                                  Battling Against my Former Kingdom

( The War of Kingdoms )

The warm and blissful season of summer had already come to an abrupt end. It had left the land that had previously flourished with its lush green touch and blooming flowers to now be shifted to the rich colors of gold, russet and red which now began to gracefully fill the leaves on the trees. The once sultry weather of summer was no more. In its place came the colder and cooler climate of its successor Autumn. This new season was not the only thing that had arrived.

A new moon began to form into the sky and that meant only one thing. The War of Kingdoms was here. The Seven would soon open the rift that they had created, enabling two enemy kingdoms to enter into each other's realm and fight one another in a long and seemingly endless battle to try and conquer each other’s kingdom. The kingdom who was able to successfully earn the most points and defeat their opponents will be crowned the ruler of the Seven Kingdoms and will ultimately be the victor of this battle.

Fallen leaves rustled in the wind as night time had arrived along with the great battle of the War of Kingdoms. I watched from atop the walls of my castle as enemy warriors from our opposing kingdom had already arrived and began to simply occupy all our Great Cities without anyone standing in their way.

Our adversaries had entered Kingdom 73 with full intent of conquering it for their own glory and leaving us with nothing but failure. The warriors from the opposing kingdom looked to be very imposing figures that were powerful to behold. The enemies that our kingdom was now facing were more formidable than most of the warriors that I had encountered here in Westeros. However the warriors from TQL may be able to outmatch them as no matter how strong and mighty their opponents were they never backed down nor surrendered. They would fight and face their enemies until they were able to vanquish them.

This time I found myself watching silently and in solitude, incapable of doing anything as flames began to break out and engulf our kingdom. My heart almost ceased to beat as I saw these intruders pillage and destroy buildings and villages in our kingdom and capture all the Great Cities that had once belonged to TQL including King’s Landing. I had wanted nothing more than to just be armed for battle and depart from the gates of my castle to face them on the battlefield. That's what my heart had longed for during that instance but I knew it would all be in vain. I would never stand a chance against them. The only thing I had or could do was hope. Hope that one of our powerful warriors like Hank, Elrik, or Dreadeye would appear out of the blue and stop them.

I clenched my teeth feeling outraged when I saw the banner our rival’s had placed high above King’s Landing as their way of declaring their victory over us. It was the banner of GL2, the leading alliance that had ruled kingdom 166.

I was very familiar with both this alliance and the kingdom we were fighting against.

There was a time when I had used to call kingdom 166 my home. This was the kingdom that I had resided in back when I was in my previous alliance WLZ where I had fought in many battles for that kingdom during my time there. Now my allegiance no longer lies there, it now belongs to TQL and kingdom 73! Despite this I was saddened that now we had to cross paths with my former alliance WLZ and I had no intentions of harming them during this battle.

This brought me back to before the battle had begun when my alliance had just discovered which kingdom we would be fighting against. I remembered how the news had hit me harder than the sound of thunder upon learning that it was Kingdom 166 as I didn’t want to harm WLZ.

I had requested an audience with our Queen Bella and expressed my concerns about fighting against WLZ wishing that no harm would come to them. “ Have no fear” , said the Queen, “No troops will be lost during this battle as The Seven have decided to bestow their mercy upon us granting the Lord of Lights Revival for all.”

Holding back tears I nodded and agreed. I knew at this point that there was nothing that could be done to prevent WLZ from meeting such a fate as word got out and now many members from my alliance wanted to shed their blood. WLZ is known to be a peaceful alliance that seldomly fought back or defended themselves so they would make easy targets for the members of my alliance. Regardless I vowed that even if everyone would cast their swords towards WLZ I would not lay even a finger on them.

My memories were soon interrupted when I heard allied forces cheering from a distance in the battlegrounds. To my utmost alarm I saw that Elrik had now arrived to fight against the forces of GL2 who threatened our kingdom. I felt we had more of a chance now that one of the most competent warriors of TQL was here. Though he had come alone, Elrik had boldly begun charging towards his enemies catching them by surprise. Elrik rode towards his foes with his sword in hand vigorously slashing at their armies as the warriors of GL2. He was able to single handedly take down and defeat some of the forces of GL2 who froze with disbelief. Causing the ground to be stained red with blood.  No one from GL2 had anticipated his arrival or that he would be that powerful.

Unfortunately Elrik was outnumbered against the rest of the forces GL2 who had finally come to their senses and now surrounded him. I looked upon in horror as I saw his soldiers fall to the swords of GL2 and capture his lord. Soon Elrik would also be captured and his entire regiments would be defeated along with any of our chances of victory. Just then I saw Elrik knocking out one of his captors and stole his horse, riding fast enough to escape his unwanted destiny.

I let out a sigh of relief when I saw his enemies trying to chase him but to no avail. He had already vanished from their sights.

Moments later he had returned to clash swords with the armies of GL2 once more. This time however Elrik was too fast for his opponents and led them to an empty chase. I then realized what his true motives were. It was not to take King’s Landing back or defeat them but to taunt and serve as a diversion in hopes that another powerful warrior of TQL would arrive and defeat our enemies and take back our kingdom. His efforts and strategy were not in vain as soon Hankhill had arrived and with him came a large number of reinforcements ready to help Elrik and drive the enemy forces from King's Landing. He and his armies began marching swiftly towards King’s Landing. I watched within seconds as the walls of King’s Landing came crashing down, then Lord Hank and his soldiers entered into the castle and easily defeated and drove out the Lord from GL2 who had been holding this castle.

With Hank’s help Elrik had been able to retrieve his captured Lord and return to safety while King’s Landing was rightfully in our custody. This successful outcome that I had just witnessed happen for our kingdom really made me believe that GL2 no longer held a chance against the might of TQL. However this was far from the truth. Hank had no intentions of keeping King’s Landing for a long duration and soon withdrew his troops from the building. He was given no choice as sooner or later they would have tried to take it back and he probably would have lost an insane amount of troops and maybe even the castle.  It was only him against the many powerful warriors of GL2 and CCf. Moments later the most menacing member from the enemy’s kingdom appeared. It was Neo the King’s right hand who had now taken command of the  enemy armies and seized control of King’s Landing reclaiming it for his kingdom.

I now once again saw another one of their banners being placed high above the castle as it lightly flapped in the air against the cool breeze. While I was disheartened at seeing King’s Landing back in the hands of our enemies but I knew that Neo and his allies were just too powerful. I remembered how powerful he had been back when I was part of their kingdom fighting alongside them to help our kingdom achieve victory in the War of Kingdoms.

I had seen how Neo was able to easily defeat most of his opponents with him being the strongest fighter in both kingdoms. I never wanted to be on the wrong side of the battlefield and have to face Neo but now that the tables have been turned. I wish to avoid him at all costs.

After gazing at the battle below for many long hours and seeing our kingdom gain a little success, I had decided that it was time for me to end my day. The hour had grown very late and I would need to be well rested so I would be able to partake in the rest of the battle. I hoped that our kingdom would meet a brighter path once the sun had risen.

The next day had arrived and I had awoken feeling refreshed and ready to fight for my kingdom. I saw the sun shining its illustrious golden rays of light onto the battlefield giving me hope and courage to fight. I soon learned from some of our allied soldiers that while I was resting, the warriors of TQL led by DreadEye, Solter, Demice, and some of the others had all rallied together and began to fight off our vicious opponents, even taking back King’s Landing on several occasions. These heroic acts had not only caused our kingdom to venture closer to taking the lead from GL2 and CCf but to also be closer towards the path of winning. Victory was in our midst I could feel it but Neo and his allies stood in our way from obtaining it.

Right within the treeline of King’s Landing I had spotted several warriors from GL2 and CCf led by Neo and King Kissabath all united together to hold and defend King’s Landing from anyone who tried to capture it.

At this very moment I knew I could no longer allow our adversaries to continue their reign in our kingdom and had to act fast.

With all the courage that I could muster I gathered my armies and got ready to fight. We were going to take back our kingdom for the name of TQL!There may have been no chances of me taking back King’s Landing during that time since it was heavily guarded with many soldiers and the walls had been well fortified but my resolve was not lost. According to reports that my scouts had come back with, all the Great Cities save for King’s Landing, were vacant. I gave the word to my soldiers, “ To arms for battle… Charge!!” and myself along with all forces went marching off with lighting speed racing towards four of the Great Cities with determination to reclaim them.

The journey to take back each Great City was a rather heart wrenching task for both me and my troops as one could never know if or when the enemy could show up and begin to attack us. However, whatever fears I had were long forgotten once we had arrived, tore down the walls, breached the gates and landed inside and captured Casterly Rock, Riverrun, High Garden, and The Eyrie.

My soldiers and I were overcome with such zeal that all our focus went towards the capture of each contested castle as the only thing that mattered to us at that moment was that TQL's Great Cities were restored.

We had now taken back four of our lost Great Cities. To increase the morale of my soldiers, I had made sure we placed the banner’s of our alliance high atop the tower of each castle so that they would wave proudly up in the air.

When the deed had been completed all that was left to do was to try to hold and defend our castles for as long as we were able to. Then this is where the fear that I previously harbored with me before retaking the castles returned.  Every moment I felt the lingering sense of fear that we would be overrun by the enemy as I held the buildings with my troops. My resolve and dignity would not allow this fear to bring me down and we continued to hold these castles for what seemed to be several hours. A watchful eye had been kept with each coming minute expecting our enemies to soon lay siege upon our castles and if they did we would be ready for their arrival, but that moment never came. The enemy was nowhere to be seen and at this moment I knew we had won this battle.  “We did it !!” I thought to myself. Now we were only one step away from reclaiming our kingdom, I would leave the fate of our kingdom in the hands of one of TQL's more competent warriors and hope they would arrive soon.

Feeling satisfied with this outcome and that our role was complete, I was ready to gather my soldiers and tell them to withdraw all armies from within each of our castles and return to our base but then the world became still. It was too quiet as if suddenly everything stopped moving, like the whole kingdom held its breath.  Then the breath of life was granted once more to the realm and everything started coming so fast before my very eyes. To my utmost horror I saw coming from a short distance a massive legion of troops could be seen bearing the banner of CCf and they were making their way rapidly towards our Great City the Eyrie.

Our enemies had resurfaced and they were being led by my former monarch Neo.

I instantly ran outside the camping base I had been stationed in.  Shouting from the top of my lungs I commanded my armies and scouts to vacate those cities.

“Abandon from all the castles at once!! Neo is coming!! He will destroy anyone who gets in his path. Rendezvous back to the base now!!” I said pleading to my soldiers. I ordered the gate to be left open so that the armies of my soldiers could enter with ease. Right after I sent them my warnings I saw my troops  leaving all the castles and returning to our base before Neo and his soldiers could capture those Great Cities.

It warmed my heart to see that no harm ever came to my troops and that soon they would arrive here and we would regroup and plan on what to do next. However I felt tense as if a dark cloud was hovering over me. Something was not right.  Just then I heard the loud rumbling sound of horses marching nearby. I trembled and looked in the direction of where the sound was coming from hoping that it was only either one of our allies or my soldiers that were returning. Instead I was met with the terrifying sight of Neo and Kissabath’s soldiers surrounding the base that I was stationed at.

My heart went racing as I saw them there with their armies towards the entrance of the opened gates.  “ Quickly, I shouted to the soldiers who had been left stationed with me at the base, “Close the gates now!! “ As my soldiers went to push down the gates I noticed that they would barely budge. Were doomed I thought. Neo and his allies charged inside our base and started to attack us. My soldiers were not willing to do down so easily and didn’t give up without a fight. “For the honor of TQL!!” they cried as they unsheathed their weapons, plunging themselves towards their deaths as their swords met with Neo’s blades. With one swing of his sword my soldiers began to fall to the ground sending their bloods splattering everywhere. It was a bloodbath inside the premises of my base. There was nothing that could be done to save my soldiers. I sadly watched as Neo had taken most of the lives of my soldiers until I was the only one remaining.

I was paralyzed with terror as I saw Neo lock eyes with me. He began heading in my direction with his jagged blade glittering maliciously in his hands.

As he neared closer I wanted nothing more than to flee but my legs wouldn’t move no matter how hard I tried. This was a result of the complete shock I was in due to witnessing the loss and sacrifice that my soldiers made. Soon Neo’s blade was seconds away from making the final blow that would end my existence. I was ready to accept my defeat and end and saw the light nearly flashing before my eyes. Then he backed off and headed towards the gates once he saw that my armies had returned.

Neo and his king Kissabath now turned their attention to my returning soldiers and began to slowly annihilate them before they could enter the base. I rushed to close the gates but they still would not shut down. I noticed the last three groups of my soldiers finally making it towards the base. I desperately made my last attempt to close the gates as I saw my soldiers rushing towards the Gates.

Neo and his armies chased behind them in a frenzy but before our foes could get there, the gates miraculously closed just in time to allow my armies to return safely. Trapping Neo outside. When I saw the enemy retreating I was relieved knowing that this nightmare was now over.

Sometime later after the tragedy and fate that had befallen my armies was over  one of the commanders of TQL DreadEye came with news that Neo and Lord Tulip were captured by Demice and that they were no longer a threat to our kingdom. Upon hearing the news King Sotler gathered his forces and retook our kingdom by force.

Soon King’s Landing had once again been in the rightful custody of TQL after so many long hours of fighting. The Warriors of TQL united their armies to reinforce the castles that our King had captured and help him defend the realm. I came to offer them aid with my remaining armies.

Together as a unified alliance we were not only able to hold this castle until the very end of this battle but were also able to take the lead.

The War of Kingdoms was soon coming to an end as the sun began to cast down its last ray of light as it setted beyond the horizon before departing from the sky. Before the rift would close forever I quickly returned to Winterfell in Kingdom 166 to say my last goodbye to Zlady and my former allies at WLZ who all greeted me warmly. I wished them all a goodluck and bid them farewell before returning to my kingdom.

After a long, hard and exhausting day of fighting, battle was finally over and Kingdom 73 emerged again as the winner having defeated the powerful warriors of GL2 and CCf. After returning to King’s Landing, all the residents of our kingdom cheered and celebrated the successful feats of this victory. All but one. Instead of embracing our victory with my allies I chose to  return to my castle and shedded many tears to each of the soldiers whose lives were lost during this war. I gazed at my window across the land feeling nothing but emptiness but then suddenly I saw a wondrous sight. Many bright lights filled the courtyard outside from my castle and I saw my lost soldiers instantly get resurrected due to the Lord of Lights Revival granted to us by the Seven. “ Welcome back soldiers of Westeros, may we fight together in many more battles to come.” I said to them as I welcomed them inside my castle.
