More benefits, more surprises
The Arena of Honor season continued to motivate all the warriors of Westeros! Lord Boness already held the title of King, and although it was far away, the title of King of Glory was the next desired level (although he recognized that it is extremely difficult).
After a relatively consistent start, in which he achieved great results even participating in AoH in random teams, Lord Boness joined the "kill team". Together, the team achieved overwhelming results, including an epic victory, in which they surpassed 200k points (An Epic Victory in the Arena of Honor).
Another challenge was approaching, and small adjustments were necessary. But the team's strategy remained consistent. The clan's leadership would be exercised by [sRH] Lord FrankTU, who masterfully coordinated the group, while Lord Boness and Lord Shock would be tasked with trying to dominate the city of Glory (GC). Alongside these ranks, Lord Merlinchaos, Lord SoulMonarck and Mulan also stood out, whose forces added a decisive role to the team.
After the match, the team would defend House Targaryen. A quick glimpse into the enemy ranks showed some warriors already faced in previous battles. Among them was Belwas, whose cavalry proved challenging for Lord Boness's infantry. Still, everyone was confident that the team's cohesion would lead them to another favorable result. For Lord Boness in particular, if he managed to get another 42 points, he could reach the top 300 in the overall ranking.
At the start of the match, the initial actions were limited to building infantry and cavalry fortifications, following the team's strategy. A quick maximization of such constructions was also essential. At this point, it was important to evaluate the enemy's actions. And the "kill team" realized that the Lannister and Baratheon clans displayed coordination at this stage, and these clans would focus on cavalry and infantry, respectively.
The next step would be to take over the altars, especially the Warrior and Father altars, following the aggressive strategy. The Watchtower's dominance corresponded to the next step. And soon, Lord Boness watched his team take 2nd place in the ranking. He remained optimistic with the standard strategy!
To ensure a flow of points, attention was also given to the Mines.
At this time, the team's score remained consistent, and the dispute for control of the altars was bloody. Lord Boness watched his secondary line being hit by [bOw] Le Galopin, and retaliated by sending his main line up. The clash between both infantry was deafening, but Lord Boness' troops prevailed.
The occupation of the Dragon Wells allowed them to take the lead with a slight advantage.
The key moment would be to take over the catapults, which play a fundamental role in trying to dominate the GC. They saw the Lannister clan take control of the catapults, but later Lord Boness's team managed to take over one of them.
Finally, the bubble of the City of Glory fell, attracting the attention of all members on the battlefield! The air was charged with tension as all the warriors on the battlefield hopefully coveted such dominance.
At this point, Lord Boness and the other members began a series of mobilizations. They noticed that the enemy was also willing to conquer it. Each attack weakened the NPC barrier. Lord Boness waited for the others to launch their initial attacks, and then sent out his mobilization. The tension reached its peak.
Slowly, the troops marched across the battlefield. The sound of the horses' hooves was softened by the snow that continued to fall. The warriors' shouts of motivation drowned out all other sounds. The clash of metal against metal as they hit the GC was equally deafening. After holding his breath for a few seconds, he realized that he had managed to conquer it.
The subsequent challenge would be even more difficult. Resisting the attacks of all the enemy clans. Lord Boness silently observed his troops arrayed in front of the City wall. They needed these points to regain the lead since they had been overtaken by House Stark.
The impact of the enemy waves was brutal. Lord Belvas and Lord Cathan's troops were decimated. Subsequent attacks continued to be repelled. Everyone on the team watched each attack apprehensively. It would take a long time until the protective bubble appeared.
Suddenly screams echoed across the field, and he saw new enemy hosts approaching. The sound of enemy cavalry echoed through the City walls. Lord Boness remained resolute, and nodded to the commander of his troops, Lady Sinara, whom he trusted would bleed any enemy who dared to invade the walls. But unfortunately, [Sid] Lord M4C's cavalry devastated the troops that were still resisting inside the City.
The strategy would then be to retake the GC, or at least prevent any other clan from having control of it until the protective bubble appeared. All the warriors shared the same objective, and no clan could hold the City of Glory for long enough. But to Lord Boness's bewilderment, the lead was becoming distant, and House Greyjoy threatened the second place.
The efforts that Lord Boness and the others spent to try to take over the GC were proving fruitless, and since they neglected other sources of points, they gave up another position. With the opening of the mines, Lord Boness headed to that point in order to guarantee an additional source of points. But even so, they remained at a disadvantage, and remained only in third place. Controlling the City of Glory seemed impossible. The cost of healing to continue attacking it was high. Still, it was the only option left, or ....
A ray of hope appeared! The ever-vigilant Lord Frank warned everyone on the team. The Tyrell Clan Castle was weakly defended, and a quick action allowed them to take it. Everyone celebrated this feat! It was the team's opportunity to recover...
Soon after, the same thing happened to Castle Greyjoy, which was in second place, ahead of them! A quick and energetic action allowed Lord Boness's team to also take control of the enemy clan's castle. Soon, they retook second place.
And at this point, the match came to a surprising end with such a turnaround.
Despite not having achieved 1st place, the team's recovery was sensational.
Everyone celebrated and breathed a sigh of relief with the result. Lord Boness in particular felt satisfied with his performance. Of course, there was always room for improvement, but the team's cohesion, even under pressure, was essential for recovery.
Now was the time to relax, but then prepare for the upcoming battles.
