Arena of Honor - Season 3 Round 9 - The four horsemen of apocalypse

9th round of Arena of Honor is descending upon Westeros and for [N0X]LadyKnight its most likely the last solo que adventure of the season 3 as she's set to join the Fantastic 10 team right after this round. She's hoping that she can end the solo adventures with a win after being able to get just 2 wins in the prior 8 rounds despite the consistent effort she put into the fights. Prior to the 9th round she prepared as good as she possibly could, participating in all the other Westeros events, trying to get rewards that will help her boost army stats and train top tier units. Now, as the month of april ends, time for preparations was done and it was time for battle. LadyKnight took her troops and dragons and marched towards the Mercenary Camp and upon her arrival she headed to the registration tavern to sign the participation papers. After the papers were signed, she went to the tavern and waited for the matchmaking to be completed.

Once the matchmaking was completed, the gates of battlefield opened, and everyone stepped inside to see which House has chosen them for this fight. LadyKnight got chosen by Theon to fight for the Greyjoy family in this battle, on the north-west side of the battlefield close to the frozen north. Upon arriving to House Greyjoy's Clan Castle, she noticed her team-mates and immediately noticed a slight problem. Her team only had 9 warriors instead of 10 and beside that, it was looking like half of the team, 5 warriors to be exact, were either very new and not so experienced or they were alts. Thats never a good sight in Arena of Honor as fighting a 10 man battle with just 4 warriors might prove very challenging, but that didn't discourage LadyKnight as she was ready to give everything and try to win the round.

After she got to see his team, she sent some quick scouts around the battlefield to see what other houses are up to in this round. As expected, most Houses had teams made of warriors from Mercenary Camp beside House Baratheon that had a team made of [DNa] warriors and House Stark that had a team made of [EmP] warriors. These 2 Houses would possess the highest threat to House Greyjoy on their way to 1st place.

The battle started with the first set of strongholds dropping their protection bubble and everyone from House Greyjoy rushed to occupy and reinforce them as quickly as possible, sadly for them, everyone meant 4 people as LadyKnight expected. The other 5 did a little bit of reinforcement here and there but nothing substantial. Seeing the match is going to be complicated, the commander decided to not go for military camps and instead focus on building Trading Posts as they are the safest points generating buildings and try to focus on City of Glory when it opens and maybe get the win that way.

Trading Posts were constructed just in time as altars started opening and the battle was about to heat up. LadyKnight decided to go full force with the first altars opening and she got her eyes on House Stark's Altar of the Crone, she decided to send her attack without even sending scouts first, and upon arriving at the altar gates, the arrows started flying from behind the walls, so many that it made the sunlight pale and LadyKnight spearmen prepared for the worst. Lucky for her, the arrows weren't made of valyrian steel, and her spearmen had no problem deflecting them.

After deflecting the initial attack, the spearmen managed to break the altar gates, the bowmen had no chance in close combat range, and they got massacred. Seeing he has no chance to win, LordGrey77 had to forfeit the fight and surrender the altar to the House Greyjoy. LadyKnight didn't had time to celebrate as she had to quickly recall her armies as one of the House Greyjoy's Altar of the Maiden was under severe pressure. She quickly healed her wounded and assembled another solo attack to try and retake the altar but this time not scouting first proved to be a fatal mistake for LadyKnight. Once the battle started, she noticed the enemy had way stronger commanders on his ranks and his number of troops were far superior.

She fought fiercely but despite giving her best, her commanders weren't a match for Raven Banner's commanders, and she had to admit defeat, not before inflicting some damage though. Upon leaving the altar and returning to House Greyjoy's Clan Castle, LadyKnight informed hustla, the strongest warrior in her team about the fight and hustla wasted no second, he quickly assembled his best troops and sent a devastating attack that left Raven Banner in shambles. The altar of the maiden was secured just in time as the City of Glory dropped bubble and opened for attacks.

Hustla managed to evict the neutral NPCs from the City of Glory and everyone from House Greyjoy reinforced but with just 4 warriors actually fighting it would be close to impossible to keep the city under control. As LadyKnight expected, the first rally that hit the City of Glory was far superior in both size and strength to what House Greyjoy had defending there and House Tyrell had no problem kicking House Greyjoy's forces from the City of Glory. Seeing they don't have the forces required to hold the city, an unspoken pact was made between the House Greyjoy's warriors to leave the City of Glory fighting for the other houses and instead concentrate on getting as many Altars of the Maiden as possible and aim for the 2nd place instead of trying to get 1st and possibly drop on the bottom of the rankings. Their plan worked almost flawlessly, and House Greyjoy's points started to accumulate at a way faster rate than before and they were quickly climbing the ranks

As the fight was approaching its end, they kept fighting for every altar and every dragonpit and when the horn signaling the end of battle was heard, House Greyjoy's plan change led them to a very good 2nd place considering the circumstances.

It was a very valuable very hard-fought 2nd place for the House Greyjoy, and despite wanting a win LadyKnight was more than happy with a 2nd place too, giving her another 20 glory points that boosted her total a bit over 200, just 80 behind her ultimate goal, the Glory King rank. Now she's preparing to join the team and hopefully with having a team more wins will come that will grant her better rewards. See you all on the battlefield!
