As the Siege of Winterfell began, the air was thick with anticipation. DEP, a powerful alliance, has been focused on the Alliance Conquest Playoffs for so long that this was their first time participating in the event as an alliance.
The leadership team had just welcomed new members and formed a fresh management team to guide the alliance members through this uncharted territory. For me, personally, the Siege of Winterfell held more appeal than the Alliance Conquest Playoffs. It required true teamwork and coordination between members, with many buildings to watch over, fight for, and ultimately take control of.

As I looked around at my fellow DEP members, I couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement and determination. We were ready to prove ourselves as a formidable force in this event, and the first steps were about to be taken.
DEP 85 participants watch over the FDH 78 army at Greyjoy Fort South from Stark Fort North. Both alliances stare at their enemies' moves. Do they weigh on Armory for Attack buff or Hot Spring for Healing buff? The DEP command team told us to sit in the middle, so FDH could not see where we were heading. FDH seems likely to be going to Hot Spring. We shall see.
The countdown starts, 3. 2. 1! The Siege has begun!
FDH sent most of their armies to the Hot Spring. DEP following their moves to send armies to Hot Spring. The two alliances were coming face-to-face in the heart of Hot Spring, and neither side was willing to back down. The runner of DEP arrived at the Hot Spring before the FDH army and waited for the perfect moment to strike.
FDH's fast army hesitated to come into the Hot Spring and waited for their reinforcements to arrive. The fate of this small but vital piece of land became quickly into a battlefield inferno. I saw FDH sending waves of troops to attack the army through pincer attacks.
I lost one of my three deployments, then I saw many DEP warriors fighting on the outskirts of the Hot Spring. The enemy needs to come into the blue circle to take the Hot Spring. Our new leading team commands all of us to get into the Blue Circle!! to take Hot Spring. FDH are disappearing one by one, wave after wave of armies are poring in the Hot Spring.
This building gives the owner an amazing buff of 100% Healing Speed a fantastic buff which is much needed for this event as the healing cost is drastically more expensive than other events.

Both DEP and FDH armies clash head-to-head with DEP 7 more players in the event it gives us the player advantage over FDH and in this event you must take advantage of everything you have! We use our extra players and forcefully evict FDH from the area. After the last FDH army was gone DEP moved down South. Some enemies were there, but they were ultimately outnumbered, they were pounded into dust. DEP had taken control of the Northern Territories, and the FDH were nowhere to be found. DEP kept pushing their army to the South. Taking Greyjoy Outposts one by one and the Southern Buildings.
I retreated my marches to heading back to the South. Winterfell opened 10 minutes into the match and the resource package was out. But, FDH did not come to Winterfell to fight for the package.
The convoy battle is the main combat in the Siege of the Winterfell event. Protecting the package is one of the most important jobs for someone to do in Siege of Winterfell without securing the package it makes it a lot easier for the other team to catch back up in points if they are able to run around and take back the buildings which are not heavily guarded anymore. The package often drops on the field and picking it up is an excruciating task. Also, depending on the building that we convoy to, they may have variating results.
Sending reinforcements to flip buildings is one of the many strategies of the Siege of Winterfell event. I wish FDH to fight back more, but they were fighting with their former teammates who joined DEP not long ago. Maybe, they don't want to give away free elimination points. FDH seems to have stopped retreating its troops
At this point of the match FDH have no more intentions of playing or trying to come out of their base. DEP all sit around FDH base and offer some free snacks and drinks to any willing players. No one takes the free stuff! With the match coming to end I have to thank FDH for putting up a good fight at Hot Spring and I hope FDH have a good rest of the season! DEP finished the first match of this season with first win! Good Start! See you next match!
