-<( Introduction )>-
Blood was shed frequently in Westeros, and not always for good reason. But on this Sunday, every reason in the world was in place to spread death and desolation. The Champion City Siege was about to begin, bringing with it its share of fighters and strategists ready to sacrifice anything to obtain the coveted rewards. The rules were rather simple: one hour, one building to defend or attack. Even for the least seasoned fighter, the art of war in the Champion City Siege remained accessible. Pure combat.
For Arthurion, the stakes were low. Early on, he had been warned by his friend Vangark, who offered him a deal:
- Vangark: In the next siege of a champion city, we can go with AfV.
- Arthurion: Who will be there?
- Vangark: Ganicus and Imperial Rock in particular.
- Arthurion: Ouch…
Enough to make you shudder. Arthurion had once made a CCS by facing Tholking. It's never very rewarding to have to face someone who's far too powerful. The challenge is null, and very unrewarding. But this time, he was offered the chance to cross to the other side of the barrier and defend a giant. Arthurion didn't like this position. He had once deployed his army to defend the castle for the benefit of another. Many troops lost for little reward, and above all, no thanks from the one who had held the castle and obtained the best rewards. But he didn't really have a choice…

-<( On the battlefield )>-
On the ground, there wasn't much to look for. The vast majority of the map was occupied by the AfV. Clearly, everyone had agreed. Even the most powerful players, like Makima, Grombold, and Allis, had given in to the game and given up on putting up any resistance...

Among the only opponents was a small group of LEGs, but they were really very few in number...

Was it seriously possible to carry out a siege under these conditions? Fighting spirit seemed at an all-time low…
-<( Beginning of Hostilities )>-
As expected, the first to capture the central city was Imperial Rock. Few runners on the map had dared to attempt to take the city for themselves.

But by a twist of fate, ImperialRock didn't stay in the building. Quite unexpectedly, he was evicted. By another alliance? Did he leave the city on his own? No idea. In any case, it was Ganicus who took possession of the lords' nightmare city.

But once inside the castle, it was impossible to get in. It quickly filled up. 30 defenders were there, and no room for Arthurion or his acolytes. And since there were no willing opponents to confront them, there was no chance the city would empty… It wasn't long before Arthurion decided to leave the alliance, return to his original alliance, and attack Ganicus. It was the only way to score some points.
A reversal of fortune.
He was quickly joined by his allies, and more besides. Dozens of them had followed Arthurion, seeing that otherwise, absolutely nothing would happen. Luckily, it was known that Ganicus was in the infantry. It would therefore be quite easy for Arthurion to attack him with cavalry. Well, normally… So a rally was quickly organized, which struck the central city.

And it was a victory. Modest, but a victory nonetheless. At least it had the merit of existing, and of giving points to both sides. And since everyone had come for that, Arthurion organized another rally against Ganicus.

The second rally was a little more successful. Arthurion immediately noticed what he had missed the first time: Ganicus had Voryan's weapon in 4 stars. Voryan was already a very great warrior in his own right, but he became literally overpowered with his weapon. The weapon nevertheless provided a significant bonus against the weak point synergy, inflicting a healing penalty. But against Arthurion, this had little effect.

The rallies followed one after the other, each with no resemblance. Sometimes victories, sometimes losses. But always terrible battles. With monumental losses.

As time passed, more and more fighters joined the alliance. Arthurion and his allies had become the repository for all those excluded from the castle who couldn't secure a place there. Arthurion didn't launch rallies for fun, but to allow everyone to earn their points.

The fighting continued for several more minutes. Time for everyone to claim the necessary number of kills. Arthurion continued his rallies. He, too, benefited from the ripple effect. He was the only hope for the other lords in need. He was a hero!

-<( Change of direction... )>-
Arthurion was busy preparing for his rally, as usual, when, for once, it didn't return.

What had happened? Ganicus couldn't have managed to destroy it so badly? It only took him a few minutes to understand. The central city had changed hands, and Ganicus was no longer in possession of it.

Against Imperialrock as a lancer, there was nothing to be done. The rest of the adventure was no longer of any interest.
- Arthurion: I won't launch a suicide rally against Imperialrock. Sorry, I like you, but not that much.
- Vangark: Isn't there anyone to launch infantry rallies?
- PacoVega: You'd have to ask Ganicus himself, or Makima.
- Vangark: I don't think that's on their internal organization's agenda...
- Arthurion: Then let's stop the war and pray to the seven!
- PacoVega: Yes, prayer, that's all that's left.
- Chayle: Hodor!
- Vangark: Yes, Chayle is right: Hodor is the only word that fits in these difficult times we're living through.
And instead of fighting, everyone took up a prayer position. For real? Of course not. The only way to achieve victory was through human sacrifice. A volunteer had to be found quickly.
- Arthurion: Go Chayle! Hodor! Go for it!
But the sacrifice changed nothing. It was therefore agreed to pay homage to all the victims. Then to gather at the usual banquet. The songs would praise Arthurion's many victories against Ganicus, and would obviously completely ignore the sequel against Imperial Rock. Histories are not written by the victors, they are written by those who write the histories.
-<( Conclusion )>-
Another siege of a champion city was closed. A new page in the great book of Westeros adventures. A new verse for a song. And all this would soon be forgotten, for the champion's city siege of the day had been of very limited interest! Even for the weakest general, it is easy to hold a city if there is no enemy. So, for the greatest of commanders...
Arthurion was still quite proud of having managed to organize a worthy opposition so quickly. What would have happened if he had given up on changing alliances? Would there have been no fighting? Everyone yearns for peace, but you still have to wage a little war from time to time! He was also a little disappointed to see that even the greatest commanders in Westeros had remained with AfV. Arthurion and his team would have deserved more than just battle diamonds as a reward. That's when Arthurion had his best idea of the day: next time, he'd make entry into his alliance a paywall, that way he'd get a little extra bonus.

The end of the event brought with it a well-deserved break. Everyone was able to count their troops. The frenzy of the rallies (especially with its new Cersei) had taken far too many of their troops. The bank would have to do its part to heal the remaining troops and restart military production. But at least each man had been able to get a little reward.
