Arena of Honor - Season 2 Round 11 - The pursuit for glory

We are on a November Sunday now, Winter is coming as Jon Snow told us and its time for another round of Westeros's most liked event, Arena of Honor. The sun has set already its almost dark outside and the [N0X] knights got around the table to strategize but they noticed they are in very small number and instead they found a few letters on the table, namely 2, one from the team leader Leandra De and one from their strongest members, VERGO. Upon reading them they found out that VERGO had to make an important trip to King's Landing to discuss war against the white walkers with Cersei, as for Leandra De she had time to just write: Sorry, i can't make'it for this fight. Being confused and with little time to decide what to do next, the rest of [N0X] team decided to go solo for this one round. LadyKnight knew from Shado where the mercenary camp is so she took her dragon and flew directly there as it was no time to search for a team.

Upon reaching the mercenary camp LadyKnight quickly signed the registering form and got ready for the fight. It was now 18:30 and the draft started. After quick 5 minutes LadyKnight was able to see the team she's going to fight along, for the House Greyjoy this time, along her she had [RnY]Tomsnow, [NW3]YOG SOTHOTH, [LEG]Moammna, [DUM]nihat bayrak, [BxS]mike11, [NW1]Bunicutz, [UTB]Goltis, [N2D]sugimon and [FFS]Puppypower.

On the other sides of the battlefield, we had teams formed from other mercenaries too, House Targaryen led by [WWW]metaKLON, House Tyrell led by [NWL]MIMIC, House Lannister led by [NWL]White Llama, House Baratheon led by [KIK]Alice and House Stark led by [GEA]Bodai. As none of the teams looked to be very strong compared with the other teams it was announced to be a very good match with anything happening being possible.

Match started as 18:40 sharp with opening of strongholds and House Tyrell encountered a bit of a problem at start due to the lack of the way to communicate between team members, upon occupation of the strongholds, most members decided to buy trading posts but one of them decided to go for bowman military camp. This is generally a bad thing cause having only a few military camps aint good enough to make NPC attacks strong and also diminishes team's points per minute.

Without a way to notice him the match continued like that and after a few minutes the next set of strongholds opened along with the first altar, LadyKnight occupied the first altar and it wasn't contested so it went into House Greyjoy's possession. On the other hand the team encountered the same problem they had on the first set of strongholds, another few bowman camps were build. The team decided to get over it as there was nothing the rest could do and continue with the match.

Fight was quite calm and quiet, unusual thing for LadyKnight, till more altars opened and then there were some brave warriors from other houses that tried to take House Greyjoy altars, like [Bwb]Zephrys that sent his infantry on. LadyKnight as a spear commander noticed that the opponent didn't had any synergy on his commanders and despite her main march being busy elsewhere she decided to do a surprise attack that proved successful.

However Zephrys wouldn't just let that lose go and he quickly sent his main infantry march to eliminate LadyKnight's spears and to no surprise he was successful.

As the team got close to the half time mark, it was now time for the City of Glory to open and with a good chance to take'it, [FFS]puppypower which the team considered their banner, quickly started a rally on the city. The reinforcements came in quickly and the rally was launched, upon hitting the rally was successful and the fight to keep'it for the 4 minutes needed to occupy 'it started.

Of course, the other teams wouldn't just give up and let House Greyjoy have 'it so a wave or rallies from the other houses started. The House Greyjoy was however decided to transform this fight into a win so they did their best to keep the reinforcement top notch. With catapults being held by other houses it wasn't an easy task, as they kill 5% of the troops in the city of glory every minute per catapult.

This setback wasn't just make the team abandon the the City of Glory so another rally was quickly made by Puppypower in an attempt to recover the city. The rally was successful and then the operation keep reinforcing was restarted. It went better this time, all the the rallies the were coming from the enemies were deflected by the team reinforcements and House Greyjoy managed to occupy the City of Glory.

With 6 minutes left of the fight the team lost the City of Glory again and LadyKnight had a deja vu from the last match and thought they going to lose the City of Glory again and along with it the win so she tried to do a solo on it but it ended very badly. Luckily Puppypower quickly assembled a rally and he retook the City of Glory in time and House Greyjoy got to keep 'it till the end of the fight. This ensured a well deserved win for LadyKnight and House Greyjoy and despite not having a way to communicate everyone was surely very happy with the result.

For LadyKnight it was the first victory on quite a long time, she took the 42 glory points along with the rewards for being first place as a team and the coins rewarded for being 4th in eliminations rankings and 8th in healing rankings, she got on her dragon and flew back to [N0X] homebase. Hopefully the [N0X] team will be reassembled for the next fight but if not fighting on mercenaries side isn't looking too bad. We'll all have to wait and see how the next round goes.
