The Arena Remembers - Arena of Honor Season 5 Round 1

Westeros is past the new year mark, celebrations are over and it's time once again for the warriors to sharpen their blades train their troops in preparation for the upcoming events. The first one to start, just 10 days after the new year it's one of their favorite events, Arena of Honor. After having a great season 4, it's time for LadyKnight to once again prove her worth and if possible do even better in the 5th season, so she prepared accordingly, with new troops, new skills for her dragon and upgrading the size of her army. Sunday early in the morning, before the sun rose on the sky, she was ready to go and meet with the team but just before she left bad news arrived by the raven, the Fantastic 10 team won't be able to participate on this round. Knowing she can't afford to skip a round, she decided to go back to the mercenary camps and try a round of solo queue, despite being aware that at the start of the season, the rankings reset and she'll possibly face very strong enemies. Once she arrived there, she signed the registration papers and then waited together with her commanders for the matchmaking to be done by the Old Gods.

Matchmaking was done quickly and it was now time to enter the battlefield and see what the odds reserved her for this fight. She noticed Cersei Lannister pointing her finger towards her, so it was clear she'll fight for the Lannister's in this round and together with her Cersei also choose [BDR] Oner M, [KTW]Allenliu, [OG1]Jon Snow Jo, [IXA]Essai, [BTa]dragon lion, [Owl]ANTIDOT, [BDR]KingUltra, [NBe]PowerrR and [Av0]kaos567 and once the team got completed, everyone headed towards the House Lannister's Clan Castle in the South-East forests of the battlefield. It didn't take long for everyone to get there and once they arrived, everyone set their camps and started giving last minute orders to their commanders and LadyKnight decided to quickly inspect the battlefield.

As expected from seeing her teammates, the House Stark and Targaryen didn't let the guard down and they also invited very strong warriors on their teams with Daenerys inviting the strongest [GJs] team led by Biet and Xenia Borino and Sansa inviting very strong warriors led by [WxD]lelele. Despite looking like a very hard battle to be fought, especially without a way to communicate LadyKnight decided to do her best anyway and hopefully win the round. The horn announcing the start of the battle was quickly heard all over the battlefield and everyone rushed to occupy and build the first set of strongholds.

Ladyknight, as named commander by Cersei herself, decided to go with military camps for this fight, as after the changes made by the Old Gods and the introduction of the AI teams, getting a second Clan Castle is almost mandatory to have any chances at winning the round. Her effort paid off and within minutes from the start of the fight, they managed to occupy the House Baratheon's Clan Castle and start taking their strongholds too. With the strongholds constructed, it was now time for the team to start focusing on the altars that were about to open. Being once again on a stacked battlefield, LadyKnight did her best to reinforce the stronger warriors in her team but still looked all over the battlefield for possible targets she could solo out and it didn't take long for her to find one.

LadyKnight's spearmen were able to deal with KingRagnar82's cavalry without too many troubles and that victory gave her a boost in morale and the will to keep looking for targets. It took just a few minutes to find another enemy that was trying to occupy one of the House Lannister's altars and it was time to try and kick him out.

Another win for LadyKnight and it was looking like she did underestimate Sararer's strength by quite a bit as she was able to defeat enemies, she didn't have much chance against before. With altars secured by the team, the attention was now shifting towards the City of Glory as it was about to drop the bubble and open for attacks.

As soon as it opened, the House Lannister warriors tried to take the lead on it with a quick solo from ANTIDOT and then everyone reinforced him with their finest cavalry but even like that his cavalry weren't a match for Biet's better trained spears and within seconds the city swapped hands. With Targaryen's holding the city a temporary alliance never seen in Westeros was formed between Starks and Lannisters and each sent their strongest warriors to retake the city.

Cersei sent PowerrR while Sansa sent lelele and SaShiMi to deal with Biet and rallies were quickly started and filled by the other team members. In a matter of minutes, the rallies were already marching and soon they arrived on the city's gates, tens of millions of troops ready to clash with the defending forces inside the city. Despite being lower in numbers, the troops defending had the terrain advantage and as soon as the orders were given, a clash of epic proportions took place between the forces. Weapons started clashing and troops very falling on both sides at a rate that couldn't be sustained by the reinforcements sent.

PowerrR's rally was the first once to hit and despite getting deflected, he managed to do quite a lot of damage on Biet's forces and allowed the other 2 rallies to kick the remaining forces in the city, and it was now up to Stark's to defend. As always Cersei wanted the city for herself and now launched rallies together with Daenerys in an attempt to secure the city. A back and forward battle started between the 3 houses with none of them managing to hold the city for the 4 minutes required to fully occupy 'it. Targaryen's however had the catapult advantage, and it was very easy for them to kick the other 2 houses while they were struggling to do the same. With the minutes passing and with so many troops needed to be healed, with 10 minutes left to fight, the rallies were filling a bit too slow and that allowed House Targaryen to quickly send new reinforcements between the rallies and ultimately that secured the City of Glory for them.

Despite not being able to hold the City of Glory, the team did an excelent job securing a lot of the other buildings on the battlefield and that ultimately gave them the 1st place and a lot of points. The fight went way better than LadyKnight expected and she is leaving the arena with a lot of rewards and fame points. Will she rejoin the team for the next round, or she'll have to do another solo queue round? We'll have to wait and see. See you all on the battlefield!
