Against All Odds - Siege of Winterfell - Season 16 Round 1 - [N0X] vs [WAO]

As the summer is coming to an end in Westeros and autumn is getting ready to take its place, warriors are preparing for another season of Siege of Winterfell, an event like by most of the RTS fans out there. [N0X] is always trying to do their best in all the events so this season of Siege of Winterfell won't be any different. Their goal for this season is the same as the past seasons since Siege of Winterfell got its version of Ultimate Conquest, qualify for it at least once but that's not an easy task as unlike Alliance Conquest, on SoW UC only 12 alliances with the highest score at the end of the 6 rounds qualify. With their goal set and the 1st match around the corner the [N0X] leadership gathered to make the best possible strategy for the round, as the enemies they going to face are anything but weak. There were back and forth discussions on how they should approach the season start, should they ask for help from friends or go in blind and hope for an opponent that's defeatable. Ultimately it was decided to not ask anyone and just register for the first round like that but even without friends joining, [N0X] had very strong warriors in their roster, light Yagami, Grombold, MAKIMA, Belore II and a few others. After registration everyone waited patiently for midnight when the Old Gods will decide their opponent.

And the Old Gods decided, apparently in [WAO]'s favor, at least on paper, considering their alliance score and raw alliance power. [N0X] and [WAO] know each other since the ancient K1 times, when [N0X] was just a small alliance but time has passed and [N0X] grew bigger and bigger to the point where they can face [WAO] with chances to actually win. The two alliances never faced in the Siege of Winterfell, but they did face once in Alliance Conquest some seasons ago and [WAO] managed to win so it was time for revenge now? Yes, yes it was. Now that they knew their opponent the leadership decided how exactly to split the teams for the fight and sent a raven to all members as attendance is very important in Siege of Winterfell. By the time everything was set and done it was already Wednesday evening and time for everyone to head to the Siege of Winterfell battlefield and as soon as they arrived there, they started entering the battlefield.

There were so many warriors on both sides each of them bringing millions of troops into the fight, the soil was trembling under their march and with just a few seconds before the start of the fight the board was showing 79 warriors for [N0X] against 84 warriors for [WAO]. Can [N0X] overcome the numbers advantage combined with the advantage of the alliance score and power? As soon as the battle started everyone mounted up and rushed to their designed buildings as it's very important to get to the buildings as quickly as possible.

[WAO] did the same thing and the battlefield started trembling under the so many marches going at the same time and Shado was on his toes looking at who's going to get at the Armory and Hot Springs first and by the looks of it, [N0X]'s horses were a bit faster than [WAO]'s and they managed to get there first but as soon as they arrived and seen the enemy forces heading towards them they noticed a problem, [WAO] didn't split equally, they sent most of their forces to the Hot Springs and the proportion of the numbers were insanely in [WAO]'s favor.

At some point there were 187 marches against 77 but as [N0X] was determined to start the season with a win, nothing was going to stop them from doing their best despite being so outnumbered. Commanders and troops were falling on both sides in rapid succession, it was one of the bloodiest battles that Westeros have ever seen, there was so much blood that a thought to rename Hot Springs into Red Springs croosed everyone's mind, but both sides were healing their troops as soon as they could and immediately rejoin the battle hoping to push back the enemies. [N0X] leadership stepped in and sent forces from the Armory side to help on the Hot Springs as healing was very expensive for [N0X] warriors without it. The reinforcements arrived just in time as [N0X] was barely handling the fight on the Hot Springs side but now with the fresh reinforcements they started doing way better.

Slowly but surely [N0X] started to push [WAO] back on the Hot Springs side, and once they captured Hot Springs and could heal for cheaper, they went back into fighting even quicker, but [WAO] wasn't ready to give up and they kept fighting for every meter of battlefield. The wounded and dead soldiers were in tens of millions for both sides but that didn't bother anyone as everyone was fully prepared to give their hearths on the battlefield for the win, if needed. Despite having less warriors on the battlefield, the strength and determination of [N0X] was bigger than [WAO]'s and they started pushing them more and more towards their base while the Winterfell packages started being transported by Air Bearface(his horses were so fast that people thought he's flying) to the [N0X] bases. Slowly but surely as [N0X] was getting more and more ground, the [WAO]'s morale started crumbling down slowly but surely, they kept healing and fighting but not at the same speed as they did on the first half of the match.

Despite being outnumbered and at least on paper outgunned, [N0X] proved once more what a strong alliance they've become and managed to revenge that Alliance Conquest loss in the past with a win in Siege of Winterfell. Great start of the season for them, as not only they managed to win but they managed to get a great score too, an excelent boost of morale. Will they be able to keep winning and manage to qualify for Siege of Winterfell UC? We'll have to wait and see. See you all on the battlefield!
