We Win Some... We Lose Some...??

“Is it already that time of the month where we skip drinking and start fighting?” Lord Pratap’s question sounded rather amusing to Log1c as he nodded to him.

“Yes yes it is damn time! You need to clean yourself up a bit and get ready to fight. I do not want to hear any excuses tomorrow and I dare you to sleep in tomorrow. Because if you don’t wake up on time, you might not wake up at all” Log1c knew Pratap’s nature and was already fed up fighting alone while Pratap always used to wake up a bit too late.

“Yeah I know, I know! I will be up and will be here tomorrow, on time. I have been eagerly waiting for a good fight and I believe that we might be able to get one this time” Pratap’s optimism was right there as always but now was the toughest part of it all - waiting. 

The night grew darker and darker but neither Log1c nor Pratap could sleep. Aadarsh too was pretty much awake although he was as always a bit relaxed and was in his ‘zen’ mode. And finally, Pratap fell asleep. Not sure whether it was the fatigue or the booze, but something had finally worked. 

And finally, the moment arrived. “It’s K294 and I see primarily ‘RIm’ alliance here” Aadarsh made his first observation. 

“Yeah. Shouldn’t be too tough imo as I see they have the number advantage for sure but none of their warriors is super strong or renowned. This should play as a big positive for us” Log1c was relieved to see that there were no whales on the enemy side.

As the time passed by, RIm started asserting pressure and took control of multiple castles on K378. It was like an open challenge and as usual, Pratap was still not around. The castles were pretty well filled and that meant that Log1c and Aadarsh had to be patient and wait for the right time. 

“What do we do about this guy? Aadarsh, now might be a good time for you to offer some wise advice!” Фалькон was fooling around by taking all the castles and he was too vigilant and therefore couldn’t be attacked and that was pissing Log1c a lot. But alas, there was the moment and Pratap had finally emerged, still a bit sleepy for sure but ready to go.

“So, what’s bothering you guys so much?” Pratap knew this was his moment to be all heroic and legendary and he’d definitely not miss out on that.

“It’s Фалькон and he has taken the KL but we can’t do much but glad that you’re finally awake. We’re all not even under the same banner this time so we can’t even rally. Maybe you can solo King's Landing?” Aadarsh briefed Pratap while he looked around, analyzed the map.

“No, I think I will just solo this guy’s castle for now. Most of his troops are outside in GCs so shouldn’t be a very difficult target” Pratap knew that fighting around GCs wouldn’t be too wise or fruitful and hence he had to make the tough call. He quickly geared up, took one deep breath and started marching towards Фалькон’s castle.

And booomm!! Фалькон had quite a lot of troops but Pratap still was able to defeat him quite comfortably. And that one hit was good enough to send chills down the spines of all the K294 warriors all of a sudden as they quickly started disbanding GCs and started bubbling their castles too. And all of that happened so fast that Log1c, Aadarsh and Pratap couldn’t even get a single additional hit.

“That ought to do it for now I guess, lol” Pratap laughed about it and all the RIm warriors scattered in fear. He continued, “Try to hold some GCs for time being but don’t get distracted as this time we cannot afford it. We are all on our own so let’s be attentive guys!”

“We need G9R banners to hold King’s Landing on K378. Otherwise we might have any buff for the whole month” Aadarsh had made a very crucial observation but the difficulty was, who’d hold the KL? And who’d be around to protect it in case any enemy tried to attack it?

“I’ll try to overlook and protect it. Let’s call our G9R allies to take it and I’ll stay around, hidden, and keep an eye on it. And if any enemy even dares to come near, I’ll kill them right away. Or maybe, you know, call you Pratap! LOL” Log1c was once again ready with a plan. Even though three of them weren’t actually together, each of them were contributing with their roles.

Few hours passed by pretty quietly and still there was no fight or conflict from RIm. But then all of a sudden, Pratap noticed a familiar name - DzirtDY! He was an old friend and also, in the past they used to fight under the same banner. And surprisingly, he was sitting near the KL, and he was unprotected too. Pratap knew this could be his moment to tease and scare an old friend so he sent out a scout but guess what, DzirtDY didn’t even have an anti-scout. What followed next was jaw-dropping for Pratap and all his fellas.

“Even if he wasn’t a friend and even if we all could’ve been together, there is no way we could’ve managed to kill all those soldiers. He’s just too fat” Aadarsh opined on seeing the scout report.

“Well, actually we could’ve but the losses on our side would’ve been a lot too and yeah, we would’ve helped him lose quite a lot of weight but anyhow, he’s a friend. Even if we’re on the opposite sides, we just can’t forget the good old days” Pratap replied.

“Well I am just glad that he’s not here to fight and makes our job so much easier” Log1c was a lot more satisfied with this fact alone.

And suddenly, Pratap spotted a guy sitting unprotected. He was actually trying to sneak past everyone and take control of a GC but unfortunately, he was spotted. What followed next was just the expected part… A complete annihilation!

Fortunately, шариК wasn’t in fervor so he managed to protect his remaining troops but this lose alone was pretty bad.

Few more hours passed by and yet again, despite making a strong start, K294 started falling behind but they were not willing to fight back at all. Pratap in particular was dying to have some fight but apparently the enemy had surrendered. Or did we speak too soon?  

Finally their King “МУЖ ЮРИЙ” arrived. Pratap was all alone on K294 and on King’s Landing and that definitely made him vulnerable. МУЖ ЮРИЙ wasn’t alone. He was accompanied by quite a few warriors like КАЛИОСТРО, шариК, Konigswinter, Zhenya96, вадмир, Просто Майор and many more. МУЖ ЮРИЙ had gathered a good army with him and he was totally ready to fight while on the other hand, Pratap was under WTF banner, Log1c was under FDH and Aadarsh was under RRH. This meant that they couldn’t rally together even if they wanted to.

“Well, that’s some shitty twist I guess! He’s here with an army and just like DzirtDY, he’s too loaded” Log1c knew that this wasn't good news.

“Yeah and looks like it’s gonna be 1 vs 10 at least” Aadarsh added.

“Then so be it” Pratap was determined and ready to fight. “We’ve fought and won against much worse odds guys, so let’s not feel down already. We are in lead already so all you guys need to do is ensure that all the castles in our kingdom are safe. I’ll take care of RIm and their leader by myself” he continued.

“You cannot fight him 1 on 1 in the castle as he has way too many troops. Let him try and take over a castle and then you can prolly figure it out” Log1c knew it wasn’t gonna do any good but he couldn’t help but give one piece of sensible advice.

“Yeah! You guys quickly get ready and head back to K378. I am gonna lure him into a fight here” Pratap was adamant as hell. 

МУЖ ЮРИЙ was pretty confident as were his companions. МУЖ ЮРИЙ took control of the KL and all the other warriors marched with him to reinforce and ensure that they have more than sufficient troops inside the castle to defend. Pratap saw it all happening but now the trouble was pretty much similar but a lot bigger. МУЖ ЮРИЙ wasn’t the same as Фалькон. In fact, he was a lot stronger and all his soldiers were bowmen, who could target the approaching army from afar.

“Scouts confirm over 3.7M bowmen soldiers inside the castle. And it won’t be a surprise hit if we attack them now. They’ve seen us here and they know that we’re coming. This has turned out a lot more depressing than expected” Pratap was extremely disappointed.

“There is no point in even thinking about it brother. It’s fine, we win some, we lose some” Log1c tried to console Pratap.

“I hope you’re not actually planning to solo the KL. It would be a bit too ambitious, even from your standards. There is no way you’re beating him. In fact, chances are, you’d be caught and held captive” Aadarsh knew Pratap needed some strong words to get his head straight but if only he knew him enough!

“I’m disappointed. You really think that with this much army, МУЖ ЮРИЙ can hold me captive? If so, let’s make a bet and see what happens!” Pratap had just got the final push he was looking for, a befitting challenge.

By the time Aadarsh could even realize what to reply, Pratap already was halfway down the hall, picking up his sword. Log1c and Aadarsh now knew at that point that there was no turning back.

Pratap geared up. He wasn’t as confident as ever but he knew what he needed to do and that there was no other way to win it. If and only if, he can scare МУЖ ЮРИЙ just like he did with Фалькон. Having a pinch of doubt and loads of hope, Pratap declared the war and started marching towards the KL, now it was time to know the actual result.

“Damn bro… He did it! LOL” Aadarsh couldn’t believe his eyes for a second but both Log1c and him had a beaming smile on their faces. 

But this was just the beginning. МУЖ ЮРИЙ sent out scout to the KL but Pratap was vigilant. He managed to quickly disband the KL before МУЖ ЮРИЙ could solo him with his bow army. But this was just one of the smart moves from him and МУЖ ЮРИЙ wasn’t aware of it. He once again took over the KL and all the soldiers ran in to reinforce and that’s exactly what Pratap was waiting for. He knew he couldn’t target МУЖ ЮРИЙ, so he now aimed all the other warriors. And as soon they dropped their bubble and gained fervor, it was game over for them.

Although, none of them anyways didn’t have much troops but they lost a lot more ‘morale’ than ‘soldiers’ in those hits. Log1c and Aadarsh too joined Pratap near the KL and they slayed all big and small warriors. But once again, МУЖ ЮРИЙ had managed to take back KL and this time, he managed to take one step up. 

“Now he has slightly more soldiers and also slightly more Tier 4 bowmen there. From whatever I’ve heard of them, their aim is far more precise. Now what?” Log1c knew that despite winning the KL back, Pratap’s losses were quite a lot and doing the same thing repetitively would hurt Pratap a lot more than МУЖ ЮРИЙ and therefore, as per his understanding, it was time to quit, not bleed.

Pratap knew Log1c had a sensible point and he was confused. “If only I could maybe try a couple more times and then maybe he’d give up? But I don’t know. I mean I know he’s pretty loaded with soldiers so it can go either way. Depends on his nature really” 

“This has been a too-close war for us. I don’t mind it either way, whether we win or we lose, I’ll be glad either way because we were restricted this time and we still fought off a decent opponent alliance” Aadarsh was rightfully proud and Log1c and Pratap too agreed with him to some extent.

Up until that moment, Pratap had managed to win all the battles, well thanks to his soldiers that always had his back and friends who always motivated him. He held his face high, proud of himself and his friends and soldiers. Right in that moment where he gained full confidence.

“I’ve won all the battles so far but now, it’s time to win the war! Let me try it again. This time, I’ll try to kill a lot more soldiers, if possible. That might break their morale” Pratap conveyed his intentions and marched away for yet another fight.

Annndddd… He did exactly what he promised. МУЖ ЮРИЙ lost a lot more soldiers in this assault and now it’s a matter of ‘who’d give up first’ really. МУЖ ЮРИЙ had quite a few dragons guarding the castle too but nothing could really stop Pratap at that point. As expected, Pratap anyhow again had to disband the KL and march back to his castle as he had no support from anyone and МУЖ ЮРИЙ had started a rally on the KL. But amidst all this, he still managed to snipe up on one of the RIm lords.

Some of his soldiers were marching back from the KL pretty slowly and as soon as they reached lord’s castle, Pratap slayed them all with perfection. And just like that, МУЖ ЮРИЙ was down by one more soldier. But now, Pratap needed to focus again on the defense.

“Offense and Defense are 2 very different things. I don’t think I should even try to defend the castle. Instead, I’d prefer killing them on my own terms and choice” Pratap was suddenly a lot more confident and his contagious behavior had made everyone around a bit more active and dedicated. G9R folks also started taking back all the castles on K378 and now the tides were turning. 

МУЖ ЮРИЙ had to disband the rally but then to everyone’s surprise, he once again marched out to take the KL and once again, all his fellow warriors followed to reinforce.

“He has got the heart, I’d give him that. Huge respect for him to continue fighting and he of course knows that I too am losing quite a few soldiers” Pratap couldn’t help but appreciate his enemy’s strategy and courage.

“Holy mother! This time he has gathered over 3.7M bowmen there and Pratap, almost 3.3M of those are tier 4. Please tell me that you’re not planning to still attack?” Now Log1c was slightly stressed out once again but Pratap had reached his utmost clarity of thoughts.

“If he has more bowmen inside the castle, it only means that when I’d attack, more of them would die. It changes nothing and it shouldn’t. We’re soldiers, knights, warriors! We’re not supposed to be afraid all the time! So I don’t care if he has 5M bowmen inside, I’ll go and kill them all” Pratap had said something after which, no one could possibly have any doubts and second thoughts.  

As he once again prepared himself to march for yet another fight, Aadarsh approached him and said, “That was one hell of a speech inside. This war has been one hell of a roller coaster but now, just go out there and finish it for all of us”

Pratap smiled and as he winked and mounted his horse, he said “With pleasure!” and rode away towards the KL.

The outcome once again was the same and just the way Pratap had promised, he killed a lot more bowmen this time and a lot more just fled away. МУЖ ЮРИЙ at this point understood that there is no way of winning this way. If he had tier 4 bows, Pratap too commanded tier 5 cavalry soldiers and there was no way that he could defeat Pratap. 

Once МУЖ ЮРИЙ withdrew, that marked the end of the war! Once everyone saw МУЖ ЮРИЙ putting on a bubble for his safety and marching away from the battlefield, a huge warcry was heard - G9R, Aadarsh, Log1c and Pratap, all of them had finally managed to win a war which was almost impossible to win because they were never able to hold the castles.

“They say ‘You win some, you lose some’ but I wanna ask, why lose some or even any of them? I say we don’t lose anything until we’re trying our best. We lose a lot more when we don’t want to try or are ready to surrender. Now some would argue that we must know when to surrender but my dear friends, I say that there is no good time to surrender, ever! So we always get up and fight like today!” Pratap’s words gave chills to all the young warriors and even the old ones started feeling a lot younger!

“How does he manage to do all that? I mean, wasn't that too good a speech from someone who’s a bit impulsive and young too?” Log1c was happily surprised and a bit shocked too.

“Well , to be honest I don’t know that either. But surprisingly, I don’t even know how he manages to drink so much either!” By the time Aadarsh could complete his sentence, Pratap had already made himself comfortable with a flask of fine wine as all the admirers surrounded him!
