After a long wait and intense preparation, the highly anticipated Ultimate Conquest final has arrived for RoD. Everyone in the alliance was excited to partake, despite always losing against BDR, they believed that this time it would be their chance to turn everything around and show everyone in Westeros that they were capable of being the champions in this event for the first time in their history. Their leader, OfSimpleMind, was more than ready to lead the team down the victorious path.

One could say that the exact same level of anticipation and preparation went for BDR, who knew exactly how strong RoD was, and underestimating them was never going to happen. BDR was victorious in all of their previous encounters this season, but every time it could've gone the other way with a simple difference of outcome: first capture from the race and swaps.

Neither side could win buildings easily this season against the other, the reinforcements' precision and strength for each side was just too high, the calibre at which the two alliances fought was unmatched. Both BDR and RoD were aware of the fact, making their focus of this match lay on the races to come. If the first capture and the swap were successful, it could secure a building for the entirety of the match, or at the very least buy a lot of time, and increase the points difference between the two sides.

This was the case in the two previous matches, where BDR dominated on the races. RoD was not even able to win a single time in the semi-finals, something that was unprecedented, but spoke volumes at how fast BDR had gotten with their practice over the years. In the last match, RoD tried their best to overcome this difficulty, and in the end their practice showed great improved results, however, it was unclear if that was going to be enough or not, no one could predict the outcome for a match of such calibre.

When the bubbles of the buildings dropped, everyone was burning with expectations from both sides. OfSimpleMind was anxious of this very moment. This beginning would dictate how the rest of the match was going to go and no one except the racers could do anything other than just watch the fate of the match being decided. Each passing second of watching the racers go towards the buildings built terror on OfSimpleMind's face, but it was soon replaced with a grin, RoD had captured the warrior, the most important building, and an outpost. The races were equal, something that would benefit RoD as long as they could hold onto the tower of the warrior.

BDR was aware of the fact, and jumped to attack the warrior as soon as the bubble dropped. Its buffs were something that they could not give up if they wished to have the upper hand. Rallies were raised and sent one after the other, without stopping, hitting but bouncing back every single time, until one faithful moment. With RoD not losing people from within the building, but the numbers dwindling inside, BDR managed to win the building with a singular winning rally. It seemed as though luck was not favouring RoD, that was what OfSimpleMind thought.

The buildings that each alliance held were indestructable, despite BDR holding the advantage from the buffs, and when the ports unlocked, the streak of bad luck continued for RoD. OfSimpleMind was stuck watching a catastrophe unfold before his very eyes: BDR had captured both of the ports, and only one was going to be swapped, everything relayed upon intercepting the close port. That would be the key in keeping RoD with a chance of winning the match.

And surely, RElax, one of the best fighters, showed that relaying upon him was the right choice for RoD, as the swap was flawlessly intercepted by him, giving the alliance one more chance at staying in the match.

With BDR having the advantage of first capture points over RoD, staying equal was not what OfSimpleMind wanted for the alliance. He knew that Casterly Rock was going to be the last decisive point before going on a rampage over the mines. The alliance that wins this race has the victory almost secured. OfSimpleMind could not bear to watch and closed his eyes, only waiting for the reaction of the warriors near him as the building got captured.

Once again, however, RoD's racers failed, despite their attempts to improve, despite all of the effort put in, BDR still ran them over. BDR had almost won everything.

As the match continued, the gap of points only grew in favour for BDR, and with the mines opening up, RoD could only win if they were to capture both of them pretty early on. OfSimpleMind was not going to give up that easily and would still ask of every member to trust and give it their all, but deep down, he knew it was all in vain.

With the mines open, and BDR obtaining the first capture once more, RoD knew that the match was almost over. They kept pressing on, despite having lost, just to defend their own honor. The Ultimate Conquest was over, yet again with a loss, although this time it was much closer of a fight than the previous encounters. OfSimpleMind reflected on how much RoD managed to improve, but he knew it was not enough, not yet. Next season they had to bounce back even stronger and not give their opponents the chance to win so many races.
