Hello again after longer break of mine from providing you exciting stories from the battlefield! Today i will try to give you a bit of a heads up from our yesterday Arena of Honor event, which was very specific i must say, because i managed to join one of the teams created by my teammates, which could resolve only in two ways, either i will face only whales, or we wont and we will do total annihilation. Which one was it ? Let's see!

Queen of the Sin? I am in!

As i was waiting for midnight to play arena of honor, i have noticed just before that, as queen of the sin, one of our rally leaders within FFS has posted her team on the chat. Without hesitation i have joined knowing how strong she is. Immediately more and more players were joiinng and filling the spots and some of them i recognized from our top lineup, like Kaiser for example. It was really good news when we found out, just before timer has ended, that Vitoo decided to join our team, which was a huge boost as he is super powerful. I was very happy and excited to finally be able to play with my teammates in this event! Obviously neither Vitoo or QotS were using my troops but not a problem as i have managed to do enough T5 troops to reinforce any type of rally!

Is it too late for strategy?

It is never too late to discuss the tactics. As soon we have completed the team QotS started discussing what kind of troops should we take and the approach we should focus on. I was just listening as one of many grey soldiers being lead by the heroes such as QotS or Vitoo, I did not mind, as end of the day I knew they also lead us in the FFS so It was obvious they know what they are doing/saying.

The approach was to bring 2mln CAV’s and 1mln SPEAR or, 1mln of each INF/SPEAR/CAV, as we also had Dungaan Stark which was representing infs. I must say our team looked quite good, Vitoo, QotS, Only Kaiser, Dungaan Stark or even Frozor. Seems like we have answer to any type of enemy, and this is far better preparation than we could ever dispute in the channel.

Time to enter the Arena!

As soon we have entered the arena, scouts have began, obviously, I started chasing from team to team to check who are we facing, and as it seems, my first pick, was the strongest one, located just next to us. This is purely because it had combination of HOH members and an WxC Commander Ton.

We usually are in good relations with HOH so I did not expect a big bloodbath between us, probably who does better would be let to do their thing, however, it is always exciting to know we have another difficult opponent within the competition. In other teams, I could notice some other FFS members, and then my attention has been dragged by Green, where… I could see.. Well see for yourself

Yes it is one of the warriors representing HD! Which just 2 hours prior to Arena, have played against us in SoW playoffs, where we have been victorious! This has added additional spicy as definitely this player wanted to get his revenge, but hey.. we were not about to let this happen!

Like in every Arena of Honor, first part is to capture the camps and turn them as per your team strategy to either troop camps or trade camps. People usually go for trade camps, which doesn’t require that much of a fight unless you are up there to fight for the glory castle, then you would go for the troops camps, and that is what we did! First line QotS decided to put all of them as spear camps!

Once we captured them and turned in to level 3 our focus has been brought to the second part of camps where we have been ordered to wait a bit to see what enemy will pick, following which the order came ‘CAV CAMPS!’ and that was it, we knew, that Vitoo and QotS will play vital role within this challenge.

As we thought the game will go smoothly and everything will go fine, one of our secondary camps

Has been recalled while occupation process, and we had to start all over again, which put us very behind to all the other teams not making this mistake, but QotS quickly made us motivated and said to focus on the strategy, which we did, it is good to have good leader behind your back.

Back to the Arena

I was staying quiet and doing my thing till the altars have opened, that is when I started participating more, sharing reports of various enemies and hitting them myself obviously. I couldn’t do much for the first couple of minutes because… everywhere I looked, it was ours! My team was not living any prisoners, straight forward assassination!

Just later enemy started to focus on us, which was different approach as ideally if they would focus on each other, could gain some additional points by deducting them from enemies, while with us, all they could count on is a short period of their flag waving over the altar, before we send there troops and it is back ours.

The altar wars have started weird for me as I was trying all kind of combinations in this game, considering some of enemies were not super strong but were represented by counter to my spears, I had to use different troops and hope for good result.

Which obviously was aimed by other enemies looking for easy elimination points!

And as much most of the battle was full of me taking over altars from enemies who send 11 troops, 69 troops and so on, so pretty borring stuff, sometimes I had my little battles which made me keep going, such as dragon pit hit, which you can see below!

We controlled most of the map, all the strategical positions, dragon pits, towers, catapults, and a big bunch of altars. There was nothing happening to us, we had our first place, and the difference to the 2^nd place, kept growing. This is when Glory city has opened, and let me tell you, we were there, waiting for it!

As soon the glory city opened for attacks, Vitoo soloed it and just like that took it over.

QotS started focusing on pushing us to send all our cavs to reinforce him, which we did, and that was pretty much the end of the game for everyone else, as nobody could fight Vitoo…

Everything was looking great and we have secured the Glory City, so our troops could return home for 4+ minutes, and have some fun with altars and so on.

Obviously I was not waiting too long and kept attacking various enemies to test my strength, as you can see this player had 2 legendary commanders yet still the battle was quite even, I liked it!

And as soon I was enjoying myself hitting altars, QotS took one, and asked for reinforce, I was wondering why, as seems they don’t really attack her, but hey, I realised quickly what was the reason for it!

It was very exciting to sometimes win, sometimes lose fights for altars, as it made me keep going while if I would only win it would be borring, and if I would only lose, I would get demotivated. This is why I like AoH event, as everyone can fight against everyone, there is no huge disadvantage, as once the big fishes focus on the City of Glory, we can focus on other ways to gain points!

The 4+ minutes passed and our cavs have returned to Glory City, where another rallies kept coming!

But like I said, nobody stand a chance, Vitoo was just too strong, too ruthless, too overpowered! It did not take long for everyone to just stop attacking our glory city, and that is why I focused with my spears on the Mine shafts which just opened! And obviously Dragon pits too!

Game was pretty much over, and there was not much to do anymore, our difference in points was so huge we could literally leave the game and still would end first, but that was not us, we never show any disrespect to the enemies, so… lets keep going!

We have noticed that our NPC troops from Glory city have taken over some trading posts of enemies, so purely for fun, as we did not need it anymore, we have decided to reinforce them, and see if we can make it even more difficult for some of the teams, or, will they fight back?

It did not work out but gave us a bit of a fun while waiting for the end of the event. I have decided also to hit few more altars, as I still had few speedups left from the AoH shop.

Result

The game was pure ownage, and nobody could deal with our team. Definitly they made a mistake to go against us rather than against each other as the point difference between all the other teams was that small that ever y takeover of altars could make the difference in final results. Shame on their tactics, but hail to our leaders which got us an astonishing result. Remember dear warriors, no matter how much pride you have, or how much courage you show during your countless battles, sometimes it is good to get humble and listen to your leaders as directed by someone experienced in the battlefield, they can juice your battle skills like an orange juice which we will definitely drink, following the victorious battle!
