Arena of Honor - Season 3 Round 10 - Walking on road to destruction

After leaving the Fantastic 10 team, [N0X]Shado decided to go in solo adventures for the rest of the season but after doing round 9 solo, when he was about to leave for mercenary camp for another solo que, he got a raven from another [N0X] member that they needed 1 more member for their team and since the preparations were already made Shado decided to answer the call and joined the team. Instead of heading towards the mercenary camp he went to the team's meeting point and signed the pre-registering papers so Crystal can register the team and then everyone waited patiently for the matchmaking to be completed.

Once the matchmaking was completed the house representatives got out of the battlefield to announce what team they picked to fight in their name for this round. [N0X] team was picked by House Greyjoy and together with Theon they headed towards the North-East forests of the battlefield to set their camps and do last minute preparations before the fight begins. Shado used that time to see what other houses are up to and as soon as he got the ravens back dark clouds gathered upon House Greyjoy's Clan Castle, there were not 1 but 2 [RoD] teams on the battlefield, including their strongest team. As mostly everyone knows [N0X] ain't really on [RoD]'s Christmas list so Shado 1st thought was: oh no they going to clubber us whole match and as it turns out, he was right.

Fight started with [N0X] team fully aware that it's going to be a very hard fight, but they were decided to do their best anyway and get the best possible outcome of it. The strongholds dropped their bubble, and everyone rushed to occupy them for the 2 minutes required for them to open for construction. For this fight, [N0X] team quickly decided to go with trading posts as they are the best points generation specially with the little to no access, they going to have on altars.

Once the trading posts were built, the altars started opening and despite having the odds heavily against them, [N0X] team decided to give'it a go so VERGO, their strongest members decided to go for Altar of the Stranger and everyone from the team reinforced hoping the numbers will be enough for them to withstand the solos that were about to come. The seconds were passing and the team thought they were safe, but [RoD]Meridianos didn't agree with that and within a few seconds he sent a massive army to the altar gates. As VERGO refused to leave a battle started between the 2, but even from the first seconds it could be seen that Meridianos army was far superiorly geared

Despite all their effort [N0X] team suffered a major loss in the battle and they figured now even better that altars will be mostly out of reach for most of the fight. They decided to let [RoD] take them and then when their bubble drop try to get some of them back with low number of troop attacks. Despite agreeing with the team's decision Shado decided to challenge Mirela's spears to a battle for Altar of the Stranger. Him being infantry and Mirela being spears gave him a bit of hope, but ultimately his hopes were in vain as Mirela's troops are far superiorly equipped and her commanders are top tier compared with his.

After the crushing defeat Shado decided to not challenge anyone from the House Targaryen's team as his power was not even close to theirs and his troops would just end up being decimated. He kept scouting the battlefield for altars that weren't guarded by the strong [RoD] warriors, and it didn't take long till he found a target to attack, [HOH]Ldy Brienne and her spears were guarding Altar of the Crone. Despite her having a very good commander lineup he thought that maybe the counter will be enough, so he decided to try a solo attack. Once he arrived at the altar gates and the battle started there were heavy losses on both sides but somehow despite the commander difference Shado's infantry managed to put up a very good fight against the spears

It was 1st won battle of the round for Shado and a well needed breath of fresh air. The first half of fight went by quickly with all the other 4 houses struggling to keep any altar against House Targaryen and House Baratheon and it was now time for the City of Glory to open.

The opening of it however was mostly ignored by all the houses as there was nobody strong enough in any of the other teams to challenge House Targaryen to a battle and instead of that everyone focused on trying to squeeze every last possible point from altars to try and get the best ranking possible at the end of the fight. House Greyjoy managed to sneak a few altars here and there getting under House Targaryen's and House Baratheon's radar and ultimately their relentless unbroke will made a difference at the end of the round.

Overall, it was a very hard round, probably the hardest Shado had to fight in this season and hopefully there won't be more like it. Well-deserved 3rd place for the [N0X] team and they managed to score 10 glory points that will help everyone climb in the rankings. Will Shado's next round will be easier or harder than this one and will he be able to get a win with his new team? We'll all have to wait and see. See you all on the battlefield!
