Legion of Frostborne - Zone 2&3

Hi everyone, i’m PO PandaMoratia. In today’s article we will talk about the Legion of Frostborne Campaign and how to navigate Zone 2 and 3.

Z2 gate opening : 

If you have entire control of the map then it is just a formality, you just have to keep securing your conquered territory while progressing into the Z2 and Z3.

However, if the matchup is balanced and no side has been able to secure a full access to Z2 then your objectives changes :

Z2 control at all cost ! You want to stay in the race to capture and control Ymir and to do so, you need to remain in full control of your Z2. To do so you will place many thermal towers around the gates leading to your Z2.

If the opponent controls a map that gives him access to your Z2, you will want to take it back from him to regain full control over your Z2. Aside from this, unless you are convinced that you have the upper hand, you will not be trying too hard to conquer Z1 territory, the time for this has passed.

Z2 to Z2 gate opening : 

This stage is the equivalent of the Z1 to Z1 gate opening with the same objectives. Only now there are only 4 maps instead of 8. The key is the access to the Z3 and most of the fight will happen around gates.

Z2 to Z3 gate opening : 

If your opponent also has an entry point to Z3 then this stage is mostly a race, who can take down his gate the fastest and road his Thermal Tower all the way to Ymir the quickest. Taking it and holding it for 24 hours is not an easy accomplishment if your opponent can come and contest you. So if you have Thermal Control over Ymir, you may want to try to seize your opponent's access point to the Z3 before you start to capture it. Lowering the amount of players that can come play trouble maker during the siege while the gate is shielded under your control.

Conclusion : 

It is very rare that fights still happen at this stage, usually the Z1 to Z1 gate opening already settles who wins. It must however be a great excitement if the contest is still going on as the map shrinks and battles get more intense.
