Arena of Honor: Battle for the Altar of Maiden

-==Tavern Talks ==-

As always, we sat in the tavern of my castle again and recalled the latest events. The Night King ran out. The kingdom is safe. And last week we took part in the battle on the Arena of Honor where the rivals were 6 factions of 10 players each.

- Do you remember how cool our start was? - Alex asks me. - Everyone built Trading Posts to be guaranteed to receive points, and we went all in and built War Camps in the first Stronghold line.

- Yeah, - I answered him. - We were lucky from the beginning. Until we noticed WHAT kind of players were against us: [HOH], [UTB], [RoD], [LEG], [Arm], [FFS], [OBV] (by clockwise of the battlefield). Of course, we saw their power. Too strong for us. But this is not the first time that we have faced players who are stronger than us twice or higher.

- You are right, by the way, do you remember what happened next? - Efi smiled and attracted the attention of everyone sitting at the table.

And then there was pure mayhem... but let's start from the beginning.

-== Start of the Battle ==-

Anthraxus: Please do NOT reinforce Faction City. We are building War Camps. Their NPC will sit inside it, so our marches are needed in the Strongholds to build them faster to the max level.

Anthraxus: Guys, please, reinforce Strongholds.

Alex: We are building five spear camps and two cavalry.

Anthraxus: Roger that.

Sword: My commanders are in the Faction City. Infantry first formation.

Anthraxus: Alex, should we build Trading Posts in the second stronghold line?

Alex: Yes. Other factions have built only Trading Posts and we already have War Camps in our first stronghold line.

Anthraxus: OK

John: I’ll go for the first Altar.

Alex: Yep. Thanks.

Anthraxus: Second stronghold line - reinforce please…

Alex: … and reinforce our Altar with infantry.

Eric: Pink (Baratheon) is going for spear camps in the second line. All others are going for Trading Posts in the second line.

Anthraxus: Do we need Infantry War Camp(s), Alex?

Anthraxus: Damn, that guy has disbanded Stronghold instead of releasing troops from it.

Alex: No, it was me 🙂

Efi: Anth, seems like you are a bit nervous today, lol 🙂

Alex: Yeah, he is always nervous when something unexpected happens, hahaha! 🙂

-== First Fights ==-

And soon the first battle and scout logs started to appear: T5 troops, F5 commanders mostly at every march we met. Compared to our team without T5 and F5 at all - not a fair opponent's competitors. But we have to play with what we have.

Alex: We have captured the first WatchTower. Nice!

Anthraxus: Fast cav rally up:

Anthraxus: I recaptured our altar back. Will sit there to take it to us.

… but in 30 seconds after this Anthraxus' rally was kicked out by T5 spears with Daena, Dany and Ayrmidon:

Anthraxus: I do not like to play against such guys…

Alex: Haha! Man, you should! We have no other option now :) Lol

Anthraxus: Yes, as usual we will do our best.

Efi: I do not want to have a cav account. I want a spear or infantry!

Anthraxus: Efi, I warned you not to agree to Alex’s proposition to pilot Assida while she is on a vacation.

Efi: Yeah, you told me )))

Anthraxus: You see!

Eric: It was a trap for Efi! xD

And while we made these funny jokes we stepped into a bg trouble…

-== Faction City failure ==-

Anthraxus: Guys, we are losing our Faction City!

Alex: I kicked them out.

Eric: Need to reinforce?

Anthraxus: We need infantry troops inside with infantry commanders.

Alex: Sword can sit inside just with Inf-Spear formation.

But another guy from our team placed his random commanders inside instead of Sword's march. Then he released them and we lost the moment when NPC reinforcements joined the Faction city. But without commanders, reinforcements joined and immediately left the city 🙁

Additional moment to be nervous. And we lost Faction city again...

Alex: Kicked them out again. Also we have Sept. We can heal.

Sword: I’m running to Faction City.

Alex: Yes, with Infantry-Spear formation. Nobody interfere, please. War Camps will reinforce Sword inside.

Anthraxus: we have captured all three WatchTowers. Nice! But starting to lose our altars.

Efi: I’m going, I'm going! Working on it.

Few minutes later…

Efi: DragonPits are up!

Anthraxus: What is our target? Left, Right, Bottom one?

Alex: Not sure we can hold any against such opponents.

Anthraxus: Oops, we lost Faction City again! Alex, we need Infantry War Camps against Pink’s (Baratheon) Spear War Camps.

Alex: Kicked them out again from our Faction City. And yes, let’s rebuild one War Camp for Infantry. In the first line, camp in the middle. Please reinforce it.

Anthraxus: Should I send troops into Faction City?

Alex: Have no idea :)

Anthraxus: If not you then who knows? LoL

Anthraxus: It’s amazing that we are in 1st place in such a tough match, continuously losing our Faction City three times already and still winning!

Efi: O! Let’s go and take it, hahaha!

Alex: LOOOL

Anthraxus: No no no! 🙂 I do NOT want our guys to go to Glory City. I want other factions to fight for it and we can focus on their altars instead.

Efi: What a cunning plan! xD

Alex: Yes, it will be easier for us. Difference between our 1st place and Pinks in the 2nd place is only 4500 points!

Efi: Hope so, because right now in the altars they are killing us.

Anthraxus: True. They are stronger. They have T5, cool synergies, F5 commanders. And at the same time we are in first place!

Eric: Will it be for long? Haha!

Anthraxus: We will see 🙂

Few minutes later...

Anthraxus: Pinks (Baratheon) have captured two catapults and we have only one.

Alex: Yes, they have more Warrior altars. Their stats are just stronger than our. We need to take their “Altars of the Warrior”.

And the team started to work on it.

-== Battles for the Altar of Maiden (coins) ==-

Anthraxus: Fast cav rally up to the coins altar. Cavalry please.

Eric: Purple is taking the City of Glory, so yeah, Pink will fight there.

Alex: Do not pay attention to Purple. I think they will take the City of Glory and will take the first place because of this.

Efi: Mining Sites…

Two incoming attacks to the Altar of the Maiden.

And the results:

Anthraxus: Finally I have found an altar where I can get some kill points, lol 🙂 My rally captured coins for us! 24 minutes till the match ends.

Alex: We have captured a top right Dragon. Need infantry reinforcements there.

But quite soon we have been kicked out of Dragonpit by a T5 cav player with female synergy and strong commanders:

Efi: Lol, looks like free-to-play account 🙂

John: Yeah, xD

Anthraxus: Guys, I’ll try to attack the City of Glory. There are T5 infantry inside. Hope I can have a chance. If not, Purple will take City of Glory and be ahead of us in the ranking.

Alex: I think you can win.

Few second later:

Anthraxus: … and … I lose 🙁

Eric: And you lost badly.

Anthraxus: Yeah, not against such guys. No sense trying again. Sorry :)

Anthraxus: I will return to those Altar of the Maiden where I farmed kills. Please join my cav rally for coins.

Alex: We have 15 mins to the end. We have to focus on the Red, Pink and Cyan factions who are right below us in the ranking.

Anthraxus: Once again fast cav rally up!

… and the result is:

Anthraxus: Guys, if you have some free time, please focus on ANY opponent’s altar. Just send there one soldier, two soldiers, something. Many altars are empty. DDOS opponents.

Alex: I’m doing this for the whole match! 🙂

Efi: According to what we are facing… the place is not bad!

Alex: Yes 🙂 We are doing great! And we have all the internal buildings: WatchTowers and Catapults.

Alex: Glory City is overrated :) Look at what Anthraxus is doing! xD

Eric: Lol. Looks like this altar is very precious for the Red faction :)

Anthraxus: I love guys from the Red faction. They are giving us so many kills!

-==Final ==-

But almost to the end of the match Anthraxus missed the moment when the Red faction captured that altar back. He gathered his rally once again but it was too late. Altar bubbled. The Red faction captured it.

Anthraxus: Arrrrrgh! Sorry guys, we are out of time :( Altar bubbled.

But the Red faction’s guys freed their troops from the Altar of the Maiden and the bubble dropped right before Anthraxus’ rally approached it. And we entered the empty enemy altar. 90 seconds before the match. Not enough time to capture it, but it doesn’t matter taking into account our score in the rankings.

Not bad. Not bad at all!

Anthraxus: Guys, you are awesome! We had so many good fights today. We took second place against such opponents. It’s really amazing! Let’s continue our growth and let’s have even more fun in the next matches 🙂

Efi: Sure! 

Alex: Absolutely!

John: Yep!

Anthraxus: Thank you my friends! The match result was great!
