Road to Glory - Arena of Honor - Season 3 Round 12

As Westeros is heading towards summer, the Arena of Honor Season 3 is heading towards its end quickly and [N0X]LadyKnight it's now preparing for the 12th round after getting 3 consecutive wins since she joined the fantastic 10 team. The Glory King rank is in sight, but the competition is fierce, she might get 'it with a win in this round, but first they have to win of course. On the 2 weeks between the rounds, she had her blacksmiths forge more valyrian steel weapons, improved her commanders with better weapons and her dragons with better dragon skills. The time for preparations was over as it was already Sunday and the sun war rising so it was time for her to go to the Arena of Honor battlefield and meet with her team. Upon her arrival she signed the pre-registration papers in order to participate on the fight, Tominy signed the team up and they all waited patiently for the matchmaking, hoping for an easier fight than they had in the prior round.

Once the matchmaking was completed, it was time for everyone to step up on the battlefield and see where they end up. The fantastic 10 team was chosen by Daenerys Targaryen to fight for her House in the South-West forests very close to the southern deserts. Once everyone arrived there and setup their camps around the Targaryen's Clan Castle, LadyKnight decided to do a quick inspection around the battlefield and see what the other houses are up to.

The spies got back both good and bad news, good as there was looking to be an easier round than before and bad cause house Greyjoy decided to invite the strongest [KAC] team led by Matjenin and Black Bear.

The fight was looking to be a quite tough one but maybe not as tough as the round 10. The battle started as usual with the opening of the strongholds and everyone in the team rushed to occupy and reinforce them with a set number of troops in order to completely construct them before the next set of strongholds open. Once they were occupied for the 2 minutes needed, it was now time for the builders to go in and start constructing them. Tominy as the team commander decided to go with spearman camps this time and see where that leads the team.

To everyone's surprise none of the other houses decided to go with military camps on this fight, all of them choose the safe route of going trading posts and the ensured smooth sailing for the fantastic 10 team regarding the watch towers and later catapults and possibly a way easier time keeping the City of Glory. But before the City of Glory opening there was much fight left to do, as together with the next batch of strongholds, the altars starting to open too. Regarding strongholds Tominy took the decision to mix military camps with trading posts to increase points generation but still have enough to occupy the buildings.

The battle for altars started and with Matjenin and Black Bear on the other team it wasn't going to be easy for LadyKnight and her team. She was doing scouting all over the battlefield and it didn't take a lot of time to find a target that she thought she could maybe defeat, [SFu] Dasharath was guarding an Altar of the Stranger. LadyKnight quickly assembled a solo march of his best troops and decided to challenge him to a fight.

The attack was swift and caught Dasharath by surprise, his troops and commanders didn't had time to properly react, and they got decimated quickly. LadyKnight's commanders and troops started celebrating a bit too quickly and didn't even see Black Bear and his infantry coming from the other side of the battlefield.

The attack was so swift that LadyKnight seen her troops decimated within seconds and she only had a few seconds to retreat before getting all her troops wounded. Knowing Black Bear's strength, she wasn't discouraged by the defeat and instead announced her team so one of the strongest warriors can go and avenge her. Her team members asked for reinforces as Matjenin's and Black Bear's attacks were coming every second and LadyKnight swiftly fulfilled the order.

Once the most important altars were secured, it was now time for the City of Glory to open for attacks. Considering whom they were fighting against, this time the reinforcements had to be top notch after the initial attack in order to secure the City of Glory.

The first attempt was not successful though and for the first time this round, the team had to rely on rallies to retake the City of Glory. ImperialRock's rally was successful, and the 4 minutes timer needed to occupy the City of Glory started. Of course, Matjenin and Black Bear wouldn't just let things end like that and they both started rallies on the city.

Everyone in the team was asked to reinforce quickly with fresh marches to try and withstand the upcoming attack. The attack was a bad as the team expected and unfortunately the rallies were extremely well timed and ImperialRock didn't had enough troops left to win the 2nd rally and House Targaryen lost City of Glory once again. As soon as troops returned, Light Yagami and ImperialRock started the counter rallies and this time it was Light Yagami's time to try and hold the city. Matjenin and Black Bear started the rallies again and in a matter of seconds they were at the city gates but this time Light Yagami managed to hold with the help of reinforcements. With last rally hitting just 15 seconds before the protection bubble, winning it felt great for the whole team.

This was the moment that decided the whole round as with just a few minutes left from the fight after the protection bubble dropped, the other houses decided to fight for a better placement instead of keep challenging House Targaryen and probably end up on the last place.

Excellent win for the team on this round too, despite facing a very strong team. LadyKnight got closer to her goal, the Glory King, but there's still work to do before actually getting'it. With 3 rounds left from this season will she be able to get 'it or not? We'll all have to wait and see, i guess. See you all on the battlefield!
