Hello again, here I am with yet another story from struggles within Alliance conquest event.

Today we will review game against LEG which was our next opponent after losing to BDR.

LEG used to be one of the top teams, lead by mighty fighter called abdykarahman, yet he has left to BaN which then has disbanded and separated its ways to BDR and RoD, since that time, I have not heard of abdy, and I am unsure if he is not playing anymore, or is he playing under different nickname. As you might assume LEG was no longer taken under consideration for top positions in playoffs.

No matter of the strength of the enemy, we always take everyone seriously, and this time was not different. We were highly motivated to win this game with big point advantage, to boost the morale of the team after very bad defeat with BDR.

Bit of information

Both teams knew each other from the past, as it is definitely not the first time we fight against each other. Obviously, players come and go, so obviously the squad of both teams is definitely different but still this would be classed as H2K match.

Like I said we were not planning to underestimate enemy, so our big guns like QUEENY Josehf or Vitoo were present for the game. This has clearly drawn a line on our advantage if it comes to the strength, as I was not able to see anyone in LEG who could compete with trio mentioned by me above.

On the other hand, AC is such a unique event where not only strength is important, but also speed (racers) or even tactic, planning, and morale boost that can make miracles!

Would LEG surprise us in any of the subjects, could potentially find their strength in it, and compete, less or more, but compete, and that is the most important, to die with honour, not like a coward!

As it stand, we were the underdog based on the rankings, costly defeat against BDR made us accumulate only 4208 points while LEG had 4230. This has only made us be extra careful when attempting to fight against LEG as clearly, they made them points somehow, meaning they had to have succesfull matches prior to going against us. Time to put their winning streak down, I guess!

Soldiers! Lets gather!

It was long beautiful weekend; it was very hot considering event was happening during Saturday evening. Knowing we have event in the evening I made sure that I had rest before, so I was 100% for the match. Fully rested I have armed myself, ensured there is a lord in my prison and rushed towards the mighty castle of my QUEENY.

Upon arrival, the tactics were discussed, QUEENY and her masters’ discussed possibilities, and strengths of LEG. It has been clearly anticipated that LEG will be looking to surprise us, we just did not know how!

I felt a bit anxious as It is uncomfortable situation for me when I don’t know what is my challenge, I am feeling a lot better when I know who the monster is and what abilities it has but it is what it is and sometimes we have to trust our leadership and do our best to keep the honour and return from the battlefield with shield, rather than on the shield.

19:00 arrived and we were ready, Racers were on the spot, same as slow marchers, both were just waiting for first 4 buildings to lose the bubble, and…HERE WE GO! Every single racer rushed like their life depend of it. I am finding it fascinating how quickly some people can click those buttons!

Great Odin has been kind for us tonight and from 4 castles we managed to have first capture on all except mother!

The only racer from enemy team, Драконыч, which I cannot pronounce his nickname without copying it, was fast enough to win the battle for Mother. Considering Ports will open in next +/- 5-10 minutes, we had time for a bit of fun, to contest our enemies, and try our strength by making rallies on Mother.

Unfortunately, it seemed as Драконыч was just a very fast racer, and was not able to hold mother himself, so enemy has decided to swap their occupying lord after approximately 50 seconds, and that is when we have shown, why people fear when mentioning our names, the castle has been hijacked, and all 4 buildings were ours now!

Enemy decided to use this opportunity to tickle Joshef a little bit, which was a kind gesture, so he could stay awake!

Enemy constantly kept rallying our buildings, but without any effect,

We were just too strong and each time, all that could be seen were defeated troops returning home

Considering everything else had bubbles on, we had a bit of time for chats and to cool off the atmosphere, as during events like such, people might feel a bit tense due to the competitivity and challenges approaching. We decided to make some jokes, to cool it off, and then with cold head, prepare for capture of ports!

Bubbles have dropped and once again racers have rushed almost like discount lovers during the black Friday markets opening time! We were all crossing our fingers for our racers, and hoping that we succeed in capturing the ports as first capture grants additional points. Unfortunately, enemy was faster, on both ports! Once again Драконыч showcase his speed, joined by Nominor!

This was demotivating from one side as we lost the race, but motivating from the other side, as so far there was no action, and nobody likes matches where one side is dominating another. Maybe this will be our opportunity to rally enemy! As the situation was evolving enemy has swapped Драконыч to Nemezisrelax, a strong spear warrior which then was reinforced. It is finally happening, we will rally! The euphoria has taken over our moods, warriors without a war feel like fish without water, we could finally feel alive again!

Once we captured first port, we re-focused on the second one. We want it all!

We were dominating enemy on every single ground except the speed rush for first capture.

There was no way of enemy beating us at this point so we could relax a little bit, yet still had to fully participate. Next building that we were waiting for was the main one, the cherry of all buildings, Casterly Rock that gives great number of points if captured and hold! How did the racers do? Well as you potentially can suspect what happened, once again I think Драконыч drank some red bull and kept flying towards his destinations as how could he beat us so many times!

Frozor was our slow marcher for CR which kept walking slowly towards the castle, hoping enemy will swap, like always did when Драконыч took over the castle. This time was no different, enemy tried to change leader, but we did not manage to hijack it! Instead, we did quick rally as soon it was possible, and managed to take over the castle!

In the meantime, enemy kept focusing on rallying our buildings, it must be mentioned as even being in such a difficult situation and playing a match where you are outplayed on almost every level, you keep fighting, I really admire it, and my respect goes to LEG for this.

At this point it was only strongholds left, and then big break in time in which bubbles will drop on our individual castles. That was where I was hoping to get some points, by soloing enemy castles!

In the meantime the strongholds, were taken 1 each by x ADAM x for FFS and… you would never guess! Драконыч once again! That is 3^rd time already!

Time to have some fun and hit the enemy castles let’s go!

I focused on scouting enemy to find those who play cavalry so I can counter them with my spears!

As much it was working well so far, I had to mess up, as usual, and attack wrong person without a scout. Well, I got countered big time!

Game did not change after that, all the way till the end, we kept the castles, enemy kept rallying us, and could not make nay impact. Mines which open just on the end of the event, were split decision, one for us, and one taken by… yep.. him again! Драконыч was ruthless and took first capture points for the 4^th time! Really impressive!

Summary

Whole match was pretty much one sided, enemy was shining when it was coming to first capture, mainly by Драконыч which I personally would consider as man of the match, yet were lacking strong players to then keep those first captured castles. It was easy victory which allowed us to see our weakness, and what should we focus to practice before the next game!

If you look on the board below, you can see as if enemy would have some great warriors to hold the castles, we would struggle as they did quite an impact on first captures!
