One last effort was required today.

After an exhausting season, where challenges were certainly not lacking, the decisive moment has arrived for House of Heroes: qualify for the playoffs or say goodbye to the competition prematurely. For a group of their caliber, led by great fighters such as Spimmer, R0nY, and BloodWick, it would have been a failure not to be recognized as one of the 12 best alliances of the season and the realm.

But, as we know, matchmaking is unpredictable. And if fate is against you, there is little to do but give it your all, whoever your rival may be. It also took a good dose of luck to achieve the desired results.

Lined up ready on the battlefield, the 81 members of HOH eagerly awaited to find out who their next rival would be, the last of their season.

“Whoever our rival may be, we will use our usual strategy: spread out across the battlefield, following the orders of your group leaders,” said Spimmer after consulting with his leadership. They were doing an excellent job this season in guiding their teammates. After all, they were top-level fighters and proved it every second they spent on the battlefield.

As the final preparations were being completed, their rival appeared on the horizon. At the sight of today's opponents' flags, a shiver ran down Neik's spine. “It can't be...” he said in a trembling voice.

The rival alliance they were about to face was...

WXD, probably the worst alliance you could face in the sixth round. With their qualification for the SoW PlayOffs not yet guaranteed, it was certain that they would give their all to achieve a positive result in the upcoming clash against HOH.

The group was recognized as one of the strongest in the realm, and after their recent merger with DUM, they had become even stronger, despite the loss of some fighters who had gone their separate ways. Led by incredible warriors, both in terms of fighting and strategic skills, such as Sylica, BANANA, and STRAW BERRY, they wanted to leave nothing to chance by winning as convincingly as possible against Neik and his teammates, but things were not a foregone conclusion for them either!

“No matter how strong our opponent is,” Spimmer began, “we knew it would be a difficult match, perhaps not to this extent, but fate would have it that way. Let's leave everything we have on the battlefield and, perhaps, with a good dose of luck, we will be able to achieve a positive result as we did against them a few seasons ago in Alliance Conquest.”

It was a rallying cry for his allies, reminding them that the group had prevailed over their rivals in the past. The alliance leaders could do no more: they knew how fearful their comrades were at the sight of their rivals' flags, the name WxD was almost overwhelming for their rivals. They did everything a good leader should do to try to spur on their allies.

The match was about to begin. A storm had been raging over Westeros for several days, making the air freezing for the combatants and making them nostalgic for the days when the sun beat down on the battlefield. Now there was only the shadow covered by dark clouds in the sky that dumped downpours, flooding the battlefield, which would be an additional obstacle for the members of both alliances. There was tension in the air for several reasons, and everyone was waiting for the sixty minutes of competition to begin.

At the start of the contest between the two alliances, both sides appeared balanced and cautious. Neither leadership wanted to make a false move, and the contest began defensively.

Despite this, however, Sylica and his companions immediately opted for a change of strategy. They pushed hard on the Armory side in order to attack their rivals on two fronts while they were busy with the difficult conquest of HotSprings, as WxD was an alliance that, even though outnumbered, was not easy to deal with, having members of the highest caliber in their roster!

After the battle had been going on for a few minutes, however, there was another unexpected move by the HOH members: under the leadership of STARW BERRY, the rivals decided to push towards Greyjoy2 Stronghold to try to close in on their opponents' base from the early stages!

Meanwhile, on the opposite side of the battlefield, the group led by R0NY was being put to the test: The greater offensive force on this side was giving them a hard time. After an easy conquest of Armory, the group led by BANANA reached Greyjoy1 Stronghold and managed to temporarily take possession of it, even though the members of HOH were trying to resist their rivals' fury.

“We have to push and put pressure on them in Stark2 Stronghold on their side of the battlefield, we can't just keep defending,” said Spimmer after a brief consultation with his leadership. The HOH counterattack began!

A move that caught WxD's defensive troops off guard!

The strategy was working, and it was clear to see on the battlefield. Neik and his allies quickly managed to take possession of the coveted position, restoring the balance of critical outposts near Winterfell to two on each side before the imminent capture of Winterfell!

However, their rivals' response was not long in coming! The rival members, led by STRAW BERRY, came to the defense of the position and, after a brief battle in which they outnumbered their opponents, managed to regain the advantage for WxD!

“The match isn't going worse than expected, we still have a location where we can quickly deliver the loot, let's get ready to fight for it!” called the HOH leadership members, who saw their comrades holding their own against such a strong alliance.

Neik, among those who were trying to give their all on the battlefield, agreed with the strategies adopted by his leaders and immediately headed to Winterfell for the battle.

When the loot was available, Relax immediately took possession of it and headed for one of his allied bases, namely those of WxD.

Trying to stop him by any means possible, the members of HOH rushed to attack him, but he was one of the strongest and most dangerous members of Westeros, with superhuman strength and difficult to face in one-on-one combat. He was also assisted by other formidable warriors from the kingdom; WxD had an incredible roster.

The efforts of Neik and his companions did not bring the desired result. After an exhausting battle, the first loot was secured by Sylica and his companions, who, in addition to taking possession of the buildings, managed to gain a significant scoring advantage.

“Let's not despair, let's try to defend our positions while we wait for the next loot. It's not over yet,” said Neik in an attempt to spur on his allies!

In the next phase of the match, it was once again WxD who broke the deadlock by heading for the conquest of Greyjoy2 Stronghold!

Meanwhile, Stranger's Statue appeared nearby and was firmly placed in command by the members of HOH, gaining a small advantage over their rivals in terms of buffs, which could be significant for the outcome of the match.

WxD's offensive was increasingly insistent and difficult to contain, but HOH was trying with all its might, as a defeat would have been a severe blow to them.

Their superhuman effort, combined with their numerical superiority due to their proximity to their base, was certainly helping them, but the pressure exerted by the rival alliance was incredible, and this came at a price...

The large concentration of troops brought in by HOH made life almost easy for WxD in Winterfell, where they managed to get their hands on the second loot and bring it to safety.

“We didn't need that,” exclaimed a distressed Neik, who felt the match slipping away minute by minute.

The large gap in points between the two alliances fully reflected the difference between them: in recent seasons, HOH lost several top-level fighters who had guaranteed the group consecutive appearances in the final stages of competitions, while for WxD, adding DUM members to their ranks after losing some important fighters ensured that they remained at the highest level.

Insistently and relentlessly, STRAW BERRY and his companions were becoming increasingly numerous in the stronghold... until, after several attempts, they finally managed to gain numerical superiority and conquer it despite the tough defense put up by the now exhausted members of HOH who, miraculously, managed to regain possession once again. The battle for it was epic!

Once again, however, it was a strategy orchestrated by Sylica and his companions. They forced their rivals into a last-ditch defense of a stronghold they desperately needed in order to deliver any loot, keeping them busy there, but with the aim of having fewer rivals to face near Winterfell for the capture of the third loot, which mathematically ended the contest between the two alliances, brought to safety by BA NA NA for WxD without the members of HOH being able to significantly counter it.

With no hope of turning the tide of the match, Neik and his teammates had no choice but to fight for personal glory at this point and wait for the end of the 60 minutes of play, which arrived inexorably.

The victory in the sixth round of SoW was won by... WxD!

MVP’s

The best fighters of the match were:

R0nY for HOH: To sum up his season within the alliance in a single word, one could use the term “driving force.” Once again, he was the best among his peers, but today there was a group that was too strong even for him to overcome.

Bzzb for WxD: By taking first place in the match's elimination rankings, he proved how indispensable he was to his alliance. He was definitely one of the members that every alliance aspired to have.

“It was definitely not the season finale we expected,” were the first words chosen by the HOH leadership. "We know we deserved a place among the top twelve alliances, but luck in the choice of opponents plays a crucial role, as we well know, and that's how it went. Until the result was decided, we fought to the best of our ability, and even though it wasn't enough against WxD, we are sure that in future seasons we will achieve great satisfaction!" was the speech before leaving the battlefield.

With his head down, a distressed Neik, at the end of his strength, returned to k345. Today's clash saw him give his all to influence the final result of the match, but many of his rivals were far superior to his fighting skills, and the defeat he suffered was painful and hard to swallow.

Having failed to qualify for the Siege of Winterfell PlayOffs, which HOH could only watch, exciting clashes were on the cards, to say the least! Which alliance would be the strongest to take home the championship title? Let's find out together!
