The day was almost coming to an end. The sky was getting darker and darker, and our camp, in the middle of the forest, was becoming colder by the minute. While I was drinking a good beer in my tent, I heard my men talking and were scared about something. The reason is that after many calm days, we finally had a new target on our path, but it was a dangerous kingdom, and they knew that I would not retreat.

Before I could ask what was happening and why everyone was scared, a scout entered my tent and told me that two targets had been spotted without protection. At first, I was pleased. Finding unprotected targets is becoming an increasingly difficult challenge for all merit hunters. Lately, all alliances have been managing their shields much more carefully. On top of that, the number of hunters has been growing, making targets more and more scarce. But there was a problem…

The spy fell silent, and I could see the fear on his face. Then he said, “My lord, the unprotected castles are in Kingdom 304, and we know what happened there.”

I analyzed everything before making any decision. I had enough troops, my resource stocks were full, and I had enough scrolls to go and return. So launching an invasion was possible, but the memories of what had happened there began to surface in my mind.

That was exactly where everything happened, and after that, I was never the same. It took me weeks to recover from that defeat. Millions of resources were invested to rebuild each of my troops. I used practically everything I had in my inventory. On top of that, I spent more than one million blue diamonds to craft Valyrian steel weapons. That defeat cost me everything, and I could not put myself in that position again. I knew that suffering another defeat like that would likely mark the end of my journey as a hunter.

I checked the members of the FuK alliance and noticed that he was online. That meant it would be an extremely dangerous invasion. I spent nearly 25 minutes thinking about whether I should do it or not, and then I made my decision. I informed my commanders and my soldiers that we were going to do it. The look of fear was visible on everyone’s face, but no one refused to go.

As soon as we arrived in the kingdom, we realized that three FuK players were there, including GCFathom… so we had to be extra careful. Our travel was silent. At times, I looked back, and my men were quiet. I had no idea what they were thinking. But we were not there just to defeat a few targets; we were there to face our fears and to reclaim the glory and courage we had always had.

After a few minutes, the first attack was sent.

Even using only twenty percent additional army size, I was able to eliminate almost all of the defending troops in Cattalea’s castle, which was defended with a bow setup and fewer than nine million troops. He had no chance to react, and his wall collapsed in minutes. Even so, this attack cost me 141 thousand men.

On my side, I attacked with a pure female cavalry formation, built around Leila Mormont, Senelle, and Daenerys Targaryen. And even being strong, we had no advantage against the enemy troops. My soldiers recovered their confidence, and after the first successful attack, they were ready for the second one.

My soldiers advanced, knowing Cattalea’s castle was about to collapse. More than 1.3 million cavalry troops hit the wall, eliminating over 2 million men and capturing the lord. On my side of the battle, only a few T3 and T4 soldiers were wounded, while my T5 troops remained untouched. That was a major victory.

After destroying my first target, the second one used the bubble, so I could not attack him. Even so, I decided that I would stay a few more hours in the kingdom to don’t waste the scroll, maybe someone else would drop the bubble soon. And in less than four hours, I found two new unprotected targets. So I parked my castle a little bit far away and launched an attack.

The last third and fourth attacks ended that wave of assaults. In total, I earned 16 million merit by killing more than 14 million troops, while my losses were extremely low. This time, the targets were from the FBB alliance, the ruling alliance from Kingdom 304. I thought I would be attacked by them or by FuK, but luckily, nothing happened.

I believe both alliances did not understand why I was there. Perhaps they thought it was just another invasion to defeat a target and gain merit, but it was not. I was there to face my fears and challenge CGFathom. I had been without my protection bubble for more than an hour, waiting for him or another FuK player to attack me, but nothing happened. I had an infantry friend ready to come and zero him in case, but he decided not to attack me this time.

I didn’t get my revenge this time… but I will!
