Ashes of a Broken Blade - Arena of Honor Season 4 Round 12

As the Winter is preparing to take the Autumn's place in Westeros, the Season 4 of Arena of Honor it's slowly but surely heading towards its end. With just 4 rounds left to play, [N0X] Shado started getting good results despite fighting team's way above his paygrade so he's heading towards the 12th round with a winning mindset, hoping he can at least repeat the results from the last 2 rounds if not do even better and actually win the round. In the 2 weeks between the rounds, he went on quests all over the Westeros trying to improve his army and commanders along with his dragons. The time flew by very quickly and in before he knew it was already Sunday evening and time for him to go to the Arena of Honor battlefield and meet with the team. Once he arrived there, he signed the pre-registration papers and once everyone in the team did the same, the team got registered and everyone waited patiently for the matchmaking to be done.

The matchmaking was quickly done and now it was time for the houses to pick the teams they want to fight in their name for this round. Shado's team was chosen by Daenerys Targaryen this time and once all the houses had done their picks everyone headed towards their Clan Castles with Shado and the team heaving towards the South-West forests where the House Targaryen Clan Castle is located. Once they arrived there, everyone started setting up their camps and do last minute strategizes and Shado decided to use a few of those minutes to send some scouts to the other houses and see what they are up to.

When he read the news that the scouts got back, he felt chills going down on his spine as despite knowing the match will be hard once more, he didn't expect'it to be that hard. The battlefield was simply packed, the strongest BDR team, 2 RoD teams, the strongest HOH team and one of the NBe teams were all on the same battlefield. Despite that, they faced such strong enemies in the past and managed to get a decent ranking, so they were hoping to put up a great fight once again and hopefully end with a good result once again. The time for strategizes was over as the fight started quickly with the opening of the first set of strongholds.

Being in disadvantage in terms of raw strength, the team decided to go with trading posts this time to have a good points generation and fight for the City of Glory when it comes to it, in hopes to somehow sneak a victory. The construction of strongholds went quickly and well that it did, cause the altars were starting to open and everyone in the team is going to need all the troops they have to reinforce. Knowing he won't be able to do much with solos on such a stacked battlefield, Shado decided to focus on looking what altars his team gets and reinforce them as quickly as possible.

And good that he did as the pressure on altars was piling with every second passing and the team's strongest warriors were in dire need of reinforcements. Once some of altars were secured it was time for the team to go offensive and try to occupy altars from the other houses to try and catch up in points.

Despite being a very complicated battle, it was looking like the team got the hang of it and they were slowly but surely catching up in points, and they managed to crawl from the 6th spot now fighting for the 4th. While the fight for altars was heating up more and more, things were about to get even more complicated as the City of Glory was about to drop the bubble and open for attacks.

As expected, the House Tyrell took lead, with Tholking kicking the neutral NPCs out with a swift solo attack. and he quickly got reinforced by his team. Despite knowing there's not much chance into defeating them, every house sent their strongest rally leads to challenge Tholking to a fight. Daenerys sent Arthurion and Lady Arthena, Stannis sent HeavenSake, Sansa sent Tardis, basically every house sent their strongest warriors on the battlefield and their rallies quickly got reinforced by the rest of team members and in a matter of minutes they were marching towards the City of Glory together with rallies from the other houses. Once they arrived there, they noticed the impressive force that Tyrell's had massed into defending the city. A fight of epic proportions took place on the vale where the City of Glory was located, with millions and millions of troops fighting on each side, sounds of the valyrian steel weapons clashing could be heard all over the battlefield and troops were falling quickly on both sides, turning the snow around the city in bright red. Despite Tholkings's superior strength, the troop numbers were not in his favor and every rally managed to chip a bit of the troops there, but his team was also on point with the reinforcements so the fight for the city continued for minutes after minutes with no side willing to give up. Ultimately the raw strength emerged victorious over the numbers and the House Tyrell managed to fully occupy the City of Glory with just a few minutes left from the round.

Unfortunately, the 12th round didn't end well for Shado and the team. Despite them giving their best, they ended up on 5th place that ultimately made them lose 10 fame points, but that's Arena of Honor it has ups and downs and Shado's hoping that the next battles won't be as hard as this one and him and the team will be able to once again get good placements and climb the rankings towards the Glory King rank. Will they be able to do that though? We'll have to wait and see. See you all on the battlefield!
