push House Targaryen out of the Mineshafts or would Z A R A lead her team to a deserved 2^nd place finish?

The next 12 minutes would decide the fate of House Targaryen but House Stark remained a thorn in the side for both Houses, even though they had secured first place they still fought for every Mineshaft that was possible. “As long as House Lannister don’t get the Mineshaft it’s a win for us, we should leave House Stark in the Mineshafts if they can take the points than House Lannister can’t receive them,” Z A R A was thinking strategically, she knew House Stark could defend the Mineshafts so she only had to take any Mineshafts that House Lannister occupied. In the end Z A R A’s belief in House Stark held strong as House Lannister couldn’t acquire the number of points needed as House Targaryen’s lead over House Lannister grew instead of shrinking and thus cemented their second-place finish, as the rest of the match was filled with skirmishes over altars which had no bearing on the final outcome of the match.  

The final minutes ticked away and House Stark celebrated a dominating win, “we had this match from the beginning the offensive strongholds did their work and altar control was ours for most of the match,” Moshow2 was patting himself on the back for a job well done as the Lone Wolf creeps ever so closer to his goal of reaching the Glory King rank but he will need more performances like this one if he wants to achieve it. “This was the most dominating match I’ve ever been a part of, everything went perfectly for us, I hope I get you guys in my next match as well,” mrBlack was ecstatic with his win but knew he was unlikely to have a match go this well again.

On the other hand, House Targaryen were disappointed by how wide the margin was but content with 2^nd place, “House Stark were just the better team on the day, there is no shame to losing to a superior force but we did everything we could to stay in the fight but it wasn’t enough,” Z A R A didn’t know what else to say to her team as they looked defeated but there was always another chance in the next round to right their wrongs.
