ARENA OF HONOR | SEASON 4 ROUND 14 | HOUSE STARK.

Welcome Lords and Ladies to the fourteenth round of Arena of Honor, this will be our final round of Season 4. Tonight, we have a warrior’s desperate attempt to make it into the coveted King rank, he needs to get third or higher to finally reach his goal. Moshow2 had lost hope but he wanted to give it one last attempt, only to prove that he could do it. Will this warrior finally reach the King rank or will the Arena of Honor crush the dreams of this young warrior!

Moshow2 was coming off a fresh victory in round 13 but he knew this was a different day, “I think we should wait to see what our opponents do before making our strongholds, we can either counter them or go a different strategy to them,” Moshow2 knew the danger of making offensive strongholds, if his opponents also made offensive strongholds he could be stuck with the weaker troops and lose a lot of points. “I don’t like giving up on the Watch Towers but sometimes making Trading Posts is just the right answer,” Moshow2 wasn’t going to let this final match destroy his dreams and he had prepared multiple strategies to combat anything that may come his way. 

IRanger wanted to help Moshow2 reach the King rank as he had already made the rank in round 13, “if we see many teams making offensive strongholds, we have to build Trading Posts, we can’t get sucked into altar fighting when there are other more important objectives to take,” IRanger knew the dangers of needing every Altar of the Warrior while other teams are also fighting for them.

As for the Arena of Honor, it starts with six teams who fight for objectives on the map, each objective provides a first capture amount and then points over time, the team with the most points at the end of the match wins. “If we see that our opponents are much stronger than us, we should pivot and play for second place instead of wasting resources and fighting a losing battle,” IRanger was an experienced warrior at this point and knew how to navigate the Arena of Honor.

Finally, the teams entered the arena and House Stark knew this would be a tough match,” House Lannister and House Targaryen look to have stronger warriors that us but we can out play them,” IRanger saw both teams being heavily bow focused and they didn’t possess a strong spearmen warrior to fight them with. As the strongholds opened, it was both House Lannister and House Targaryen who started building offensive strongholds but they both went different troop types, “House Lannister is building spearmen strongholds and House Targaryen is building bowmen strongholds, I believe House Lannister will win that fight, we should probably stay out of it and build Trading Posts,” Moshow2 wanted to go the safe route, everything was riding on this decision. “House Baratheon, Greyjoy and Tyrell seem to be making mixed strongholds, perhaps they are less experienced than the others, this is good for us,” IRanger saw an opening and wanted his team to target these teams, since House Stark was in between House Baratheon and House Greyjoy. 

House Targaryen led by the powerhouse Finrahil, “our bowmen strongholds will protect our clan castle but our main goal is the Glory City, if you reinforce well the other teams will have no chance, “Finrahil was confident but building bowmen strongholds never ends well in Arena of Honor. “House Tyrell next to us seems like a good target to focus, their altars will be good buffs and points for us,” Finrahil saw House Tyrell as the weakest opponents on the battlefield but hadn’t given much thought to House Targaryen’s main rivals. 

Finally, we have the perceived favorites for the match, House Lannister led by the cunning dima223,” our spearmen strongholds should be the strongest, that means all the Watch Towers and Catapults should be ours for the taking,” dima223 was correct in his assumption but there was still time for teams to change their strategies if they wanted to challenge House Lannister. “Don’t forget about the Altars of the Warrior, they will be our main focus for this match,” dima223 had set his team up for success, it was now up to his team mates to stay focused and bring the win home.

As the first fifteen minutes passed by it was House Lannister and House Targaryen that both took one Watch Tower each, “I predict House Lannister will capture House Targaryen’s Watch Tower with ease, we are in third place for now but we will pass House Targaryen soon enough,” Moshow2 was thinking ahead, he knew the main threat was House Lannister. “We have the lead, let’s not give it up, I want to keep the lead for the rest of the match,” dima223 saw an easy victory in his future but he had no idea of what was to come. House Stark quickly got to work on taking altars from both House Greyjoy and House Baratheon, “well while we have those two teams under control we can poke at the stronger teams as well, I will start with House Targaryen,” Moshow2 was biting off more than he could chew but being so aggressive meant his home altars were safe for now. House Lannister started capturing House Targaryen’s Watch Tower, “what were they thinking with bowmen strongholds, they have made this a lot harder for themselves,” dima223 rejoiced in his well thought out plan but there still was House Stark who were gaining on House Lannister due to the sheer number of Altars of the Maiden they had captured. On the other hand, House Greyjoy were in fourth place fighting it out with House Baratheon and House Tyrell but it was hard to tell which one of these teams would eventually gain the upper hand in this trio. “The Dragonpits are about to become available, we need to make sure House Lannister doesn’t take more than one of them, otherwise it will be impossible to lodge them from the Glory City,” IRanger knew it would be a tough ask to stop House Lannister from dominating from this point out and was hoping House Targaryen would use their strong warriors to at least slow down House Lannister.

The Dragonpits became the next point of contention, “I have targeted the Draginpit closest to House Targaryen, make sure the one closest to us is taken before House Lannister take it,” Moshow2 agreed with IRanger, he knew House Lannister couldn’t be allowed to capture more than one Dragonpit. “We have our Dragonpit, let’s take one from House Stark, the one closest to House Targaryen, further away from their reinforcements,” dima223 knew how important Dragonpits could be for the Glory City fight to come. In the end House Lannister won out and captured two Dragonpits to House Stark one, “our lead is growing, House Targaryen is falling behind House Stark, let them fight amongst each other, our main goal is to secure the Glory City and end this match,” dima223 could see a path to victory but he was still worried about House Targaryen and their strong warriors. 

All eyes would turn to the Glory City and with their new found buffs House Lannister quickly took the Glory City, “we have two rallies coming for us, ready the reinforcements,” dima223 knew they only had to keep the Glory City for a few more minutes. “I will destroy these fools in the Glory City and I need you to keep them busy by attacking their altars, House Lannister is our target,” Finrahil wasn’t playing around anymore, they were 30k points behind House Stark now and the gap was widening due to them losing their Watch Tower. The first rally hit with thunder and gasps around the arena as there were new banners over the Glory City, “House Starks rally is coming in 20 seconds, quickly reinforce while you still can,” Finrahil hoped he could tank House Starks rally but it wasn’t enough and now it was House Starks turn to withstand the onslaught. “I see House Lannister has 3 rallies being formed, House Targaryen also has a rally being formed, this is going to be tough,” Moshow2 knew it was a tough ask of House Stark to take this kind of punishment, he quickly deployed his new plan and started preparing for the Mineshafts. In the end it was House Lannister that took and captured the Glory City, pushing their lead to the stratosphere. 

The match became a two way fight for 2^nd place as House Lannister had secured the win with the Glory City, “Mineshafts become our way to get out of reach from House Targaryen and we still have a chance to take the Glory City in the dying minutes of the match,” Moshow2 had a plan but could he execute the plan, he looked at the rest of his team, they all nodded in unison. “The only chance we have at sneaking first place is if House Targaryen helps us but I doubt they will launch anymore rallies on the Glory City,” IRanger was being realistic but there was still a small chance House Stark came away with the win. “House Lannister is taking most of the Mineshafts which is good for us, House Targaryen’s chances grow smaller the more Mineshafts are taken by us or House Lannister,” IRanger was content with second place at this point but in the end even he couldn’t resist giving the Glory City one last shot.

Meanwhile House Greyjoy had managed to dominate the other smaller Houses of Tyrell and Baratheon respectively. It was only House Tyrell that kept fighting till the end since they were still close to losing out to House Baratheon. The gap between these two Houses were only 2k points but it was unlikely House Baratheon would find a way to break through as they were out or resources and their morale was destroyed. 

The final minutes of the match had arrived and House Stark with the help of House Lannister had secured 2^nd place but they wanted more, “I know we don’t have many troops left but let’s try at least,” Moshow2 knew it wasn’t likely to work without the help of House Targaryen but he had nothing to lose at this point. The only way House Lannister could lose now was if they abandoned the Glory City, “may the Old Gods watch over us and give us the strength to overcome House Lannister,” IRanger closed his eyes as the rally crashed against the Glory City and when he opened them, he smirked. “We weren’t successful but we did everything we could today and that’s all I can ask for, “IRanger saw his troops returning to his stead battled and bruised as they heard a huge cheer from the crowd and House Lannister which signalled that the match was over. 

As the final minutes ticked away House Stark were content with their second-place finish, “I finally made the King rank and I would like to thank each and every one of you for helping me reach my goals,” Moshow2 was pleased with how things went but the decision to build Trading Posts was still nagging him in the back of his mind. “House Lannister were just stronger on the day but we gave them one hell of a match, I would liked to have seen us face them again but this time targeting them more and taking their buffs away but I’m happy with what we did today,” IRanger could see House Stark being a force in the future if they stuck together but he would have to wait until the next season of Arena of Honor.

On the other side of the battlefield House Lannister celebrated their well-deserved win, “we were in first place for most of that match, we dominated the Dragonpits and took what was rightfully ours,” dima223 enjoyed the match and wouldn’t have changed anything and why would he with such a dominate display, becoming a crowd favorite with his tactics.
