Trial of the Immortals - Arena of Honor Season 5 Round 2

As Westeros is approaching the end of January, for the warriors of Westeros there's another round of Arena of Honor Season 5 coming. After having to go solo on the first round, [N0X]LadyKnight joined back on the Fantastic 10 team and in the 2 weeks between the rounds she managed to get a few new weapons for her commanders and adapted her strategy back for playing in a team. The 2 weeks flew by quickly and on Sunday morning before the sun raised, she was ready to go back to the Arena of Honor battlefield. Once she arrived there, she noticed that the Fantastic 10 team was now Fantastic 8 as 2 of the members left and they weren't replaced in time. With all the 8 members ready, the team got registered by Tominy and everyone waited for the matchmaking to be done by the old gods.

The Old Gods decided to assign [BBs]Anup0521 and [KUM]MASAO to the team and once the battlefield doors opened, the teams started entering and see for which house they'd fight this round. The Fantastic 10 team was personally chosen by Daenerys Targaryen to fight in the name of her house and together they marched towards the southern scorched dessert towards the south-west forests where the House Targaryen's Clan Castle is located. Upon their arrival, everyone started deploying their camps and prepare their troops and LadyKnight also sent a few quick scouts to the other houses to see what they are up to.

As expected, they were facing very strong teams with players like MUSAdra999 and CRUISER fighting for House Lannister and HOHOHAHE and Anavel Gato fighting for House Stark. The battle started quickly after with the opening of the first 7 strongholds and everyone rushed to occupy them and get the points generation started.

Once the occupation was completed, the building phase started and Tominy, as the team commander, decided to go once again with military camps in an attempt to occupy at least one Clan Castle if not 2. The strategy proved to once again be successful as with the first NPC attack the House Tyrell's Clan Castle fell into the Targaryen's hands and within 20 minutes of relentless siege, the House Greyjoy had no choice but to surrender their Clan Castle too.

With 2 Clan Castles secured it was looking like the battle is going to be an easy one, but it proved to be anything but easy as trying to control 24 additional strongholds and fighting for altars was almost too much for the team to handle. With a dozen of altars and strongholds under pressure it took a lot of dedication for the team to secure them all and every fight felt like a fight for the City of Glory.

Fortunately for the team, while the numbers were against them, they had the raw power thru ImperialRock, King Goran, light Yagami and Menat and they managed to secure enough altars on the battlefield to keep their NPCs superior to the ones of the other houses. Beside reinforcing her team-members all over the battlefield LadyKnight tried a few solos on her own despite being in a very stacked battlefield. After a few very unsuccessful attacks, she figured out that just before leaving the [N0X] castle she forgot her battle flip-flops there and without them there's impossible to win any solos, so she decided to abandon them and focus on supporting the team.

And support they will need as the most important building on the battlefield, the City of Glory was about to drop the protection bubble and open for attacks.

Right after the opening, the strongest warriors from the teams tried to flex their solo capabilities and went charging at each other, kicking each other's out until King Goran managed to stabilize the defenses with a few well-timed reinforcements from the other team members. Once the other teams noticed they're solos have become useless they immediately started the rallies, 2 for each House led by the strongest warriors in their roster. It didn't take more than a few seconds for the rallies to fill and in a matter of minutes, they were at the City of Glory gates ready to challenge King Goran's ownership. The battle that took place between the rallies and the city's defenses would remain in the history of Westeros as one of the bloodiest battles that ever took place, troops falling on each side by millions just to be replaced by the reinforcements sent from the clan castle. The rallies were failing to conquer the city but that didn't stop the other teams from keep sending them and a back-and-forth battle that kept everyone on their toes continued for most of the remaining time of the round.

Finally, after a very long fight, King Goran managed to emerge victorious on the battle for City of Glory, mostly with the help of the relentless reinforcements coming from his teammates. With just a few minutes left of fighting, that victory concluded the round for all the houses involved in the fight.

The score makes no justice to the round, as all 3 houses fought valiantly till the end but the Fantastic 10's focus and determination helped them win. They all took the rewards and the fame points and returned back to their alliance bases with hopes that they will continue winning in the next rounds too. But as rounds get harder and harder will they be able to fulfill their goal? We'll have to wait and see. See you all on the battlefield!
