Dear all,

Today I will take you back to one of the most anticipated weeks of the whole year, a Glorious Battle week. As the alliance, SFu enjoys playing together most of the events but Glorious Battle happens to be the most favourite cross server event of the majority of the members. For Lux herself, this was the first Glorious Battle in Sfu alliance so she was extremely excited to test her war stats as well as to see how she blends with the rest of the team considering the fact that there are not many bow players in the alliance overall. Even before the even started, long before, Lux has started to build the troops specifically for the event. Besides bow troops she has been training many cavs and spears for the extra merit points, but also to clear her account of non bow troops since it’s well known fact that the bow players should remain pure bows.

As the registration has started, there were many different options to choose: Super League, A league or B league. Choosing Super League would mean being in a fraction with extremely strong alliances where majority of our members would just be in the logistics mode from the very beginning, losing an opportunity for the elimination awards and any possible merit… A league seemed very promising, considering the fact that SFu is an alliance with almost 140 Billion power, however honestly, a lot of our members would not be able to take it so B league was the right option for us. Thus far, Lux being the younger player (since February 2023) never really played Glorious Battle in offensive nor defensive mode. She was always relying on the logistics since she was aware her account was not quite ready just yet. This time it was different. She had 15 million troops, decent bow attack/health/defence stats and quite a good weapons for each bow commander. She knew she would start as logistic player but after anything was possible.

Finally the day has come, the long awaited event has started! The game has assigned SFu to Shadow Fraction together with other few alliances. One of them were tSB (The Slavs Blood), our former SoW enemies. Knowing how strong they were, everyone was very please to play together. So it begins.. as majority of the members waited for the reset, Lux included, the council gave an order for trade. Everyone was happily trading waiting for the new cities to open. The other two fractions seemed overall weaker, however they both had representative members from DŮM and FFS so we knew right away this was not going to be an easy week.

As the buildings were opening one by one, Shadow Fraction was very was taking them quickly and easily which placed us on top of the ranking list. Lux was balancing between logistics and offensive mode trying to collect the points, however she knew that once the actual fights start, it was not going to be as easy. So as another day has passed by, and the opportunity for the attacks opened, we have started having our first battles. The first one to declare the war was the Longreach Fraction. They have declared the battles for the military city and the merchant city almost at the same time. Finally! Lux thought, finally she will be able to gear up in war outfit and test her current commander lineup. As everyone else got ready, so did Lux, as she send 4 deployments into both cities patiently waiting for the ballets to start. Five minutes have passed, then 10 minutes too. Alright they are just sending the armies now, Lux was thinking as her armies were already stationed in the castles. However, unfortunately only few brave players from Longreach Fraction were sent. They encountered the „early birds“ of Shadow Fraction who came to the cities as soon as the battle were announced. All of the Longreach Fraction players were eliminated quickly which allowed the Shadow Fraction to keep the first position. It’s fine, Lux was thinking, there will be more battles for her to get into some PvP encounters. All she was able to do is release big sign and change to logistics mode yet again. The rest of the members were also little frustrated as only three-four players got some merit and Elimination Rush points.

The new days has dawned on us and voila this time it was Tempest Fraction who challenged the Shadow Fraction. Yaaaay everyone cheered, let’s go! Now Tempest fraction had DŮM and FFS players so we did know they wouldn't go down without the fight. Here we go again! As Lux yet again changed her mode from logistics to defensive, she was even more hopeful for some proper combat fights.

Let’s gooo! Tempest Fraction attacked the Military City near Glorious City with full force. Even our strongest players were falling against PZE Olivia and FFS Maiae. Lux just like the rest, kept on sending her best bow setup followed by the T3 and T4 bowmen troops but everytime it would result in a defeat. Oh well, at least some merit, she was thinking as she used all the possible healing speed ups for the rest of the survivors. The time was passing by VladanSRB and Dark Pegasus from SFU have arrived to the Fortress 6, making it impossible for the enemy to win this one. Yet another siege of the enemy ended without the success. Everyone was quite satisfied as the Glorious city was opening in just a few hours.

The time has come and finally the BIG moment has arrived! Glorious City was up for the taking. Since Shadow fraction owned majority of the cities around, the Glorious City was taken without no issue. Lux did not participate in the siege on the Glorious City, as she was waiting 24 hours of the logistics mode to pass. That was the moment when everyone in Shadow Fraction knew, we needed to get together as one and defend the Glorious City for all the upcoming attacks.

The very next day, 5th day of the event both Shadow and Tempest fractions declared the war on the Glorious City within 1 hour difference. This was the true test for all of us, knowing that both FFS and DŮM players will be there. As the clock was ticking, the time has come to defend the Glorious City. Unfortunately, at the time of the scheduled battle, many of the players of Shadow Fraction were not able to participate due to the the time differences, Lux included, so the Tempest Fraction had no issue to defeat Shadow Fraction and také over the City of Glory. As soon as that happens, Shadow Fraction was no longer leading fraction on the ranking list, however, the council made the decision to declare the war on Glory City right away, after previously consulted with the members about the best possible battle timing. The agreement was reached and whole Shadow Fraction agreed to be war ready and regain the Glorious City for the definite time.

As we entered the 6th day of the event, Lux already completed contribution points which granted her the awards so she had no problem switching yet again to offensive mode and the war gear. Maybe if I send more T3 troops this time, I won’t have that many losses she was thinking. After consulting the council members she finally decided to send approximately 100k of t3 instead of previously 50k and the rest would be all T4.

Finally the time has come.. Shadow Fraction siege on Glorious City has started. As agreed, all the strongest players were lined up, waiting to kill the enemies. Originally Shadow Fraction expected enemy to show up in large numbers which surprisingly did not happen. So yet again, Shadow Fraction was able to re-také the Glorious city and with that the top ranking of the event.

The last day of the event has started.. Both Tempest and Longreach Fractions have declared the war on not only Glorious City but also four others surrounding cities at the same time.

Can we pull it off…Two fractions with multiple alliances mean twice as many opponents attacking at the same time. Having this in mind, the council of the Shadow Fraction has made a decision.. All forces are ought to go to the Glorious City regardless of what happens to the military cities around. The event was ending in 8 hours so we really did not have time but to defend the Glorious City with all power.

Everyone was war ready, waiting in the Glorious City for the battle and for the strongest formations that enemies were about to send. Lux sent the four armies, pure bows with her bow commander formations but also almost finished female synergy combination. This is going to work she taught, there is many more enemies so she will be there in line once the enemy hits.

As the clock has shown 4pm CET the battles have started. The Glorious City was hit by Tempest Fraction as the military cities were hit by the Shadow fraction.. quite a clever tactics but can it beat Shadow Fraction? Let’s see…

Together DŮM and FFS members were lining up, one after another one, making huge damages to the Shadow Fraction. At one point, DŮM were on the top of the list and no one from Shadow Fraction wanted to send an army directly to the Glorious City since they knew they would be erased. Well no one besides VladanSRB, Dark Pegasus and StankoSRBLFC. One by one, they kept sending their troops to the Glorious City meanwhile the rest were waiting impatiently to see what will happen. At that point, there were already over 40 enemy troops in the Glorious City and the time was ticking. Finally Stanko’s army arrived eliminating few of the DŮM members, however, it was too early to celebrate.. FFS members were still there.. Both VladanSRB and Dark Pegasus managed to eliminate quite a few but it was not enough. The enemy was still piling up and threatening to take the Glorious City..of well, until tSB Astro came.

With ease Astro defeated all the enemies with their super strong accounts, clearing the way for the smaller accounts to find their way to Glorious City and ensure some elimination points. One of them was Lux too. As she reached Glorious City she was waiting and the wait paid off.. This time she did not encounter any of the DŮM/FFS players so she was even able to achieve 9 kill streak and tons of merit. She was also able to obtain all of the Elimination Rush awards and place into Top 50 Elimination Points ranks in her fraction. What a success… She even sent the other troops to military cities beating the Longreach Fraction players earning even more elimination points. Wow finally she fought.. both merit and awards, a dream come true.

In fear of Astro, VladanSRB and the rest, the FFS/DŮM players stopped sending their forces which meant that the battle is over! Shadow Fraction didn’t only save the Glorious City but all the cities around, earning the title of the winner and securing the awards for all of the fraction members. Even smaller accounts were happy due to the fact that they managed to finally get some PvP experience and not hide in the shadow of the strongest accounts. With only 3 hours to go until the end, it was clear that Shadow Fraction was the winner of this Glorious battle.

Lux was quite overjoyed mostly because she nicely blended with the rest of the SFu members, she obtained most of the awards and more importantly reached the number of 30 million merit points allowing her to advance her nobility ranks. Thank goodness she taught, I fought bravely and finally I will have some deserved rest… But dud she get some rest from the fighting? As she was sleeping in peace she did not have clue that the Night King and his army were just about to attack the Kingdom of 226.

How much success did SFu have fighting the Night King? Was Lux finally happy with her bow setup? Did bows work well against the Night King’s army?

Stay tuned…

Your truly,

Lux Crownguard
