More benefits, more surprises
The sun rose over the massive stadium, its golden rays shining off the steel bodies of warriors assembled near the sandy beach of Dorne. The arena was an emblem of war’s chaos, its sands rife with history. It would be today home to yet another clash of houses each battling for possession of the legendary City of Glory.
In the middle, the banners of six royal houses floated in the hot wind: House Baratheon, House Targaryen, House Stark, House Tyrell, House Greyjoy and House Lannister.
The audience erupted when the players marched out onto the stage. Yahweh of House Baratheon, in her battle-armored armor, strode with the solemn authority of a Queen warrior. Behind her were Baba Voss, a warrior of unparalleled strength, and Rony, the shrewd strategist whose tricks were shared in power suites. Yahweh is a powerful, hot-headed queen, her aura majestic and domineering. Together with Draco, her sworn dragon, she is as magical as she is strategic. Yahweh leads her men with courage and wisdom, leading them through even the direst times. Her determination to secure the City of Glory propels her to tackle obstacles head-on and, in some cases, to stand shoulder to shoulder.
Baba Voss is the great warrior of House Baratheon, fierce and uncompromising in his strength and loyalty. His stature and skill at warfare make him a pillar of honor, especially among his valiant female calvary commanders. From his eyes to his voice, Baba Voss was handsome. He has a sense of honor, and he is a man who fights not just for himself, but for the sake of his fellowmen.
The other house lined up across the arena:
Raimund and Nidos of House Stark, both wearing wolf fur, possessed an icy gaze. Raimund is a powerful, experienced leader, His big voice echoes as much as it shouts. He is the embodiment of House Stark strength, a warrior whose indomitable spirit spurs his soldiers to battle through any challenge. Raimund is a cunning as well as tough general, one who favors discipline and cohesion above all else.
Nidos is the spear-wielding genius. He is the rapid and precise alternative to Raimund’s power. Well-adjusted and quick on his feet, Nidos easily outruns and outthinks the opposition. He fights with a beauty that turns the arena into his stage, each step carefully choreographed for maximum impact.
House Lannister’s trio – Aysun, the sniping duelist, 8JonSnow, the shadow-man, and ccku, a vicious fighter. They stood side by side, their glittering lion symbol reflecting light.
Aysun is the architect of House Lannister’s battle strategy, Aysun’s ruthlessness outweighs her unwavering trust. She relishes tyranny, outthinking her enemies even before swords are drawn. Her leadership keeps House Lannister one step ahead, a perfect mixture of intelligence and vicious drive.
8JonSnow is a merciless savage. He is a manifestation of House Lannister’s bravado and violence. 8JonSnow is a master swordsman whose uncanny power and fearless resolve make him the spearhead of any Lannister assault. His devotion to the house is unflinching, and he inspires and intimidates on the battlefield.
Ccku is deadly he terrifies his opponents. From obscure vantages, ccku’s arrows pour down with deadly vehemence, disrupting the enemy plans and demoralizing their army.
The center of the map is where the City of Glory is located. The city will periodically launch attacks against all clans that are not allies. Each house has a clan castle. The Clan castle also launches attacks on other Clan castles. After occupying the clan castle House Stark occupies the strongholds surrounding the Clan castle. The strongholds can be transformed into trading post, offensive camp or defensive camp. The first capture is two hundred points while continuing occupation is ten points per minute. We decided to turn the strongholds into trading posts. This will continuously generate points. The more troops deployed the faster the upgrade speed. The higher the buildings level the faster the rate of point production.
Next, we run to capture our altars and even the altars of the other houses: All altars’ first capture is two hundred points. Altar of the Father by occupying it increases the players’ troop attack, defense or health. Altar of the Warrior increases the Clan castle’s troop attack, defense or health. Altar of the Stranger grants a random buff. Altar of the Maiden grant point yield boost. Altar of the Smith grants gathering speed bonus. Finally, Altar of the Crone increases troops’ attack, defense or health.
A horn sounded, and the war began.
The arena was unrest in the purest sense of the word, a rolling hoard of warriors struggling to control their clan castles, strong holds and altars. The flags of both sides rose, the sky echoed with the clanging of iron and the crying of warriors.
When the horn went off, the battlefield went into disorder. Yahweh sent her men to a nearby altar, her words piercing the noise of battle. Draco flew high above, his flaming air laying out a path for her men.
"Set your attention on the altars!" “Let’s get first capture.” Yahweh screamed, authority in her voice. Baba Voss stayed close, slaughtering anyone who ventured on her side.
Alliances shifted as the conflict unfolded. House Lannister and House Stark spared bitterly around the Altar of the Father. Baba Voss fought with Yahweh, one in front of the other, with their pace exactly set.
‘Excellent,’ Baba Voss said as Yahweh put a spear through a Lannister knight in one quick, lethal gesture.
"The compliments come after we win this match," she joked, but her smile indicated laughter.
As the timer counts down the Sept of the Seven, then the mining shaft and the Dragonpits soon appear for capture and occupation. Sept of the Seven increases the healing speed of the occupying fractions wounded soldiers by one hundred percent. Mine Shaft there are only two thousand points to be generated. The higher the level and quantity of deployed troops the faster the points are generated. Occupying the Dragonpit grants the benefit of adding a dragon to the troops from the Clan castle.
In the thick of the action, House Stark’s spears marched like a tide. Raimund spoke orders, his voice a calling card. “Go for their altars! Attack their Dragonpits!" All around him, Stark’s troops moved like one person, spears glinting in perfect harmony. On his side, Nidos charged at full velocity, his spear jiggling as he dodged and attacked at razor-sharp precision. Together they built a wall of iron that turned away everyone who tried to walk by.
House Lannister brought their terrifying combination of rigor and might to the battlefield. Aysun, standing on a high hill, orchestrated the devastation with uneasy stillness, demanding accurate shots at soft targets. 8JonSnow, the steel whirlwind took the lead, blazing through the opposition’s defenses with violent aggression. Ccku dropping devastating blows, each landing on its target and causing an uproar among their opponents. Their timing was impeccable, a ballet of death where no one was safe.
Now the time has come to rally the City of Glory. The City of Glory will launch an attack every two minutes against a non-ally stronghold, trading post, offensive camp and defensive camp. After occupying, the faction can gain ten percent of all the other clans’ points. The first capture is twelve hundred points and occupation is three hundred points per minute.
During the fight, Yahweh was surrounded by Stark spearmen. "Baba!" she screamed, her voice unshakeable in the face of danger. When Baba Voss heard her scream, he ordered his horses to rush her and crushed the Stark barrier. Meanwhile, Rony’s spearmen made a timely assault, breaking up the Stark army and leaving Baba to join Yahweh’s side.
"My Queen," Baba said, walking over to her, "I’m not going to leave you on your own." Yahweh nodded, the couple having a short, meaningful conversation.
“Let’s play, then.’ She held up her burning sword.
The trio with Baba’s power, Rony’s wit and Yahweh’s guidance cut a path across the advancing Stark army, their joint performance a triumph of faith and cooperation.
At the heart of the conflict, House Baratheon fought mercilessly. Baba Voss led his women’s horses, who roared as his soldiers crashed into the Stark formation, their lances splintering shields and fracturing lines. Move!’ he shouted, smashing through the rubble with his huge sword.
On the other side, Rony flung his spears with lethal precision, his squad on either side of House Stark’s lines. Each spear he fired brought down another Stark warrior, opening doors for the horses to use.
Yahweh stood with Draco the shadow of the dragon dominating the field. On Yahweh’s cue, Draco began a hailstorm, cutting off Lannister’s advancing forces. “Rony, hold the line! Baba, gather yourselves round my spot!" Yahweh’s words cut through the murmur, drawing her army into focus with a clarity that fueled their efforts.
Stark troops, fueled by their leader’s shout of unified will, rushed forth with a new determination. Nidos, who moved like a shadow over the group, destroyed Rony and Yahweh spears. House Baratheon ranks already straining under the relentless bombardment collapsed under Stark’s collective aggression.
House Lannister, across the field, attempted to capture the City of Glory in a last-ditch effort, but Aysun’s precision is foiled by Stark’s spear wall. The rigid House Stark armies wouldn’t allow 8JonSnow to charge with such recklessness.
Facing defeat, Yahweh called a truce. “Fall back! She shouted, her voice hard as she shook. Baba Voss, bloodied but bowed, rallied the remaining calvary. With his last spear thrown in resistance, Rony killed a Stark bannerman and fled to safety.
At the end of the battle, House Baratheon’s troops assembled outside the arena. Yahweh, Draco by her side, addressed her generals. "We fought with dignity," she said, her tone clear. "Today was not our day, but our troops will be restored, and we will fight again.”
Stark’s banner hung overhead, in the centre of the arena, symbolizing their determination. Raimund, amidst his victorious spearmen, laid down his weapon and looked around the battlefield. "A tough fight," he told Nidos, who sat by his side, his spear at his shoulder.
"House Baratheon did very well," Nidos replied, nodding to the retreating soldiers. "But eventually discipline and unity won out".
Raimund clasped his comrade’s shoulder. "It’s a victory for House Stark, but enemies deserve respect.”
As the arena calmed, the other houses celebrated Stark’s triumph. Yahweh, on the outskirts of the field of battle, was looking out at the City of Glory beyond.
"We almost made it," Baba Voss said, standing beside her. He spoke with a mixture of displeasure and praise.
‘More so than they thought,’ Yahweh said, with a small smile. She looked up at him with perseverance in her eyes. “Next time, we’ll be do better. I am happy to get to play by your side.”
During the match we were just overpowered by the other houses with T5s and their commander synergies. We definitely fought hard but we had fun. We must be faster in filling the rallies and sending them. Also, instead of only going for Glory City we should have try to make up points other places. Taking more altars of the opponent and switching the trading posts quickly to counter the catapult and watch tower. These are lessons learned for the next Arena of Honor.
