GoTWiC - All-Out War - Scarlet & Tempest vs Frost

UTB failed in the attempt to qualify in the top 16 to enter the Vanguard league for this new season of All-Out War. Therefore, it had to play again in the 'Normal' league, where it was assigned as the faction leader of the Tempest, alongside the alliances N0X and *E*.

As GoTWiC is a game of war and strategy, the main way to advance in this game is to make allies who can help you and whom you can assist when needed. This is what we did by aligning ourselves with the Shadow faction, led by BTa, and the Scarlet faction led by the alliance DUM.

Positioned between these two factions on the map, direct battles with other factions are challenging for us. Therefore, to gain points and new buildings for our faction, we have to assist our allied factions in their battles.

We are doing this in today's battle, the fight between Scarlet and Frost at the 'M. Industrial City-13' building owned by Frost! This building serves as a connection point for Frost to the 'Forgotten Land.' Hence, we expect an intense battle where Frost will do everything possible to defend their building.

There are only 5 minutes until the battle begins! It's our first fight of the season, and we don't know if Frost has allies coming to help them in this battle. Therefore, we must coordinate well with the Scarlet faction!

The strategy is already set! We will group at Village 810, while Scarlet will gather near the north gate of the building they need to destroy to allow us to enter and eliminate Frost's troops!

This happens! Scarlet destroys the gate very quickly and enters the interior of the building, allowing our rallies and troops to enter as well.

The main targets will be their medics who provide healing and resilience to the soldiers. This way, if their soldiers don't receive healing and resilience, it will be easier for us to defeat them. The fight is chaotic, making it challenging to find ideal targets while avoiding attacking Scarlet's troops. It's equally challenging for Scarlet because our faction color (green) is very similar to Frost's color!

Throughout this time, both we and Scarlet are watching to see if Frost will receive support from another faction. But it seems that no one will come to help them in this battle. Without strong support, it's only a matter of time before Frost's defense weakens, and Scarlet can bring in even more formations inside the 'Municipal Center.' First, 'Municipal Center' needs to be destroyed, after which victory will go to the alliance that can keep more formations inside the circle.

Even though Frost is alone in this battle, they prove to be a formidable opponent. Our rallies suffer significant losses and are forced to retreat to receive healing and resilience. Before re-entering the battle, we need to determine our strategy precisely to force Frost to step back, allowing Scarlet to penetrate with an even greater number of formations into the Municipal Center. We decide to attack from the south, where Frost had their medics grouped, blocking them between us and Scarlet, making it easy to kill them.

However, as we are regaining our troops' healing and resilience and preparing for the second raid, a surprise occurs! Frost, noticing our regrouping and the increasing number of Scarlet's troops, decides to abandon the building and retreat. A surprising decision, as we expected Frost to fight until the last soldier in the hope of defending the building.

At that moment, all our troops are automatically 'sent home,' leaving only the troops of the winning faction there.

It was an intense battle where Frost proved that even alone, they can withstand an attack from two factions! But they certainly did not expect today's two factions, Tempest and Scarlet, to be so powerful and well-coordinated. Even though they chose to give up the building, it was the right decision. In the end, the result would have been the same, but by choosing to surrender, they saved some of their soldiers and resources.

Even though at its core GoTWiC is a war game, not only strength is essential to achieve victory. Today proved that strategy and a strong ally make a difference in a battle. No matter how powerful the opponent is, they won't be able to resist two groups that divide and weaken them... 'Divide et impera!'

As a lesson learned after this battle, Frost decides to come to the negotiation table to discuss a possible collaboration with our faction, Tempest, and Scarlet. A proposal that, together with Scarlet, we decide to accept. Consequently, in the southern and eastern parts of the map, many battles will follow in which the new trio of factions, Tempest, Scarlet, and Frost, will collaborate to eliminate all enemies.
