An hour at the Fortress of Frost

The Champion City Siege began on a chilly and calm day. Lady Vhaera was on a hill above the battlefield and the Frost Fortress. Snow covered everything, making the fortress look calm and almost peaceful. But everyone knew that the peace wouldn't last long.

CCS is an important event, when groups come together to fight over a fort. Taking the fortress shows strength and good coordination with your team. For RoD, this battle was a chance to show that they could face tough opponents once more. 

Below the hill, RoD members were getting ready. They looked at their gear, held up banners, and set up machines for attacking on the walls. B3nni and Stormz were in the middle of getting ready, knowing that the fight would be hard. 

 B3nni gave her Lady Vhaera a job. 

"If we lose," he said before the fight, "you to remember what happened. "

 Lady Vhaera didn't like being left out, but she knew it was important. If the fighting was not going well, someone needed to observe the whole battle. 

The enemy arrived quickly.

The banners of NBe came up to the snow, then many allied forces. The valley filled up with soldiers. It was obvious that RoD was greatly outnumbered.

At the head of the enemy was TheOnlyKing. Near him were mml and TrueeProdigy who were commanders that had been known for discipline and coordination. Even at a distance, Lady Vhaera saw them organized and confident.

The battle started.

RoD gathered the troops and started marching with the rallies towards the fortress. Our troops charged at the enemy, cavalry, spearmen and infantry all engaging in one big battle. For a moment, the attack slowed down and it seemed that RoD might take the gate.

Then a raven landed beside Lady Vhaera.

She rushed to open the letter and see what was written there.

My lady, we are fighting TheOnlyKing's first. They are stronger than we thought but we do not lose the hope. The first attack was pushed by B3nni himself. The men are still confident.

Lady Vhaera looked down at the battlefield. Flashes of armies and movement appeared to her but not the details. She wanted to join them but her job was to observe.

The battle got harder.

NBe's forces adapted fast. Their defence became organized and more powerful each time. Mml's forces battered at one side of the fortress from which routes of support were cut off. TrueeProdigy had another side cautiously held, not letting RoD get in.

Another raven arrived. Vhaera, The ground is covered in ice and blood but the men continue to fight. B3nni will not retreat.

We are outnumbered but we will not give up.

Lady Vhaera folded this letter and looked again at the fortress.

Even though RoD had less men, they continued to fight hard. B3nni and Stormz kept organizing counterattacks, whenever possible. RoD soldiers fought back again and again, making the enemy fight for every step.

They inflicted serious damage to NBe's forces.

But enemy numbers continued to increase.

Another raven arrived later.

Vhaera, TheOnlyKing is now in control of the center. The other 2 held their positions, but now its TheOnlyKing holding the Fortress all to himself.

B3nni is still fighting. Everyone here fights. But the fortress is slowly slipping away from us.

Lady Vhaera could see smoke from parts of the fortress.

Still, RoD hopes stayed up.

B3nni's peoepl moved as he rallied defenders again and again. Stormz did smaller attacks to delay the enemy. Even though they were outnumbered, they did not give up fighting.

Finally, RoD launched one last push to press the enemy.

For a brief period it looked as though they might succeed. One part of the enemy line fought on. The pressure shifted.

But TheOnlyKing soon kept the command over the Fortress as its holder.

Mml reinforced one side.

On the other side was secured by TrueeProdigy.

Soon, the fortress was taken.

When the fight was over, the banner in front of the fortress was TheOnlyKing's.

The last raven came later on.

Carefully Lady Vhaera opened it.

The fortress is now owned by TheOnlyKing. The final ranking is:

1st - TheOnlyKing

2nd - mml

3rd - TrueeProdigy

They were well supported and well coordinated. Their win was deserved.

But RoD fought to the end. B3nni remained in the front line and every

soldier made the enemy labor hard to achieve this victory.

Lady Vhaera threw the message down and gazed upon the still battle field.

The fortress was lost.

But RoD did not give up without a fight.

They were up against a far superior enemy and fought tenaciously to the end.

While snow was falling all over the valley, Lady Vhaera was talking quietly towards the fortress.

"You fought well."

Sometimes victory is not all about winning.

Sometimes it is about demonstrating that even if the odds are against you, you still stand and fight.

And that is something people don't forget.
