As the 2026 is starting in Westeros, and everyone is leaving their celebrations and good food behind, it is time for [N0X]OliverQ's favorite event, Arena of Honor to head into its Season 5. With 1st Round happening just 1 week after the start of the year, he got busy with preparations once again. Will this be the season when he managed to finally unlock the highest tier of troops or he'll still be playing at disadvantage? Without being able to equip his troops with the valyrian weapons yet, he concentrated his preparations on commanders and dragons, mostly because he decided to go with cavalry from now on instead of the usual bowmen. With days still being very short, time flew quickly and it was already Sunday on the 11th of January, around noon, so he took his troops, most trusted commanders and dragons and as he still didn't manage to find a team to play with, he went once again to the mercenary camp. Once he arrived there, he rushed to the registration office as the registration time was almost over and quickly registered for the upcoming fight and then he waited for the matchmaking to be done by the Old Gods.

With the matchmaking now done the battlefield doors opened and the house representatives went out to pick the warriors that will fight in their name on this round. OliverQ was picked by House Stark this time and together with him Sansa also handpicked [VME]Stiky, [WPL]green sl, [FKc]Dragon Fire, [3OB]Solomon1, [Fec]Ghost35, [PLQ]Krzysiula15 and [PBr]Baldock.

Once the team was picked, everyone headed to the House Stark's Clan Castle far north in the frozen part of the battlefield. Once they arrived there, everyone started setting their camps and do last minute preparations and OliverQ as per usual, decided to scout the battlefield a little bit to see what him and his team were facing this round.

The news the scouts bring back weren't looking as bad as he expected, there were quite some strong warriors on the battlefield, but it wasn't looking like any of the houses invited premade teams, so the battle was looking equal, at least from the point of view. The time for strategies was done as the battle started quickly after with the opening of the first 7 strongholds.

Based on the number of fame points, OliverQ was chosen as the team's commander for this fight, and he decided to build military camps on the strongholds as it was looking to be the best strategy now in Arena of Honor. They managed to take the House Greyjoy's Clan Castle, but it was looking like the team's activity wasn't the greatest as the construction was going slowly and the presure was going to get even higher with the opening on the altars. As expected, with their Clan Castle under constant presure from the enemies, and the building of strongholds being slow once the altars opened, there weren't that many troops left to challenge the altars, but OliverQ and a few more warriors in the team did everything in their power to not fall behind.

The first attacks on altars were swift and dealt with the enemies quickly and it was looking like the team is managing to turn the battle in their favor with getting more and more altars and managing to get on the first place in points, for now at least.

OliverQ was hitting the altars relentlessly both to recover the ones that enemies were trying to get and try to occupy more of them. But as the battle was approaching its mid, the most important building and everyone's chance to win the round, the City of Glory was about to drop the bubble and open for attacks.

Being so close in points, all 3 houses wanted a part of the city, so everyone sent their best warriors to organize rallies as quickly as possible. The House Targaryen's rallies were the first ones to be filled so they managed to kick the neutral NPCs and take lead into holding the city. Starks and Lannister's didn't just let things like that though and they restarted their rallies. Once the rallies were full, they headed towards the City of Glory ready to hit House Targaryen with an incredible force. They arrived there together with the rallies sent by House Lannister and together they started hitting the troops defending the City of Glory in a quick succession, not giving any chance to the warriors of House Targaryen to reinforce in time.

The combined force of the rallies managed to kick House Targaryen from there and now it was time for House Stark to defend. With a few of the warriors being offline, they couldn't reinforce properly though and as soon as the rallies of the other 2 hours arrived, once they started hitting, the effect was devasting for House Stark, with barely any troops surviving the siege. The battle for the city went on for tens of minutes, with no definitive house winning, but with the catapults in House Targaryen's possession they were having a clear advantage on holding the city, and ultimately that advantage proved to be decisive when they managed to fully occupy the City of Glory just before the fight ended.

Not the end that OliverQ expected and fought to but with a smaller team it was all they could do on this round, He left the battlefield with hopes that he'll be able to find a team by next round or at least that the mercenary team he'd get next time it will be more active than this one and he'll manage to get a better placement. Will he be able to do that though? We'll have to wait and see. See you all on the battlefield!
