Arena of Honor 

Season 2, Round 14.

After a very successful round last time out with the new team, they offered us to stick with them for another round,so we better not let them down! :D This round the Old Gods put us in House Targaryen! 

As the event is about to begin, we all prepare ourselves with Battle gear, talents and skins then hop onto the map to form our hive and wait for the timer to countdown to zero for the start of the match. Everyone is assigned to specific roles by our leader, Lourdess, which was key to our success in the previous round! 

The clock ticks down for the final few seconds... 5,4,3,2,1, GO! And we all set off to capture the first row of strongholds and reinforce each other to speed up the construction time. AryyellE takes charge of the Clan Castle and asks for reinforcements. When the time came, we chose to go with all Trade posts at the strongholds. With it being a fairly strong match up, we figured it could be difficult to hold onto the City for long enough.

Soon it was time for the second row of strongholds, and was asked by our Leader, Lourdess, to place more Trade camps. Now we have a full set of Trade Posts to accumulate more points! Next on the to-do list was to take all the Altars we possibly could, all of the ones from in front of our hive AND steal from the enemy sections.

I was about to take some Altars from our part of the map, but the team was well on top of this already, arrows from my teammates' marches were heading towards them already… so I took it to the enemy parts of the map. I started off by scouting some of House Lannister and House Greyjoy’s Altars. The Altar of Maiden was asked to take as priority, so that's what I set my sights on. There was a spearman account sitting inside one of them with unfinished commanders and a low amount of troops, so I sent my weakness spearmen line up to march in on the Altar as quickly as they could go, before my target gets away! My army crashed into the Altar, dismantling the army with ease. After successfully taking the altar, the enemy wanted it back.. Marches began to come towards me so I braced myself for the attacks…. Luckily for me, one was cavalry, a strong cavalry account, but the counter was in my favour! And second was a Tier 4 spearman account.. And I held on until it bubbled and we got the buff!  

After we had all captured a good amount of Altars, the dragon pits came available. I took one of them , but 5 seconds later I was yeeted back out of there by a Tier 5 infantry account named Rockamour. DiaBoLuS took another but was more successful and managed to keep it, after fending off the enemy.

We were gathering up a good amount of points, sitting comfy in 2nd place. UNTIL…. WE LOSE THE CLAN CASTLE!!!! Our focus was all on everything other than our Clan castle. Our troops ran low and no one checked to see if they needed to be refilled! House Greyjoy took advantage of this and their continuous attacks eventually got them what they wanted! This dropped us back to 4th place… but it wasn't long before we recaptured and reinforced. 

After we secured the Clan castle again, we went back to taking more altars for a short while before the City came available. I scouted 2 enemy Altar of maiden’s , and they were both empty of troops so I took my shot and sent my troops in, hoping that no one would see me go for it.. But i was out of luck!! I had been spotted on both of them!! And they decide to attack me.. They did not scout me but attacked blindly, luckily for me 1 was a T4 spearman, the other T4 cavalry. 

Leader Lourdess notices the City’s bubble had dropped and commanded Lord Dimebag to take it. So Lord Dimebag sets up the rally and awaits reinforcements.  Once it was full he marched towards the City, still occupied by the NPC’s ,it was an easy victory! 

Now we do our best to hold on as long as possible.. All who couldn't join the rally sent troops directly to the city to reinforce. 3 rallies come towards us, first a Cavalry rally with a strong Female line up.. Victory!! Second - a spearman rally… Victory!! But the third rally , a Strong Infantry rally.. Countered and killed us! 

We continued to try at the city but the outcome was the same.. Attack, win, hold for a few rallies and lose again…. This wasn't doing us any favours, the enemy teams below us were catching us in second place… We tried our best to hold on at the City, but no one- even the enemy teams couldn't hold it long enough to capture. So we decided to change focus back to everything but the City. 

Meanwhile, House Lannister was doing a good job at the city after we gave up trying for it, they managed to capture and hold it long enough for it to bubble.. This put us too far behind to catch up now, they're almost double our points at over 100K score! We have a small lead, 9k more than 3rd place- if we can hold on to second place for the final 15 minutes, we thought it would be another good result! 

Now it all comes down to the mine shafts.. If House Tyrell gets in a couple of  them and cleans them of points we could end up falling down the table below them.. So we all needed to focus purely on those mine shafts now.. Each of us took 1 mine , some even took 2 and we all reinforced each other with as many troops as we could. Even though we were unable to keep hold of all of them, we kept enough and gathered up enough points to just about hold on to second place! 

3 games with the new team! 3 top 3 finishes!! :D  It can't get much better than that! :)
